Most of the statistical decline was intentional. We were already sanctioned and got our in game flag. There was really no need to maintain the sanction at that point. So we cut back on recruiting and tried to become a smaller more close-knit alliance rather than the massive chaos that we were.

While I knew we would inevitably take some pretty major damage, I must say I'm surprised to see it be that much in relative terms. Though it does make sense. Unlike some XX or SF alliances, we didn't look for soft targets to hit. We took on the hard fronts that needed doing.

Um, well VE lost half its NS in the last war. PC took similar damage. iFOK got attacked by like 10 alliances. SLCB same. MK took a great deal of damage and you know what happened to GOONS. XX took little damage in the last war and DR stayed out. There is no dominant bloc either.

edit: Umbrella didn't take much damage except for the middle-lower tiers getting ravaged because of the dumb upper tier PM strategy.

I think that he means that PB and DH are taking little damage, while others - not only those on the smallest side - are being damaged more.

My opinion is that stats are only numbers, and by themselves they don't demonstrate anything about dominant blocs or puppet-masters etc.

I realized that you were talking of the other war: he was talking of [i]this[/i] war, anyway. Do you think that there's a relation between how much people got engaged then, and how much they're engaged now? No, it's just that they aren't the main players this time around. berbers also neglected to mention that NATO took little damage in the last especially compared to alliances on the winning side while there is currently overkill on FAN with both TPF/NATO(and it always was overkill.) Not a dig at NATO, but glass houses. Well, NG did declare on Fark, so that's more of an issue with damage output from that alliance. VE is also fighting App who have a fairly solid upper tier. DT also took heavy damage, so they're an exception.

edit: another reason was I had planned to deploy on GATO after the PM strategy was revealed and we could get out of nuke anarchy to resolve the GATO vs Maroon stalemate and also NATO since they hadn't been covered and to see if it'd lure the Hopeless Coalition out. Then the maroon front peaced out and NATO got hit by Fark.

To be fair i think not so much allies of DH/PB is under attack currently. I'm not sure who to blame for this...

Also NG is a meatshield again, we are just used and abused.

And yeah last war was PB's war definitely, they took out most of NpO's side, now they "yearly 1 big war" cycle is broken, so it's possible that some people eat popcorn instead of looking for their sword.

[Aeternos Astramora]

PB/DH isn't taking much damage because they're not the central part of the war. The central parts are SF, XX, DR, and MJ because they were some of the first alliances involved or directly tied to them, and they're the ones taking the most damage. PF is only receiving moderate damage because nobody attacked TOP and everybody is peace moding their upper tier. C&G is only receiving moderate damage because they're fighting a porous enemy whose strength is the ability to swarm, but C&G has enough nations to eliminate that strength.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring that up, but like chef said before, this is light lifting for Valhalla compared to their previous wars, so I think they'll be just fine.

NoR have been excellent and are an efficient machine.

I don't think anyone will take a VE or GOONS style hit though, considering this war isn't close to even.

Thanks for completely dismantling your own argument that you/DH/PB aren't doing the lifting in this war because you did it last war...

edit: Umbrella didn't take much damage except for the middle-lower tiers getting ravaged because of the dumb upper tier PM strategy.

What in the hell? How does that mean anything? And by previous wars, I mean Karma and BiPolar, which were almost two years ago and they sat the last one out. What I'm saying is even though Mjolnir is taking a bigger hit, it's nothing they can't recover from them because it's not a 50% NS loss.

How does my planning in a previous war that took place this year affect the outcome in this one? I just meant that the alliances that took really heavy hits earlier in THIS year aren't at the center of things. GOONS and VE are still reeling. Was I supposed to convince Valhalla not to fight Polar and SF? That's why they wanted to do: fight a war they actually wanted.

You were talking about DH/PB vrs NPpO earlier this year when you said DH took a major hit so they are basically sitting out this war. Are you saying Mjolnir didn't fight hard in the previous war?
