The UFE had mobilized its forces at a astounding rate, and were now poised to launch one of the largest offensives in its history. China was finally able to use its ample man power and industrial base now without the use of nuclear weapons to restrict it. If they were to take advantage of the situation, bold action would be needed.

It would start in Australia. The land was filled with natural resources which could be used to sustain the war for global supremacy that was about to be waged. The UFEs achilles heel was raw materials, something which Australia possessed in abundance and was lightly defended against the juggernaut of UFE forces. The path there was somewhat problematic though.

A bold step was determined by the senior staff to be the most prudent. The UFE would seize control of the neutral nation of Sumatra, almost certainly setting off a major international incident. The goal would need to make it a fait accompli before the enemy knew the true extent of what was going on.

General orders were given to begin mobilizing troops against the country.

In the immediate hours prior to the attack data analysts selected targets from, electronic, aerial, and satellite surveillance capabilities that the UFE had been gathering for months. The immediate goals of an initial operation was the destruction of the central defense establishment on the island, cratering of its air fields, destruction of its radar, and off island modern communications capabilities.

The opening phase of the operation would consist mainly of concentrated barrages of highly accurate short range ballistic missiles to overwhelm the islands air defense grid destroying it, much of the air force, and the radar capabilities within 20 minutes of the opening stages. A-47 stealth attack drones would hone in on communication centers aiming to wipe them out rapidly. At the same time, the government key buildings, along with the defense ministry and general officers head quarters would be struck by high yield thermobaric equipped missiles to maximize the possibility of destruction of those targets.

By forty minutes into the attack, the UFE had deployed six F-1 Air Superiority Squadrons over Sumatra to enforce UFE air dominance. These units would provide cover for the 6 Airborne Divisions to deploy over the island. Each had 12, 000 air borne troops along with multiple combat vehicles configured for airborne landing. Two would drop around the capital to cut it off. The other four would drop into the Southern Mountains of Sumatra to rapidly seize the most difficult part of the expedition.

Artillery would shell across the Malacca straits as hovercrafts would bring three Amphibious Forces Armored Corps (approximately 45, 000 each in strength with 800 armored vehicles) across to attack the defenders head on. These forces would be tasked with rapidly advancing from the beach heads and advancing as far inland as possible through mobility and fire power. Their concentration was the seizure of the lowlands of the Island before any sort of defense could be arrange.

The Islands around Singapore and towards Sumatra would also be emphasized for a simultaneous attack. Airborne cavalry would be tasked with seizing them using Singapore's fortress guns for support in the operation along with the two battleships in the area.

In the South of the Island, UFE combined arms teams of mountain and amphibious specialists were also deployed (approximately 25, 000 total). Using ground effect vehicles to transit around and flank the enemy these units would attempt to secure the Southern region and mountain ridge.

For now the air force and navy were kept on stand by, most of its weapons in range but not yet attacking. With a massive display of force it was hoped that Sumatra's armed forces would surrender ensuring minimal further force would have to be used.

To: The remaining Government of Sumatra
From: Field Marshall Ding, Executor of the United Federation of the East
Subject: Surrender

Body:

Sumatra's reactionary government need not feel the continued blow of our military. We are willing to entertain the surrender of Sumatra in exchange for the following:

1) Ceding of all islands around Singapore
2) Ceding us control of the Malaccan Strait
3) Establishment of a Imperial Resident from the UFE to oversee your government.
4) Sumatra shall cancel all its foreign alliances and sign a supremacied non-aggression pact with the UFE and its allies
5) The UFE may use Sumatran territory for further operations.
6) Sumatra shall demilitarize and accept the UFE as its new guarantor of defense and security.
The Germanian Government had other things in mind. The Althing was notified of this particular piece of news and disregarded its relevance, being instead more preoccupied with the British Isles' future as well as with several sheets and projects having to do with the industrial output of the military sector of Germania. Essentially, stockpiles.

Asia was none of their business, after all...

Unlike the French and Germans, ever since the neutralisation of their nuclear arsenal the United Republic of Akdeniz had been expecting something to happen. After initial reports had come in of the UFE's invasion, it was decided to simply do nothing until there was no other choice. After all, in the game of war the only winning hand was not to play.

