In the Pit Bull's Backyard

It had been several months since the English leased land in Porkkala to use as an RAF Base in Porkkala Finland. During the era of the Anglo-Russian alliance Slavorussia’s military commanders did not view the base was a threat. That all changed however, after the British government began making aggressive moves toward Slavorussia and its allies. When the British leaders started to show their true colors military intelligence satellites began monitoring the base. They found evidence of long range strategic bombers presumably on reserve to attack Slavorussia’s heartland. The threat of English aggression now had to be dealt with.

Military forces in southern Finland began secret mobilizations on the eve of Prime Minister Putin’s scheduled meeting with England’s Foreign Minister. Shortly after wake-up call Slavorussian soldiers under command of Major Alexei Sergeievich Lisov received their orders; if the English refused to evacuate the base in a timely manner then the army would surround the base and force the English out of Finland.

“So what if the English refuse?” Alexei gazed at the columns of troop transports lining up inside the base “Does the General Staff have a plan?”

The old, cadaverous general leaned removed his cap and ran his wrinkled hand through his thinning white hair. “If England doesn’t respond to reason then they’ll respond to force. General Menshikov and General Gulyas agreed that you’re the best person for the job. Your regiment will need to be ready to move on short notice can you handle that?”

“Certainly.”

“You might be ordered to storm the base, but I must stress, do nothing until the Prime Minister orders it. If everything goes as planned your boys won’t have to lift a finger, understand?”

“Da, General.”

“Make your country proud, Major.”

Putting his hat back on the General saluted Alexei as Alexei did the same. The two men parted ways just as a fleet of transport helicopters arrive.
----------

The next day negotiations are not going as planned. Prime Minister Putin and General Gulyas attempt to convince England’s Prime Minister that the situation can only end one way, but England seems determined to maintain its foothold in Slavorussia’s backyard. Technicians at the Lieto AFB fuel Su-35 fighters and Tu-22 bombers and prepare them to take off if they’re needed.

Later a dispatch goes out to the Finnish government to request that they halt all civilian air traffic over Porkkala.

"Dear Comrade soldiers, sailors and airmen
Comrade officers, admirals and generals
Citizens of the Slavorussian Empire

We are staring down the barrel of a gun. Tonight many of our major cities are under threat from an impending attack by long range bombers owned and operated by the English military. These bombers, based in Porkkala, Finland, have the capability to strike targets in as far inland as Kazan and Kirov. Our Finnish allies were tricked into an unequal deal that put Finnish and Slavorussian homes in the line of fire of an erratic, irrational country.

It is my duty as the head of the government to respond in kind this kind of threat. It is my responsibility to protect the safety of Slavorussian citizens wherever they are and it is a duty I will gladly execute.

All attempts to negotiate have failed. England’s Foreign Minister, John Smith has attempted to use the base as a bargaining chip to force the government to reopen diplomatic channels with the English regime, but we will not be forced to negotiate with a regime which has spat in our face time and time again. As of now all diplomatic relations with the English nation are to cease until such time that we see fit to resume recognition of the English state. They have brought on them the punishment they deserve".

As Vladimir spoke anti aircraft and anti missile systems that dotted Slavorussia’s northern and northwestern regions received orders to be on high alert for English bombers. High speed MiGs scrambled over the skies of southern Finland and Northern Russia as a secondary precaution against English retaliation. Almost 100,000 reserves, including Major Lisov’s regiment, were called to defend the homeland, or if necessary to cross the seas and fight the enemy abroad.

The general staff had dramatically altered the plan to reduce the risk of human life. Following the end of Vladimir’s speech missile platforms in southeastern Finland launched a small volley of thermometric ballistic missiles at Fort Joona in Porkkala with the intent of completely destroying it. It was Vladimir Putin’s hope that the English would back down once it was made clear that he was willing to use force to defend Slavorussian lives.

