The coronation took place at two o'clock, in the main building of the castle, with spectators of the local area, future politicians, and nobility watching on. Franz swore his undying loyalty to the Reich and People of Danzig, and was presented with the Imperial crown at three o'clock. [i]"I rule for the people, and for the Reich."[/i] declared Franz as the Imperial crown was placed on his head by a randomly chosen spectator. Very similar to King Alaric I of Kurland's day of coronation, with the placing of the crown on the head of the future Monarch by a citizen. And so, the Imperial Crown was placed upon the Kaiser's head by an eighty year old woman named Samantha Heinz. The moment represented a old and wise citizen born of this land many years before the Danzig Reich was created, passing her knowledge to the Kaiser and her blessing, and the blessing of past generations onto the Kaiser. Once the Imperial crown touched his head, Franz was now officially know as Kasier Franz von Pommern. The DRPF (Danzig Reich Police Force) will over time, have stations built in every major town and city nationwide. Their responsibility is to protect the citizens of the Reich against crime (domestic and organized), drugs, civil unrest, and other matters involved with breaking the law, or causing harm to the average citizen. It is to be known as the '[i]Freikorps[/i]'. The Kaiser has invested a considerable amount of money into this new military organization, and has appointed Albrecht Herrmann, a experienced veteran of the German Wehrmacht, as Generalfeldmarschall of the Freikorps. Recruitment stations have been improvised in many towns and cities throughout the Reich, and recruitment has begun. The [b]Democratic Peoples Party of Danzig[/b] gained 10 seats, while the [b]Danzig Centrist Party[/b] gained 5 seats. The NPD has made a coalition with the DCP, while the Nordicists and Communists have made a deal to support one another in government. The Kaiser has chosen [b][i]Konrad Schmidt[/i][/b] as Chancellor of the Reich. He is a member of the [b]National Party of Danzig[/b]. After long hours of discussion and debate all parties, surprisingly, agreed on this one Anthem unanimously. The Anthem chosen was [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06643umEJZg&NR=1"]Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser[/url]. The reason behind this Anthem being chosen was simply that the Kaiser is held in high regard by all parties, and he is known by all to be founder of this [i]'Grand Nation'[/i]. With all forms processed, the Reich's [b]First National Census[/b] has been completed. The census shows that 7,800,500 citizens reside within the lands of Danzig. The census has provided much needed information to the Government and Police Force. The Government can now plan with great detail the creation of hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure needed by the people to go about their daily lives. He was continuously pacing up and down the hallway of his Inner City apartment, eagerly awaiting the arrival of one of his anonymous agents. Franz wanted to be sure that what he had requested was carried out with the utmost efficiency and secrecy. To Franz, if the deed failed, it would mark the end of his reign. He heard a faint knock on the door of his apartment. A military officer, dressed in the Imperial Uniform of the Reich, slowly got up from his comfortable position and answered the door. On the other side of the door a mysterious man dressed in a simple black suit entered the residence. The officer led him to the Kaiser who was impatiently waiting in the hallway, having stopped pacing once the door had opened. [i]' Well? Have you carried out what I requested?'[/i] asked Franz to the mysterious man before him. [i]'Yes my Kaiser. The threat has been eliminated, just as you requested.'[/i] replied the man. He then gave Franz a file, and left the residence. The young Kaiser opened it and after reading a few lines, his face lit up with joy. [center][b][size="5"][u]Communist Party Removed From Government [/u][/size][/b][/center] [center][img]http://erikbrewer.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/anti_communism.png[/img][/center] Due to the recent absence of many elected DPPD government officials, the Kaiser and the Chancellor have decided to remove the Democratic Peoples Party of Danzig from the Reichstag in order to have the government continue with its work. DPPD seats in the Reichstag have been given to the National Party of Danzig, increasing their number of seats to 30. The Kaiser has expressed his disappoint in the DPPD for not carrying out the required activity needed in government. Chancellor Konrad Schmidt, under pressure from the Nordic Party and foreign nations, has decided to offer members of the DPPD to take up their former representatives seats. A statement was released from the DPPD after Mr. Schmidt's offer, accepting his proposal to take up their former representatives seats. The Kaiser hopes that these new 'Communists' will do their job rather than slack off again. The following has been chosen and put into practice: [b][i]Regional Althing:[/i][/b] Every community has a regular local gathering called a “Regional Althing“. Any citizen can bring a complaint to their Regional Althing, or a matter for discussion. Regional Althing's are given the power to solve any dispute involving inhabitants of the region. The Regional Althing consists of prominent locals know as “Gothi” who have the necessary skills in administration and law. Pomerania is divided into provinces and each province has nine “Gothi” (Chieftains). The Gothi preside over the Regional Althing and mediate disputes. All citizens are welcome to sit and listen to the disputes. [i][b]Provincial Jarl:[/b][/i] Each Province is ruled over by a “Jarl”. The Jarl is appointed or removed by the Regional Althing, and s/he governs over day to day business in the Province. The Jarl has a right to appoint a “Thane” (Baron). The Thane aids the Jarl in the administration of the Province and can be used as the Jarls representative in the Regional Althing. [i][b]High Althing:[/b][/i] The “High Althing” is the Parliament of the Pomeranian Union. Provincial Jarls represent the people of their Province in the High Althing. The High Althing has complete internal and external control of the Unions decision making. Laws can be created or changed in the High Althing, while foreign policies can be decided on.