The United Republic Military was now on full alert, preparing for the worst. The Air Force and Army would perform routine patrols all across Akdeniz ensuring their safety for the time being. The Navy would be ready as well, performing patrols along the coast and in the med.

The United Republic of Akdeniz was ready for anything, although they hoped the war in Asia would not spill into Europe or Africa.

"Put the nation to DEFCON 2 and start mobilizing the military. We would be idiots to think that UFE's military operations won't spark a world war. I mean, just look at the treaty web!" President Natas ordered.

"Will do. I'm assuming you're going to get the Legislative to boost funding?" Field Marshall George William asked.

"I will try my best." President Natas replied.

I'm assuming you noticed UFE's recent actions. I fear we might be looking at a powerful country who wants to achieve global dominance. It doesn't help the fact that one of UFE's right-handed men is just east of us and considering the fact that it has bowed down to UFE many times before, it would be no surprise it would assist UFE.

Looking at the treaty web, I also fear that a world war is unavoidable.
The Athenian Federation was ready, the Hellenic Forces had seen an unprecedented increase in numbers with speedy construction and reserve units having been activated. Finally the regional guard system had shown to work as upon the hand-over of power millions of new men and women had been added to the list of active soldiers, and this was just the beginning as the training of new recruits was increased to replenish losses suffered in combat. Throughout the nation the call to war was heard and the response was enormous. Volunteers had begun working in the factories and the wealthy invested a lot in war bonds. This all was promoted by the media's very pro-war stance. It was almost like the nation at large had come to the conclusion that a change was needed in the world.

Only half an hour after the first operations against Sumatra all networks would turn to one single broadcast. In front of a large Athenian flag surrounded by generals and admirals the Eastern Empress stood on the flight deck of the HNS Athena, the flagship of the Atlantic Fleet and currently off the coast of Portugal.

"My people,

I speak to you today from one of the greatest achievements of our nation. For years ships like the Athena, formations like the First Army and squadrons like Black Death have defended the sovereignty and independence of our state. Today they stand with their brothers and sisters. Hundreds of ships, millions of soldiers and thousands of aircraft are tasked with the heaviest of duties. Spreading our great ideals and desires abroad. In this we will all support them, it is time the world turned red."

The broadcast would make place for patriotic songs while the Empress went back to Athens. While not maintaining an overly agressive posture five hundred thousand additional soldiers were deployed in North Italy, most of them would be placed near the long border it shared in the north with such states as the Angevin Monarchy and Switzerland. The remaining force would be spread out over the different territories and bases in the Athenian Federation however there was a strong focus on Europe. A part of the Atlantic Fleet would begin moving to the North Atlantic and North Sea while UCAV patrols along all borders were increased.

The unexpected and massive UFE strike crippled the retaliatory ability of the Sumatran Defense Forces, effectively rendering an organized and conventional counter attack nigh impossible. President Sukarno saw no other choice. In private to his defense minister, he relayed the order:
Private

To: Director of the Department of Defense Johannes Hendriks
From: President Sukarno

Message:

UFE Invasion of the island emminent. Do not mount conventional counter-attack. Evacuate all military facilities. Prepare for asymmetrical warfare. Utilize Contingency Plan: Ourang Medan, conduct insurgency and guerilla warfare operations. Do not yet engage UFE forces. I repeat, do not yet engage UFE forces.
The massive invasion of the UFE would be virtually uncontested. As their forces crossed the straits and began landing, those troops who were not killed in the initial barrage retreated to the jungles and mountains of the interior, stripping themselves of their identification as members of the SDF.

Indeed, UFE strikes were highly effective at neutralizing military installations such as communications and radar. Although strikes against airfields were redundant, the SDF had not yet formalized an air force, and airfields hit were largely Minilla Island(that was the nation before me?) relics housing training aircraft and non-combat staff for the development of air forces.

President Sukarno chose to make no statement in the affirmative or negative to the surrender terms, yet.

