PresidentDavid
Texas Headquarters of Offense and Defense (THOD) The "OverLord" looked at his big monitor while he drank his morning coffee. Suddenly the automatic camera zoomed into the Louisiana-Gulf region. A beep started; then several more beeps and sirens sounded off as small waves of what seemed to be aircraft took off over the Louisiana territory. Overlord set down his coffee and picked up his phone, "Houston-Bravo this is Overlord. I got about 20 bogeys on my map right now can you verify?" there was a short pause on the other side, "Roger Overlord I see them. Course of action?" Overlord swung his chair over to his key bored, "They aren't threats yet. Get two birds in the air. I'll get some more information." It was later discovered that it was just air craft patrols of the new Gulf Federation. The two F-22s were passed off as a training exercise. PresidentDavid
Above Top Secret THOD (Texas Headquarters of Offense and Defense) A young new intern scratched her head. Her fingernails swiffed through her blond hair as she looked down at a few sheets of data and up to a small monitor in front of her desk. Her name was Alyssa. Alyssa had been recognized her freshman year of collage at UT that she was bright by the former Texas State government. The current National government of Texas interviewed her right after she graduated with the sixth highest grade point average in the country. Although she seemed to be a genius, they did give her the easy job which was helping watch the gulf for any type of sea invasion. The main instruments to look at the gulf were were civilian satellites, which weren't that reliable, and SOSUS technology that is what kept Texas in the loop when it came to what was going on in the Gulf of Mexico. It was particularly good at noticing submerged objects, like submarines, or even ships floating on the water. "Mister Daniels..." she said, looking over to her superior. "Mister Daniels! Come see this!" The man, all in black except for his white button up shirt, marched over. "Can I help you Alyssa?" He looked into her blue eyes which were looking through him. Numbers were flying through her mind. Sure she could look at the monitor and have a more clear picture of what was around Texas waters but instead her mind easily calculated the hundreds of zeros and ones in front of her eyes. "There is a small ship near us. They aren't in our waters..." she closed her eyes and thought harder. Trying to think of the exact longitude and latitude. "They are close but they aren't in our waters." Mr. Daniels took the paper, with words, and rushed it to his manager. His manager then brought it to the Overlord who was having a fun time listening to air traffic controllers argue over sunspot activity. "Overlord we have a small to medium sized ship near Eugene Island in the Gulf. SOSUS picked it up." Overlord looked at the paper and rolled his eyes without letting the manager see. "It's probably the Navy of The Gulf Federation. Our satellites aren't that great but they seem to have some pretty big vessels in their waters." The manager waited for him to continue, "Mister Daniels have they opened fire or a Texas ship?" Daniels shook his head, "Not that we know of. A freighter reported seeing a ship off in the distance in that vicinity, but the ship did nothing to them." Overlord shook his head, "Then why is this important? As far as I am concerned they are keeping everyone else with a standing Navy from harming Texas or GF civilian ships." Overlord raised his voice, "Our Vice President's parents were born in Louisiana you know! These guys ain't our enemies y'all!" OOC: I am sorry if you find these little replies I do annoying. If so I'll stop. It's just fun to reply to the situations

The plutonium device had a fifty kiloton yield, was perched on a platform which jutted just five feet off the ground, with a solid earth embankment all around it to concentrate the blast. At three am, the signal was given. The device was triggered successfully whose explosion was caught by Military Satellite Communications System Satellite Eagle One which recorded the explosion and radiation levels.
