[/quote] Its not that we didnt see this war coming from a mile away, its that we couldn't really tell how we were going to fight this war until it was upon us. The preempt from Fark on NPO was something out of our control and (according to some members in GATO and ODN) caused C&G and MK to attack one of our strongest allies and force them away from any help we could have gotten through this war. [/quote] So because you didn't have weeks to plan out some super awesome strategy beforehand you decided to just not fight? An alliance war isn't exactly that complicated. Step 1: Fight. The number one problem Argent had was only Hellas, Ethan, and Justin in our range, and rarely with a slot open. You guys could have done some serious damage to all of us if you all hadn't hid in peace mode. While many of you didn't have navies and/or warchests, some of you who hid in peace mode the entire time did have them and still didn't come out of PM. I never had more than 3 people in my range, and I ended the war at ~75K NS. You had 3 in the top 40 in war mode. Either way, I don't mind the war is over. Even the best strategy wouldn't have saved us from what happened and I dont think a major offensive would have come close to saving us from the curb stomp we received. I can lie to you and say everything worked out like we planned but to be honest, I guess a lot of it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Also, I just want to say that I really have no say in Sparta and am no where near the planning stage so most of this is just pure speculation on my part. Its a friendly advice, based on experience, not meant to be insulting. In "karma" war, I gave some advice to some decent VE nations I fought (like the one that you dont actually need 30 bombers in an escorted bombing raid) and they thanked me for it later on when it came in handy next wars. While some folks understandably have grudges, and will find those feelings unsatisfied by both Sparta's lack of fighting in the upper tiers, and the wording of the surrender, UE holds no grudge and will wish Sparta the best moving forward. At least in our lower tiers, we saw a lot of action, and it was a good fight down here. [/quote] Yeah, I was seriously lacking in that department. Due to a shifting in trades I haven't yet been able to reach my intended trade circle, and my improvements number was in the negative. So I couldn't really get anything, and didn't intend to until the war ended. As for 30 bombers, I only ever used 2, more than that is a waste.
