amanalan
We should call it the 'War War', since it appears the only reason for it that holds water is the parties were bored with peace. Which spawns the alternative name, the "We Were Bored with Peace War". or we could go with the more complicated started as a minor conflict which got blown out of proportion war
Kaiser
The only person that'll win in this war is NPO. There will be other winners. Mainly other large alliances that will stay nuetral
Unsure
or we could go with the more complicated started as a minor conflict which got blown out of proportion war That is literally every war. Also, doing warstats an hour or two preupdate would be best. Ideally it would be just before someone new declares, but I don't think alliances particularly want to tell Gopher when they're declaring
im317
i would go with at least 2 hours before update. then again i like it when the normal update is done at 7 CNST
Gopherbashi
Second question, regarding war stats. When a new alliance joins a coalition, should their score be included in that coalition's "yesterday score"? ie. LUE is in war at 30 score, and NAAC joins them today, and has 20 score. Should this be displayed as 1) 30.00 --> 50.00 or 2) 50.00 --> 50.
Great Lord Moth
Definitely option 1.
Tarikmo
Didn't realize what option 2 meant. Now that I understand, I'll vote 2 Edited January 27, 2010 by Tarikmo
Kaiser
I'd say option 2. Then you can see the actual score hits the coalition is taking.
Aeternos Astramora
Both. Have a day-to-day score change with alliances in it from yesterday, a statistic with the alliance scores of new alliances joining, and the net total gain. President Obama
I like Option 2 better.

im317
My god, you guys are impossible. you should have known this would happen before you asked . personal i don't care as long as i can see what each alliance on each side did. if i want to get there true change i can do the math myself. Kaiser
Goodish day for TOP incoming.
thedestro
Our jump in score almost makes up for the fact that now we have to deal with Penkala. Almost. That was me not Penkala
Drai
Option 2 is best because like somebody said, you can see the hits they're taking.
Watson895
You can see that anyway, and surrenders and alliances joining a side are gains and losses for that side. It's good how it is.
Farnsworth
No need to add them to the day before. You can see the hits each alliance is taking individually and can do the math to determine the overall slide if you want.
Unsure
Yeah, I'm agreeing with the Option 1 type folk. It's obviously a gain when a new alliance joins, so why not show it as such?
MTTezla
Just popping in to thank Gopher for doing this retarded amount of work. Also, I like Option 1.
Jyrinx
Option 1; it's just like the addition of a new nation to an alliance. The alliance/side got bigger, so show it as an increase. Just my opinion
Shodemofi-NPO
I vote Option 2. If you do option 1 then the +/- part tells you absolutely nothing. We'll still be able to see which side is bigger in option 2, and we'll see the hits the side is taking.

Gopherbashi
Hopefully you guys can make some sense of that. It's based off the All Alliances Display, and it'll stay that way. If there's anything else you want, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
im317
any chance you can put the results up head to head, which if i did my math right shows that Polarists lost .27 less then \m/oralists did.
WcaesarD
Nicely done with the war updates, Gopher. I can imagine it's quite a bit of extra work for you, and it is appreciated.