In the South, the UFE would find a surprise. The Communist government of the province seemed more than willing to accept and appease UFE rule. Provincial governor of Southern Sumatra Garang Urah would send a message extending an olive branch to the UFE forces:
In Southern Sumatra, you will find an ally. We have struggled politically against the shameless and weak libertarian ideology gripping our nation. The provincial militia stands at 30,000 strong and are loyal to the Party. We will rise against the lost of this nation to claim it for the worldwide Revolution, and I promise you that you will find our foreign policy agreeable to your aims.
The last act of Sukarno before his evacuation of Medan was to record a message to Sumatra's allies and the world. At this point communications were down, but the tape was passed to a civilian postal company, which would rush the package to the western side of the island. It would be sent to the OU protectorate to be broadcast to the international community as soon as it arrived.

The UFE could not be defeated in Sumatra by conventional ground tactics, the SDF was not prepared for that, anyway. This island was their home, however, and they would play their game on their home turf. Slowly bleed the beast to slow it down.

OOC:

Total standing forces for Sumatran Army: 32,370

Total Standing for Communists: 30,000

I will use all of my conscripts for the insurgency: 74,220

Tanks to Communists: 442

So my total sides:

Sumatran Insurgency: 106,590 soldiers

Communist Appeasers: 30,000 soldiers, 442 tanks

With reports of the UFE invasion reaching the West African Military Supreme High Command, the West African Military had mobilised with orders being issued to begin hostilities in support of the UFE immediately.

The West African Republic was now at war. Although for now the most military activity would be by the West African Air Force and West African Navy mounting patrols in the Gulf of Guinea.

With UFE forces overrunning the urban areas more quickly than initially anticipated the operation was now deemed largely a success with most of the major cities being overrun within two days.

In the air, the UFE air force pounded troop movements as they fled into the countryside of the surrounding areas. A-47 Drones became the primary tool of this campaign, though the older MQ-9 Reaper was also used. These slow flying stealthy aircraft would keep the skies of the island filled with the ever present sound of danger. Using the electro-optical scopes they would conduct an intense surgical campaign to degrade enemy units as they fled into the country side, looking for tell tale signs of weaponry and other things which were hard to hide in moving.

The UFE would quickly take control of the air fields, getting to work on repairing them for service in a anti-insurgency kill and capture program. Four helicopter special operations battalions, three drone special operations battalions, and two full airborne ranger brigades would be stationed throughout the island for a special rapid reaction force. This force would be tasked with using drone power to do electronic and signals interception work and engage in identifying and killing government leaders unaccounted for. Additionally the airborne rangers would be used for conducting night time raids on various villages where insurgency forces could be operating. Their goal would be the capturing of insurgent leaders in surprise raids. Beyond this cash rewards would be given to those who would assist in turning in insurgents.

Most importantly, the four divisions kept in the mountains would be held in place to occupy them, and keep the retreating nationalist forces concentrated in the low areas where the UFE could use air power and mobile armored vehicles to overwhelm them in any fights.

We are willing to meet with your leaders and discuss establishing your independence as well as arming and training your militia. In exchange we request you join the war on our side.
Four Hundred Nautical Miles East of Perth

April 10, 2039

The UFE Carriers Prince Gong and Deng Xiaoping had been moving in a zig zag through the Indian Ocean to evade the detection of satellites. They were now moving into position to strike at the capital of Western Australia. Accompanying the two carriers were 8 guided frigates, three battleships, four cruisers, six destroyers, two guided missile submarines, eight attack submarines, and four helicopter carriers carrying a full amphibious division. Additionally sixteen transport carrying two combined arms divisions were also with the fleet, ready to land as soon as the carrier air wing and amphibious forces took control of Perth.

Admiral Nguyen stared at his watch from the bridge of the massive Deng Xiaoping. "The Bombers should be over their targets soon." he said.

Captain Chen nodded, "Yes sir." his eyes gazing towards the phone. It rang suddenly. Picking it up the captain listened for a second, "Acknowledged." he said hanging it up. His eyes turned towards the Admiral.

"Its beginning..."

