"Sir the Angevin King is here." said the kings royal advisor.
"Good, i will go meet them." Replied Koda.
As he walked towards the palace entrance he thought about what this meeting would entail. As he got closer to the door he put his thoughts aside and put on a regal act. He would need to be on his best when he did things like this.
"Welcome King Geoffery de'Plantagenet and Queen Chistine de'Plantagenet to my royal palace. Please come so we can talk. I understand that you may be hungry and refreshments will be served." He said as he walked though the doors once they came into sight.

"You may call us Geoffrey and Christine, really, to us the titles are just roles we fill for our people. The formality merely that. Thank you for welcoming us into your home and we look forward to see what you have on your menu." Geoffrey nodded slightly in thanks.

Christine smiled in agreement, "I actually very much dislike the formality. It makes people feel.. even too distant for my tastes. It's a pleasure to meet you in person."

"It is a pleasure to also meet you Christine. Also Geoffrey We can eat while we talk please follow me." He said before motioning towards the door and walking slightly towards it. The inside reception area of the palace was a large open area filled expensive tapestry and pieces of art. There was no furniture inside of this area other than a few chairs.

"Why thank you they were my fathers" he said as they continued walking. They walked though another doorway then into another large hall. This hall had a grand view of Paris. "Not much father" he said as he opened another door at the end of the hallway. They entered yet another room this one however was large. It had a fireplace on the opposite side, this fire place was lit sending a orange glow and a slight crackle as the wood burned around the room. There was a table in this room, it was a simple wooden table that had no specific identifying features. Above the table on the roof was a half completed art project it was a deception of the Koda during his coronation, this side was completed but another side which would show another picture of his choosing was not. Once they reached the table he offered them chairs two directly across from the one he took.

They sat quietly. Christine broke the silence, "I like this setup. No ministers.. no guards. Quite peaceful."

Geoffrey relaxed in his seat as well, "You are a very gracious host." He smiled to the King. "Perhaps the most comfortable room I've ever held negotiations in. It speaks to your tastes."

"Why thank you, i only want the best for my guest." he said before pressing a concealed button. Upon pressing the button a door opened and men with dishes poured though. As the waiters came in they dressed the table in a plain table cloth. After this was done they put a wide display of foods on the table, on one side only cold food including salad. On the other hot food. The food was a mixture of traditional french dishes and included almost everything one could want. They also poured pitchers of Lemonade, Water, Ice tea, and Fruit punch. A waiter also said that other beverages were available upon request.
"The Refreshments i mentioned." The king said with a smile before grabbing himself some lemonade.
"Now we eat, later we can get do the diplomacy stuff. We are all children of France. Enjoy!" He said before taking his first sip.

Catherine and Geoffrey had rarely been delighted to be the guests of other heads of state, but at the very least, Fitzroy knew how to entertain. Christine requested some fruit punch and Geoffrey opted for lemonade. He didn't prefer to drink champagnes or wines before discussing the affairs of state. Much rather have a clear head. Geoffrey and Christine raised their glasses to Fitzroy, "To the children of France indeed." Geoffrey smiled.

Christine and Geoffrey quietly ate their meal with Koda, occasionally commenting on the finer dishes. Christine favored Salad, Geoffrey favored the meats. All in all, thus far it had been quite pleasant.

As they finished there meal and Koda believed them sufficiently enjoying themselves from there comments he spoke.
"I'm glad that you enjoy yourself. I hope i am not intruding on anything else you must attend to. If i am then we can get to talks now or enjoy ourselves for awhile more." he said before washing down his last fork full

Geoffrey's and Koda's Minister of foreign affairs walked in. "M'lords, I think we have a breakthrough which we believe the two of you can find agreeable betwixt our states. It took some long negotiations, but we have concluded this is best for all of France." They presented the proposed treaty document for signatures. "It is now up to the two of you."

Geoffrey read the articles from the copy he was given and nodded satisfactorily. "What say you Fitzroy of Bourbon?"

"No acting my friend, we are brothers at heart and may this family never part again. A toast to France." He raised his glass after signing the treaty.

Once the toast was done he observes, "I should call Paul, let him know about this.. see if he wants in."

The Ministers left the room. Across the Angevin Monarchy, the flag of the French Union is raised so that it flies under the flag of the Angevin Monarchy.

"Also, Koda, I am thinking of heading to Monaco-Valencia after this meeting if I can get in to see Albert II after you. Do you have an interest in flying out with us?" He inquired.

Geoffrey and Christine looked at the military review and smiled, "Such brave men and women willing to fight for such a young country. They have invested a lot of faith in you Koda. I'll do my best to help assure that faith is not ill placed."

## Meanwhile in another room... ##

Joan Clemenceau placed a call to Paul II in Monaco Valencia.

Joan came quietly back to the balcony a few moments later waving to the crowds and spoke to the royalty gathered there. "Your Highness-es, the government of Monaco-Valencia has agreed to meet with us." She took in the sight surrounding them, "This truly is beautiful. I hate to interrupt the festivities, but the world waits for no person. We should depart promptly."

King Geoffrey would nod in agreement and look to Koda, "I thank you much for your kind hosting and hate to leave it, but our affairs demand we depart. Are you ready to leave?"
