The Battlecruisers have arrived and were replenished and put back to sea in a race track pattern that takes them into the Irish Sea and around the coast of Ireland in groups of two. This accounts for six of the ships, the seventh is dedicated a Naval Training ship and is used to beef up the Irish Sea Fleet by joining a pair of the patrolling vessels whenever a new crop of officers of sailors need a cruise at sea to hone their skills. The Irish Air Force is expanded by 20 squadrons as well. These squadrons are being dedicated to an elite new force of machines and pilots. The J-20 will be most likely chosen to fill the ranks of these soon to be created combat units.

Three Motor Missile Divisions are formed from the ranks of the Irish Army. These Motor Missile Divisions are to be equipped with a selection of short ranged missiles designed to quickly wheel their way into battle and to bring targets under a concentrated attack by a distributed force. The Irish Army, Air Force, and Navy are ordered back to their bases to prepare for a joint long term exercise to test newly evolving weapons systems and tactics against a notional enemy invading Ireland. The exercises are planned to last one month and for the first time an aggressor force will be used to add a life like nature to the event. This aggressor force will a full Irish Army Group, Naval Task Force, and Air Force Battle Group. Giving the Aggressors roughly 25 percent of the manpower of the Irish Defense Forces.

The Irish Defense Forces ends its exercise and begins and extensive review of the results. Immediately it is seen that the communication hubs and land lines are extremely vulnerable to attack. To beef up this weakness a military intranet is ordered and the triple redundancy rule is put into place that requires all county and national command centers to be linked with no less than three land lines. Another immediate weakness is the jamming of signals. It becomes obvious just by looking at the results the Irish Air Defense Command needs aircraft that are capable of jamming enemy signals and equipment to seek and destroy enemy jamming units. The AESA radar network is well capable of getting around most jamming but the interference that is wreaked on local communications traffic is creating unacceptable delays in the transferring of orders and information.

Irish Air Force is beginning the field testing of the Super Harrier III Aircraft. The J-20 Aircraft is providing admiral service and is being heavily considered for active duty. The Irish Air Force is beginning to look outside of Ireland for a replacement for the F-22 as while the aircraft was cheaply enough had considering the super-abundance of them on the open market due to fallen regimes, they are not ideal for service in both the Irish Air Force's land and sea roles.

Anti-AWACs missiles are being considered. These are dual mode missiles that track on two independent systems, HARM and EO capable, though with a much more modest warhead. Given most AWACs planes aren't exactly agile nimble beasts, the idea is to inflict enough damage to force them to return to base. At least, this is the hope, but like all grand plans there are apt to be numerous wrinkles in the process. With any luck bobtube would soon have a few hilarious Irish Defense Force Missile Tests uploaded by civilians who might happen to be in the right place at the right time. No doubt this could cause numerous migraines in the Ministry of Defense and much hilarity everywhere else.

The Irish Army Missile Divisions have been stood up and certified ready for deployment. They are equipped with two regiments of short and medium range multi-purpose missile launchers. They are also equipped with a security detachment, ADA vehicles, and a considerable logistical and support element. These divisions are capable of firing SAM, ASM, Ballistic ASM, and Cruise missiles. It is expected that the divisions will give Ireland a significant asset in an armed conflict.