What was beginning was the strategic bomber wing of B-9 stealth bombers launching an attack against the Western Australian Radar and Air Defense grid. 72 of the stealth bombers had been deployed flying at maximum efficiency to avoid any chance of detection. Using their sensitive passive sensors they were careful to avoid radar sweeps while acquiring targets. At about 800 nmi from their targets, the stealth bombers had unleashed a massive wave of hypersonic cruise missiles, aiming to hit radar installations first, quickly followed by air fields around the area.

The naval task force was now set to begin its own bombardment. F-2 fighters were scrambled, 36 total equipped with anti-radiational missiles to finish off surviving air defenses, while 24 F-1s were dispatched to provide air cover and sweep the skies of enemy fighters. This action would be supported by four AWAC skyhawk drones, as well as three designated battlefield control skyhawk drones with their radars optimized to detect ground rather than air borne targets. These units would feed enemy mobilization back to the fleet, surface ships would strike at enemy forces mobilizing with their ship based cruise missiles.

The Australian Navy was quite small, but it could pose a potential problem. A forward phalanx of 24 A-47 drones optimized to carry anti-ship and anti-radiational missiles were deployed, while the Zheng He Class Amphibious Command Ship in the group concentrated its powerful forward battery of radar to scan for the Aussies. Additionally four more skyhawks would be forward deployed with this force for early missile detection so that defense against anti-shipping missiles which were still operational after destruction of enemy radar could be countered.

Amphibious units meanwhile began to load up onto their helicopters, waiting for clearance from HQ. One dedicated electronic jamming helicopter and one support gunship would escort every three heavy lift helicopters once they took off for Perth. The initial landing was expected to be the trickiest, but with the major headquarters of Southern Australia gone, a full scale invasion could begin relatively unopposed till they go much further east.

Did UFE even communicate with Australia, such as sending a simple message requesting permission to send in a task force to retrieve the criminals? Or did they simply assume Australia wouldn't cooperate and went for the most drastic action?"

It was clear all of Africa would not be against the agressivness of the UFE. The following few days would determine so much with regards to who was remaining loyal to who and who would be breaking bonds of friendship.

For the time being, Akdeniz would wait. Why reveal your intentions at such an early stage when you're not being threatened. After all, you might not live to regret it in the current climate.

*** Classified ***

Somewhere in the Mediterranean, not too far from Akdeniz waters, two Astute class submarines had stumbled upon what seemed to be a relic floating on the waters. It was unacompanied, which was strange to say the least. The commanding oficer sent a message to Naval Ops HQ.

...VESSEL DISCOVERED...IOWA CLASS...VISUAL CONFIRMS HMS SOCHIMA...POSSIBLE TARGET...REQUEST ORDERS...

The following reply was sent back.

...TAIL SILENT...INCURSION CONSIDERED DOW...PERMISSION TO SINK UPON INCURSION...

Their orders were clear. Should the vessel enter Akdeniz waters, it's journey would end at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. To ensure there would be no-one unnaware of the consequences, a public statement was released.

*** Public ***

"From this point forth the territorial waters of the United Republic of Akdeniz and it's EEZ, which varies between the shore and up to 200km, are hereby closed to all non-allied vessels. Any ships of war found to enter our waters will be attacked without warning, consider this to be the only one you shall receive. We consider any incursion to be a formal declaration of war upon us and approporiate measures shall be taken. Any merchant ships will be boarded and taken to a port along the Akdeniz shoreline and the crew will go through deportation procedures at once."

A Broadcast from the President of Selenarctos:

As of today, the United Federation of the East has committed acts of unprovoked aggression against our fellow Oceanic Allies in Sumatra and Australia. In Sumatra, without forewarning and without providing a rational explanation explanation for why, the United Federation of the East has launched an all-out invasion to decimate the Sumatran government, demanding an unconditional surrender and creation of a puppet state in its place. In Australia, on obviously fabricated claims of providing a refuge to fugitives and a haven for terrorists, the United Federation of the East has commenced a massive aerial attack against assets of the Australian government.

