Honestly I feel like a complete !@#$% just talking out loud about it on Skype. I don't think my self esteem could take the kind of hit that going to a meeting specifically to talk to other people who play a text based browser game about playing text based browser games out loud and in person.

The first rule of playing a game like CN is that what happens in text stays in text. :P

A CN convention? Uhm, you can count me out of that one. If I ever meet anyone from CN in RL, it'll be for OOC not IC.

Been there, done that. Had half our govt, and former gov drinking in the same room. Basketball Ninjas call that a mirror AMIRITE?

Bahahahah. Well played. The variance in our NBA fandom is simply the multiple personalities coming out. Schad's personality is a 6 year old girl, hence liking the team with a dinosaur.

I can't even drum up conversation with friends and loved ones, much less you @$$&%*!#.

That said, I'd might go and just lurk in the background pretending I worked at the convention center/hotel/sleazy truckstop chapel just to see what sort of freaks would go to a CN Con. Then I'd probably key somebody's car on the way out.

'Though there are a number of folks who I'm sure would be cool to revel/suffer in our blatant alcoholism together.

Speaking of which, I think Drew Curtis lives in my town, that's sort of CN related.

One thing that works is for people in a particular area to meet for a cup of coffee or a beer. It means people can come and go as they want.

For those who are involved in gaming conventions or sf conventions or something similar, set up a CN meet and greet. They are fun to have, have done them for other games/reasons and met some really neat people over the years.

I know Randalla and I are planning coffee again, 3rd time we've done it, in February (southern California). and wouldn't mind anyone else showing up. Location is still TBD, but greater LA area, Venice and Pasadena are on the drawing board. We usually do Intelligentsia cause they got rocking good coffee.

"Excuse me, miss? Would you mind not shaking that in front of me right now? I'm in the middle of a lengthy treaty negotiation...." *pushes glasses up nose* *gets escorted out*

A few people in Legacy have met and I have intentions of meeting some of the people that have followed me for years, other than that I dont have much interest in others. It is defiantly not something I'd fly to go too, if it were in my area I might drop by...if I had nothing else to do
