Bloc Most Likely to Succeed in 2012: The Horde (Sarah, Triyun, TBM, Melech, Mara)

Player of the Year: Triyun, Centurius, Shammy Socialist

Best Declaration of War: Cochin Invading RA (there were rumors of &*&^ing in pants in Nordic)

Best Character RP, 2+ players: They are linked, I think both stand well but so there is competition Unraveling the Gordian Knot

Best Character RP, Arc: The various political RPs of Pravus Ingruo

- Unlike most countries which tends to just change their exterior while the basic elements is the same old staleness, Pravus Ingruo has been through the most political changes within the the same (succeeding) country. This is in contrast to Shammy, who has shown the most change between different countries.

Also, I introduce the motion to invalidate all nominations that does not have any supporting sentences.

I'm making these nominations based on activity over the course of the entire year.

Friendliest Nation - Selenarctos - Probably one of the most consistently friendly and accommodating nations in CNRP, that I've seen since joining the community last February, I consider Selenarctos to try to be helpful to anyone who is located in the Oceanic or Indian Ocean regions.

Most Hostile Nation - Greater Germany/Continental Empire of Dalmatia/Et Cetera - Consistently plots roleplays around hostilities, Greater Germany is probably one of the most hostile nations in CNRP. Examples can range from a meeting earlier in the Autumn '11 between Cochin and Dalmatian officials, to various attempts to bring about a general war in Central Asia and Europe.

Best Diplomatic Nation - Austria - Sarah put her back into forging Austria into a diplomatic powerhouse during the time she played as Austria, despite having a lower national strength, she successfully wove her way through many channels to be able to forge an alliance network that basically allowed her to hold North American, North African, and Asian colonies. Austria was always able to stay one step ahead of its diplomatic rivals, such as its handling of North America, which basically allowed Austria to maintain its Pacific Northwest colony.

---

Best Military - Kingdom of Cochin - Yes, I'm going to go out a limb and say it, and probably catch some hell for it as well, and despite claims that I know I will hear about Cochin copying other peoples' military technology, who wouldn't? I make this nomination out of respect that Cochin built a huge and well-organized military machine, and dedicated a lot of thought into his strategic position. He may have not had the strongest and most advanced fighters, or the most advanced weaponry in the world overall, but he had a strong knowledge of his position in Central Asia, an eye for tactics and strategy, and put a lot of dedication into keeping his military affairs organized.

Best Nation Building RP - JEDCJT - Holy Empire of Ursalia (And its Derivatives) - Going out on a limb with this one, as well, as I know some people consider JEDCJT to be too inactive at times. But I will say that whenever he posted news posts, or made reports about the internal workings of his nation, he put his all into it, they outstripped my news posts in content, and made up for the length between posts with their length and aforementioned content. I think that his news posts and nation building definitely deserve some mention.

Best Economy Building RP - Lynneth - Ceylon/Guyana - Although known for his love of space and science, I believe that Lynneth has consistently roleplayed a solid economic base woven into his news threads. He's been consistent with the economic side of roleplays integrated into his space and science shens, and I think that consistency deserves credit.

Best Rookie Nation (First-time Player) - Most anyone who has stuck it out from 2011 into 2012 deserves a nomination if they've been here long enough, this place can be a tough crowd sometimes, and I'm not going to play favorites, and I'm not going to nominate myself either.

New: Best SCIENCE! - Lynneth - Ceylon/Guyana - No brainer, Lynneth's nation is probably the epitome of a technocracy, dedicated to the forward advance of science, and this has been consistent since I've been here, I can't think of another candidate for this position.

---

Most Powerful Nation: Military - United Federation of the East/Tianxia - While I made a nomination of "Best Military" to Cochin, its pretty obvious Triyun deserves the most credit when it comes to following through with the military he has. He has the knowledge to use the military he has to great effect, and has the initiative and drive to use it with near absolute impunity, therefore I consider him the most powerful nation when it comes to military action and power.

Most Powerful Nation: Influence (IC) - Austria - The diplomatic clout that Sarah had, that I alluded to earlier in this nomination period allowed her to easily be the most powerful nation in terms of influence, while playing as Austria. While Austria may not exist now, if there was major diplomatic intrigue going on throughout a large chunk of 2011, Austria was involved in it some way or some how. The influence that Austria was able to amass was easily second to none during the course of 2011, and the effects of some of its diplomatic actions are still lingering to this day.

Most Honorable Nation - Slavorussia - Justinian the Mighty has stuck to his guns for a long time, and did so against some major odds in 2011, I think he deserves some credit for that. He steered Slavorussia through some fairly rough seas and kept it together, and was recognized by many players as an honorable player, and I have to respect that, therefore I tender this nomination for that.

Most Influential Nation by Continent

Asia - United Federation of the East - No brainer, a mouse didn't fart in Asia without Triyun's approval it seemed, and his influence over regional politics over the course of 2011 was consistent.

Europe - Germany (KaiserMartens) and/or the Athenian Federation - Kind of split on this nomination, as I feel that although Centurius is certainly in charge of Europe in terms of influence, I see Martens' Germany as a very influential nation in its own right. Located smack-dab in Central Europe, Martens held a lot of clout over Northern Europe, while Centurius was more centered towards the Iberian Peninsula and Southern Europe.