Let it be known that Selenarctos honors the supremacy clause of the Oceanic Union Pact and stands behind her allies. We will not tolerate unprovoked aggression within the Oceanic Sphere and we will not tolerate hostilities against our allies, even from other allies. The Sino Filipino Mutual Security and Economic Development Treaty is hereby terminated, effective immediately. We shall answer calls for aid by our allies and respond with the full strength of our military and all other means necessary.

The United Federation of the East has 90 days Procinctian Standard Time to cease hostilities against Oceanic Union member states and withdraw assets from the Oceanic Union region. To the leaders and military of the United Federation of the East: should these terms not be met voluntarily, compliance will be enforced. Thank you.

Classified:

By the order of the President, the Selenarctos-UFE fiber link has been shut off. UFE access to Selenarctos radar, satellites, and other surveillance methods has been revoked. Selenarctan waters and airspace are closed to military vessels of the UFE until further notice.

OOC: Prearranged, I won't be entering the conflict.

Fire erupted in the jungle. Scrambling forces quickly lost cohesion and men had only the goal of returning to their homes. Casualties were sustained, but many were able to escape. No guerilla camps were being established, no bases of operations. Soldiers simply stripping down and returning to their homes. The time would come.

In the South, the Communist party began its march. Securing their province as the new capital, they poised themselves to take control. Governor Garang Urah sent a reply to the UFE:
We accept. Our forces will accept aid and training, in return joining your forces as an ally. We have secured the province fully and welcome the UFE to use our southern ports to launch military operations.
Meanwhile, Sukarno's package would reach its destination in Jakarta. Sukarno, now dead as a result of UFE hunter-killer operations, would make one final address, posthumously. From a privatized, independent broadcast center, the message would broadcast to the world.
Leaders and citizens of the world, I come before you today in the gravest of circumstances. Earlier this morning, the United Federation of the East launched an invasion of overwhelming force against our small republic, destroying our ability to effectively counter-attack.

This does not come with a justification, a rationale for war. They demand ownership of our territorial waters, the capitulation of our republic, and appeasement of their goals. They seek to destroy our way of life and conscript us as a slave soldier in their bid for political dominance of the world. Just like the Romans, they would attempt to subjugate a people to fuel their corrupt empire, but like the Germanic tribes, we will not fade from the pages of history. We will resist this empire of much greater power til the end of our lives.

I call upon the nations to form a Coalition of the Free World to combat the powers of unjust dominance and hegemony. Now is a pivotal time in history. If those nations who consider themselves free do not act now to halt this beast of oppression, the scales will tilt in its favor, tilt to the side of the slave chains and furnaces of war.

I implore you not for my sake, but for each of yours, and for the citizens of the world. Will we enter into another age of darkness, slide backward into the drudges of the past? Or will we stand together to end this threat and continue forward to a more peaceful world? Perhaps we must sacrifice that principle to ensure it lives in the future, but it is our only chance. You must act now, and we must act together.

"What the hell are these Kinaidese doing?" - Was General Reuter's first reaction when receiving the reports of the Athenian movements, while he fumed tobacco from a pipe - a fairly rare thing to see in Germania. The veteran, in charge of the defence of the Southern Sector, quickly reached Berlin to have a discussion with the leadership there.

There was a MDP with Athens after all, it would be foolish to escalate things, his petition to reinforce the Southern Border was denied, in fact, he was told to refrain from moving his troops so as to safeguard the region, he was merely allowed to adopt a Minor Alert status, which was actually countrywide as things seemed to get more intersting in the world.

He refused to accept his orders, for the Witches' Runes adviced him to do so, and warned him of impending danger. Therefore, he assembled his snipers, and had thirty of them scatter throughout the border area, equipped with the latest stealth suites of course. A few other operatives, in civilian clothing, decided that it might be a reasonable idea to plant a number of Landmines and Automatic Turrets at semi-random in the region, but this was not done at a large scale anyway. The Southern Garrisons remained however peacefully stationed in their region, many of them veterans of Haas' war, already familiarized with the southern neighbors.

"These people KNOW we protect Switzerland don't they?" - Asked a less than polite Reuter to Berlin. The reply appeared to be satisfactory. "Yes, we have made sure, we had announced it. They're not one of those alzheimer-led nations that forget that sort of thing."