The Reichswehr had been revamped. It was time to set the deadly mechanism in motion. The soldiers, in their newly-improved Einherjar Class Armors entered the many underwater transports of the Kriegsmarine while the 32 Combat-Able Submarines would escort the invisible fleet. Like snakes in the water, the enormous Germanian force would make its way in silence towards England. The people on board were not briefed about the ongoing situation, because in fact Germanian authorities had yet to decide the course of action. What they did know is that they would place the majority of their forces within striking distance of England.

The country was at second-to-maximum alerness level. Planes were on the air and prowling the North Sea, ready to defend the underwater fleet if it should be detected, the stealth bombers were also there, and in fact, just recently had the new Digital Warfare Systems: Jammers and Redundant Detectors been installed on the airframes. Far away, the Rocketry Experts were dying to test their new designs, Panzer Crews ached to test their new guns out, which was renowned for being a Giant Killer.

The Germanians were still the same, but their equipment and doctrines had been improved. Would it finally get to show on the battlefield? Berlin sent Moscow a brief, encrypted message: "We support you. Standing by for further action pending English and International responses." With any luck, to the outside world, it'd seem that Germania was concerned with protecting itself only.

But the ravens circled England: The Vikings, not far, in Ireland, sharpened their axes and cleaned their gunbarrels...it might be time for a new Danelaw.

Only a few months ago the Athenian Federation signed an Optional Defense Pact with the Slavorussian Empire. We are glad the chance to show our dedication has shown itself so soon. We will back the Slavorussian Empire in any escalation of the conflict with all force available.

---

Elements of the Atlantic Fleet still in the North Atlantic moved to AlertCon Gamma as soldiers in Spain and Portugal mobilized. Dispatches were sent to both Burgundy as the Angevins informing them of the Athenian intent to move forces through their respective territories. F-70s flying from Portugal would loiter near England and be ready to take down any support the English planned to provide for their base in Finland.

As of now I can find no way to dispute what the Slavorussians are saying. They are totally within their right to be doing what they are doing. We would hope that our English neighbors will leave the mainland.
We hope that England does not turn this into a conflict that will bring war to the British Isles - or there will be hell to pay.

With that being written, let everyone know that any unauthorized entrance of USI territorial waters or airspace will not be tolerated and any craft trying to do so will be destroyed. Finally I would like to give everyone a heads up that the air force will get some birds up in the air. This is to insure the National Security of the USI, and is in now way any type of mobilization of the military. We do have slandered procedures to follow to protect our citizens. We wish the world the best of luck and can't stress enough that we hope that either no blood is shed - or it be shed with good reason.

David Anthony O'Reilly

I hope that this can be resolved quickly. God speed.

"Mr. President we are going live in five, four" the man continued to count down. This would be the first speech David would give from the Round Room since the flags had been changed. The other former flags stood behind the current one. Robert suggested that it was to show progress however he thought of it as a reminder to remember ourselves in the past and never to forget our mistakes and what we did right. The red light began to flash on the camera. He was in his favorite suit. It was black, completely, and he had a simple white button up shirt. His tie was light orange and his hair was nearly perfect today. He folded his hands and slightly leaned on the oak desk in front of him,

"Good evening. Fellow Islanders, most of the time I come to you in this room with news that isn't good. News that either terrifies you saddens you. Before I deliver the entire situation to you I would like to say that the United States is not under any threat at all. The jets you hear over your homes are just slandered procedure.
Right now Slavorussia is taking matters into their own hands concerning an English base that they find a threat and under these circumstances we support them. The Athenian Federation and other European Nations are currently taking precautions however this does not mean an all out war will take place.

What I would like to say is that there is a real possibility the Island of Great Britain may come under some type of siege and so that is why all USI civilians in Scotland are being called back to the Western Isles or the Island. All civilian flights heading to England will be cancelled until the conflict is resolved.
I would like to make sure that you all know that the United States is currently in no danger of attack but you will be alerted if anything on the matter arises. Thank you all for inviting me into your homes tonight. I hope that this conflict is resolved quickly and with no blood. God Speed to the soldiers of Slavorussia."

