As time went by there had been fewer and fewer diplomatic interactions between Finland and Slavorussia. Both governments had turned to caring for the maintenance of their own domestic politics and neglected their strained relationship. It was clear that the Finnish government was not made happy by Slavorussia’s response to the English base in Finland and a renewed relationship was needed.

Leading the mission to improve relations was Justinian I, Emperor of the Russias and nominally the Grand Duke of Finland. The Tsar’s jet touched down in Finland on a chilly autumn afternoon. He was met by Slavorussian soldiers who were stationed in Finland to defend it in case it is ever attacked. He brought the Foreign Minister and hoped to renew dialogue with the Finnish government
