To: Whomever it concerns with the Foreign Affairs department within the Empire of Vostokslavia
From: Dominic Plantagenet, King of England

I would like to cordially invite an Ambassador of the Empire of Vostokslavia to Buckingham Palace to discuss the past and present diplomatic situation between England and Vostokslavia with the aims of reconciling past offences and return to a friendly and positive relationship between Vostokslavia and England.

Signed

Dominic Plantagenet, King of England
The Foreign Ministry considered the invitation from England carefully. Vostokslavia was already on an uneven foot in diplomatic affairs and getting too entangled in the British Isles might create some waves. On the other hand one can never have too many friends. The Ministry sent a reply accepting the King’s offer, giving the job to Ambassador Felix Ivanovich Matveev, a high ranking official in the Foreign Ministry. He flew to London as soon as his office could schedule the time.

Ambassador Felix Ivanovich Matveev would be escorted from London City Airport to Buckingham Palace before being shown into an office room a=looking out over the Palace gardens. Dominic would be quick to approach the Ambassador and introduce himself.

"Greetings, and welcome back to London Ambassador, it is long overdue that England and your Empire move forward and make ammends over past offences that the United Kingdom caused. Please, take a seat and help yourself to a drink Mr Matveev. My apologise for being rude, I am Dominic Plantagnet." he said, as confidently as he could without sounding patronising. He had to impress the Russians to fix the relationship.

"Thank you for inviting me into your home, Your Majesty." Felix said as he helped himself to a stiff drink. "I have to admit not everyone in Vostokslavia is convinced that we should reopen relations with the nations of the British Isles since Germany treats the region like its personal plaything. Nevertheless I am confident things will improve though this meeting."

"Germany does have a habit of continually stepping in and interfering, but it does remain a part of its sphere. However, I didnt invite you here to talk about the Germans Mr Matveev. I invited you here so that English and Russian diplomacy can re-open after the Windsor Kings closed the door in Russias face over the United States of the Island. Unless I can absolve England of its past sins, It will make redefining and rebuilding the national identity of this country, that much more difficult. I humbly request of you ambassador, to support the reopening of Anglo/Russian relations."