The following statement was issued from Paris, where Geoffrey was currently visiting, when Geoffrey and Koda were informed of the events near the end of their dinner.

The Angevin Monarchy stands by Athens and Slavorussia. We have already informed England that we expected them to return to being a sane and stable neighbor. We had given the new government an opportunity in this regard. If England continues to conflict with Slavorussia, further causing discord in Europe, we will be forced to act to support our allies and to come to an acknowledgement that the sovereigns over England.. even after new elections.. do not meet the competency standards expected by their people and will be forced to.. liberate them from such a problem.

It is unfortunate, but all of our embassy staff is being withdrawn in protest until this matter is resolved.

King Geoffrey Plantegenet IX

It’s come to my attention that I owe Timmy an apology. I didn’t know that there was no such thing as continuity in cnrp. I didn’t know that you succeeded a government and accepted its legacy without first knowing what that legacy was, but what should I do? Should I admit that I’ve made mistakes? Should I remind you that I’ve done this before? Should I go back and stop the bombs from falling on the base? What should I do? Should I admit I wanted to be the aggressive dick for once? Should I have been more patient with Timmy? What should I do? Should I tell you I’m not a role model? Should I stop listening to my Prime Minister? He’s my Prime Minister. Should I be who you want me to be?

Timmy, you should make your post fit into the rp by making it ic. You say I bombed a base without justified cause, I say you were perched in my backyard with a gun pointed into my house. Badabing Badaboom.

ic: Vladimir and the other Ministers celebrated somberly as they watched drone footage of the missiles slamming into Fort Joona. They knew full well that England must respond or become the whipping boy for the international community. Following confirmation that the missiles had hit their target the Chief of the General Staff released a statement. "As of yet there has been non response from the English government. We have not been able to determine the extent of the damage to the base, its equipment or its personnel."

To Moscow: "Do not miss the party at England. We're going to make sure that these guys regret ever crossing your path"

Operation Danelaw

The aircraft were first to arrive. Some thirty Unmanned High Altitude Stealth Drones were there, in the distance, absorbing data in combination with Germanian Satellites in order to identify the English Military Infrastructure. Once that they managed to identify Air Fields, Radar Sites, Detection Arrays, Command Centers, also SAM sites, military bases and depots. Railroads, Missile Launching Facilities, Helipads - pretty much everything. In fact, this data was combined - Germanian Troops had been on English Soil more than once before to defend them from the Celts, so they had first hand knowledge and fairly good detail on the situation. It was a bit like an odd, delayed version of a trojan horse.

A good chunk of the Germanian Rocketry and Missile Arsenal was fired upon England. Some of it was quite old, and had been stacked up for fighting even during the Nordheim, Prussia and Late Nordland times. Most of it was stacked up by Northern Germany, and some by VDL. Cruise missiles were cruise missiles, they would do. Still, the highest priority targets were hit by Germanian Made Next Generation Missiles: Much smarter, much faster, harder to detect, and in fact shot off from "towing" Mjöllnir transport planes - they were more like Drone Kamikaze Planes which just happened to move much faster than a manned vehicle ever could, one might say.

All of the mentioned targets would be hit, but the priorities were Airfields, Radar and other Detection Arrays, Missile Launching Facilities and then SAM/Missile Defence sites. Well, either way, having hit the detection arrays, the missile sites would be blind before what would come next, and right away: Air Superiority Fighters. All of the Luftwaffe was on the air, but it was scattered so as to be able to form with 50% of the forces a protective belt around Germania, and the other 50% would scatter and probe through English Airspace - and above their territorial waters as well. They were Air Superiority fighters, but in spite of that had been suited with a number of smart bombs (HARMs) to be able to hit Air Defences such as SAMs, and opportunistic ground targets. The Heavy Bombers were not far, but Berlin was more cautious about their deployment, they were still above the seas and well escorted, they would occationally join in and hit targets of opportunity when the time was right.

The Air Operations, led by the veteran Air Marshall Feliks von Danzig, were doing well. The next step would be achieving Air Superiority and attacking English Factories.

