As the Grand Papuan troops in New Zealand began leaving the islands, a short message was sent to Stettin from the OKR (Oberkommando der Republikswehr, Supreme Command of Republican Defense).

Within the the next 72 hours, Grand Papuan ships would start landing in various southern ports, establishing a light form of order in the region. With the government of the country in question in hiatus, the measures were taken to ensure that should the final decision be made, the region can be turned immediately into a protectorate. even if that wasn't necessary, it was still a measure needed to keep outside influences from attempting to seep into the empty countryside.

The Southern Cross was under Grand Papuan control, until further notice.