"Good. But this still is no good, them Ravens are restless I tell you that." - He was a better fighter than he was a speaker.

Midwest Republic National News broadcast:

The Legislative have passed the "Buildup Act of 2039" by 75 to 20, two abstained and three were absent. The act set the country to DEFCON 3 until war is declared, mandated light peacetime conscription based on birthdays, boosted the military's annual budget by 400% and gave it an immediate extra $70 billion. Large protests have erupted throughout the country and many of the protestors demanded the country to stay neutral and stop the conscription. President Natas has warned that UFE's recent actions may spark a world war, citing the complex treaty web and the fact that both sides have allies connected with treaties.

The world was on the brink of a global war. The UFE had begun offensive operations in the Pacific and Athens were preparing for other operations. With the attention of it's allies turned elsewhere, that left the Continental Empire of Dalmatia as the sole nation devoted to the European Theatre, to hold off German aggression. Knowing this, Emperor Visari ordered the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces Xicr Nist to mobilize the entire military and place it on a offensive mode.

First the Athenians, now the Dalmatians were up to something.

But the overlods of Germania refused to believe that anything unusual could be going on. After all, Dalmatia had gone out of its way to help them just earlier. After all, they had other things to be concerned with, such as the usual "cochinese" troubles and border skirmishes. Why would they ever attack? It made no sense.

Besides, most of the people in Germania were at this time busy with the campaigns, for ellections would take place in some days. The Lords were not in their chambers but around the country, trying to secure votes. All affiliations from Trotscum Communists all the way to Visarists and everything conceiveable in between, including good old Martencists of course, were trying to get a chunk of power.

There were a number of reports that among the Slavic Border, more troops seemed to be arriving. This was dismissed as unimportant, they were probably going to stabilize Bohemia, which had recently fallen into anarchy anyway. No wonder, considering how harsh their government had been. The Berlin Leaders may love the Dalmatians, but the actual population didn't like them very much.

The Eastern and Central Regional Generals requested that Berlin finds out more about the latest movements, and asked for some battlegroups to be moved so as to roughly match the Dalmatian deployments. The petitions are outright ignored.

The Angevins remained blissfully unaware anything negative was about to happen to them. The Athenians redeployed.. so what? They were treaty partners. Couldn't be anything bad right? The bulk of their defense forces remained on the Atlantic and the English Channel fronts. Central Europe was friendly to it.. or so it thought.

Meanwhile, Sukarno's package would reach its destination in Jakarta. Sukarno, now dead as a result of UFE hunter-killer operations, would make one final address, posthumously. From a privatized, independent broadcast center, the message would broadcast to the world.

With the rebels seemingly mostly supressed, regular elite forces were switched out with the 11th Garrison Army of 250, 000 who would occupy the island, combined with 7500 special operations forces who would continue the kill and capture campaign.

The time was now to strike the enemy in the North an inflict a strategic defeat on the Noverians.

The Noverians were viewed with particular disdain by the United Federation of the East for their actions in regards to the Pacific North West, now they would be made to pay for their misdeeds. To add to this, Noveria was vulnerable now, intel had indicated it had experienced severe electro-magnetic disturbances which meant it would be unlikely to organize a proper defense. With Noveria brought under Federation Domination, the North American continent could not hope to withstand the combined might of the Federation and its allied forces.

Amassed in Hawaii and Fort Beihai, the Western Air Army would be tasked with launching the initial offensive against Noveria. Sixty B-11s amassed in Hawaii along with 12 B-10s, and twenty four F-3s along with twenty four F-1s in Fort Beihai would begin the initial strike to destroy as much of Noveria's capability early on as possible. This force would be backed by the deployment of 48 Talon hypersonic strategic packages.

The initial assault would begin on April 11th, at 5:30 AM. The 48 Talons would be launched from Fort Beihai accelerating to Mach 16 in the upper atmosphere before barrelling in on their targets with thermobaric warheads. These targets would be the command and control centers for the Noverian Armed Forces, their radar bases, the capitol building, and major air bases. This attacks goal would be to completely cripple the Noverian response capability.