North America - Cajun Federation (Myself) - Yes, I nominated myself for something, but the reason being is that during the time the Cajun Federation was around, it basically tore many old existing dynamics and regional doctrines to pieces. The fact that the Cajun Federation did not suffer from any attack despite it challenging existing nations in the region, particularly the existing doctrines of the Holy American Empire and the Empire of Pravus Ingruo. At the same time, it faced off between two other powers (Texas and Ursalia) that were objecting to its' actions and the Cajun Federation came out of the ordeal without a scratch, and established itself as North America's regional power for much of the summer and early autumn.

South America - Lunar Republic - Yes, Lynneth again, I feel as though that the Lunar Republic, since its formation, easily exerted a regional influence over South America, and was able to capitalize on the power vacuum that was left by the Holy American Empire. Lynneth was able to build a relatively stable continental community, albeit despite some internal woes that has plagued that community, he did a good job forming it and establishing influence over South America.

Oceania - Selenarctos - Easy enough said, Selenarctos has kept a steady watch over the lands of the Southern Cross, and it was easily alluded to the most influential nation in the region. iKrolm does a good job consistently keeping an eye on things throughout his region, and responds consistently to problems within the community. His longstanding commitment to the region itself is a testament to that influence that Selenarctos holds over the region, and it is by his hand that the Oceanic Union remained a force for as long as it did.

Africa - Aeon - Pretty much a no-brainer here, Executive Minister keeps a solid influence over Africa, and that hold was consistent over the time I've been playing here.
Most Powerful Bloc: Military - The Sovereign Initiative - Can easily be said that The Sovereign Initiative had probably some of the best military minds in CNRP clustered together while it existed, the fact that it knew how to use its military, and use it well, and consistently use it over the course of 2011 was cause for this nomination.

Most Powerful Bloc: Influence (IC) - Red Dawn - Yes, I brought up the red menace, why? Because it was probably 2011's 'Cool Kids Club', it basically consisted of half the world at one point or another, and could act with impunity basically anywhere it wanted. I call it the most powerful bloc in terms of influence because of its relatively short run, but huge membership, which was attributed to its huge levels of influence, and was even able to use non-Red Dawn members in its wars. Red Dawn was easily the most influential bloc of 2011, despite its short run.

Bloc Most Likely to Succeed in 2012 - Frankly, I'm not going to nominate anyone, because I don't like to make guesses, anything can happen, and I look forward to what the rest of 2012 brings.

---

Best National Leader (IC) - The Hapsburg Sisters - The creators of international intrigue in 2011 and still producing some pretty epic result in 2012, I think this trio was probably the best (set) of national leaders over the course of 2011. They were dynamic leaders, well thought-out, with unique personalities, abilities, faults, and demeanors, and I think Sarah should be recognized for them. Call me biased or not, but I think they deserve a solid nomination.

Nicest Player - Cochin - To be completely honest, despite some reservations people may have, I think Cochin was probably one of the nicest players I encountered in my time here, and was a respectable opponent through our last war. He put up with a lot of !@#$, and only quit when things had gotten to the point that I think that anyone might have broken. Despite road bumps here and there, I think he remains a consistently positive influence on my time as a roleplayer here, and I think he deserves some credit for that. He stuck to his guns, and I have to respect that by nominating him for this category.

Funniest Player - KaiserMelech and/or Tidybowlman - Both of you have me in stitches in real life sometimes with some of the crazy statements you make, and I can't pick one or the other, you both deserve a nomination for this category, you're consistent hilarity (when you're on IRC) makes #cnrp a pleasure to follow a lot of the time.

Most Controversial Player (IC) - Rotavele - Created lots of intrigue left and right through her time in CNRP, she wanted to play differently from the mainstream, and did so, I think she deserves some recognition for that. She stirred things up and made things interesting.

Player of the Year - No nomination, I think there could be multiple contenders and winners for this category, and each has their own qualities and faults.

Best Upcoming Player: 2012 - Evangeline Anovilis - This girl is one to watch; active, decisive, and wily, I have a feeling that she is going somewhere. She's stubborn to a "T", and takes initiative and risk, and is likely going to make a name for herself this year.

---

Best Declaration of War - To be honest, I didn't see anything memorable.

Best Wall of Text - Too many to count, not even going to try to nominate something here.

Biggest Controversy (IC) - The Kingdom of Cochin's "invasion" of the Rebel Army's protectorate, precipitating in the coalition against Cochin.

---

To be honest, with these three categories, there were a number of many good role plays out there, undertaken by everyone, therefore, I leave these following nominations blank.

Best Character RP, Arc

Best Character RP, 2+ players

Best Character Development
I nominate TheShammySocialist’s Cajun Federation as Most Influential Nation of North America!

Best Military: Botha/Transvaal (In Game = IC = Real World South Africa)
Best Nation Building: Botha/Transvaal (Transvaal Wiki)
RPBest Economy Building RP: Botha/Transvaal (Transvaal Wiki)
I appreciate the nominations - but I only RPed for the first 40 days of 2011 before writing myself out of existance. Participating in 10%~ of the year is hardly worthwhile of nominations.