At 5:32 the remaining radars would detect swarms of missiles coming from the Pacific, B-11s operating outside radar range unleashed a strike of 1200 hypersonic ER-M-51s aimed at neutering Noveria within minutes. These targeted the Navy, the Air Force, Army Supply Depots, oil sand refineries, and suspected bunkers, as well as the residences of most of the major leaders of the government. B-10s would then use their speed to penetrate the air space of Noveria simultanously. Six of them would concentrate on destroying Noveria's remaining air bases, while the other six would launch a strike against the front line force guarding the Noverian Protectorate border with Alaska, hitting major areas of troop concentrations with area effect weaponry.

F-1s would then move into the skies over Noveria supported by Skyhawk Drones. The units would be tasked with waiting out the Noverians, darying them to deploy their air force. Supported in this mission, F-3 interceptors operating in radar blacked out areas would themselves be waiting for the Noverians to deploy AWAC assets or Bombers, which would be easy pickings.

On the Ground, the UFEs North American Army launched a massive offensive across the border. Two corps of 40, 000 regulars organized into armored and armored cavalry would pour in attacking the Noverian positions aiming to encircle them while the conscript forces of around 250, 000 would be deployed to cover the advance of the elite armored forces.

At the same time the Amphibious Forces deployed five airborne Arctic divisions to seize control of major Islands Chichagoff Island, Baranoff Island, the surrounding smaller Islands would all be dropped onto. These forces would get their air support from the deployment of the PLN Xia and PLN Han and the two battleships surface action groups approximately 400 kilometers West of their. Also in theatre was the Mao Zedong CVN 1000 kilometers North of Hawaii.

At Fort Beihai analysts poured over the results of the strike, as a second invasion force was being prepared to strike against the Vancouver area itself.

April 7, 2039

Three days after the original speech the forces came into position, news had reached Imperial Command of the Dalmatian plans and they were just the right plans at the right time for the Athenian plan to kick into action. The HNS Athena, HNS Artemis and HNS Ares had positioned themselves between Iceland and Norway, the three carriers would be escorted by six destroyers, eight frigates, three battleships and ten attack submarines. To minimize the danger the fleet was in the ships would remain at proper distances to avoid a single strike being able to take down a larger force. In addition where there was the possibility ships would use anti-satellite lasers to blind satellites that moved over them and as such decrease the risk of other nations knowing exactly how large the force was. Until now the fleet had maintained position to minimize the threat perceived however this would change. From Imperial Command orders were issued to prepare for combat against the Norwegian coast. The carriers would take their aircraft to the highest alert level and U-2As were placed in the air 24/7 to add live surveillance to satellite feeds. Using intelligence acquired from observation ships would determine the most ideal locations for missile strikes.

In Milan similar preparations would be made, while a large amount of satellites were already focused on Europe the amount on Kurland would receive another increase. Just like Norway Athens had obtained a great interest in Kurland and considered it a party that needed neutralizing. The B-10s and B-11s at HAFB Milan were fueled and prepared for combat operations. Using satellite intelligence they would determine the primary targets. However for now all these plans would remain at preparation, one final development was needed for the Athenian warmachine to be put in action.

---

On the ground another development would occur, the borders had already been strengthened however one final action would be taken to be ready for any potential actions. All border posts with the French countries and Switzerland were closed, while less strict the same happened along the border with Monaco-Valencia in both Spain and France. Only the land borders with Austria-Hungary, Dalmatia and Rebel Army would stay open. In addition to that ships and aircraft from French, Scandinavian, Brittish countries(except Ireland), Monaco-Valencia and Germany would be denied access to Athenian harbors and airports. The CSS would very closely watch people from said nations in the Athenian Federation.
International Announcement from the Ministry of Health

Due to safety concerns the Hellenic Forces under order of the Ministry of Health has completely closed off border on land, sea and air with a chain of nations. This decision has been made due to information about a health risk. We apologize for any issues experienced as a result however will maintain the measures until a final investigation can either confirm or deny the health risk. Housing and financial compensation where required will be provided for all citizens of affected countries in need.