And to think that this was just the beginning of the air attacks...

While the English Government was unresponsive, the Kriegsmarine had made its way to Southeast England, roughly from Ramsgate to Portsmouth. The commander in charge, Grand Admiral Nehalennia de Vries, ordered first for some 30 fast Skjöld Patrol Boats from far west Germania to quickly cross and scout ahead, to race past the submarines and then by the English Coasts. The English Nightmare was now a reality, black submarines with Germanian banners were emerging from cold, troubled waters. More missiles, this time cruise missiles made in Germania proper, would hit the coasts as a barrages to soften it all up. The Transport Submarines' gates would open and release the endless horde of Germanians upon English Soil. More Skjöld Boats were summoned - Germania had amassed a big, rather redundant amount of those due to their simplicity, and in combination with the other Submarines they would defend the Troop Carriers. The troops would typically avoid urban targets, excepting when it came to small towns, and from some of the submarines Scout Rockets would be launched - simple low-flying rockets with special cameras meant to create maps of the Landing Areas.

Nehalennia spoke, "Good. Have our MOAB ICBMs standing by in case that our troops may need them, and get all of our Skjöld Boats in here, now."

The commander in charge of the Land Operations was Field Marshall Gebivson-Mannelig himself, the most experienced and successful Germanian Commander. Like most of the Commanding Officers appointed, he had actually been to England before to defend it, and had captured Wien. He was known as "Marshall Forwards" due to his relentless tactics.

The divisions deployed were unlike any seen before in Germania, they were no longer either Infantry Divisions or Panzer Divisions. As detailed:

Land Division: 18.144 Soldiers 175 MBTs, 175 Med/Hvy Vehicles, 20 Spies (Special Forces)
+ Additional Brigades 700x2 + 43 Small Aux Vehicles/Logistics Vehicles
National Land Division Total: 40

Of which 30 (Over half a million men) were currently assigned to England in Three Army Groups of 10 Divisions each. Only one Army Group was landing at the moment, the other were kept at a distance to prevent easy clustered kills. These divisions were much more balanced and self-sufficient that those of the old scheme, as they made use of Combined Weaponry since they had more kinds of units cooperating more closely. Two of the divisions out of those would be deployed by air using Mjöllnir Transport Aircraft, escorted of course by fighters, not far from Dover's outskirts.

There was a single message to England: "Capitulate now: We will be lenient."

-----------------------

On board of one of the many Transport Submarines, the Soldiers, their Panzers and other vehicles stood ready, waiting impatiently in the eerily silent metallic, underwater environment. They had learned to love their new, much more resistant - due to nanotechnology - and also cloak-able Einherjar Class Armor. When they heard Gebivson-Mannelig's voice on their communication devices...

Het Wilhelmus, Deutschlandlied, Mellom Bakkar og Berg, Du gamla du fria, Wacht am Rhein and other Nationalist Songs including a few Silver Revolution Songs, started to be heard for background.

"Soldat,

You are about to participate in an operation of historical magnitude. For a long time we have struggled to support the ever fragile, ever unstable English state, risking nuclear annihilation and utter destruction in the process, and in fact even treading on Slavorussian feet sometimes, for the sake of peace, prosperity, and stability. We have tried our best, regretfully, we have made a mistake, and could not stop England from being Europe's latest powerkeg. At first it was religious extremism, then simple expansionism, now, their government is virtually dead, unable to respond for a very long time to the concerns of our Muscovite Allies. This is unacceptable.

It falls upon us to carry on the deadly task required to restore peace. We are commited to peace. We are commited to creating and eventually defending nations like Mecklenburg, Norway, Kurland, and Greater Austria, this is why we cannot turn our backs to the problems of the English, our brothers across the pond. Their people simply want a life of peace and harmony with Europe, their governments - all of them as they quickly change over time only to blunder again - have made this impossible. Our ultimate mission is to wipe out the roots of English Corruption so that a new England, Proud and Self Sufficient may arise. Remember that the English, the Angles and Saxons, come, after all, from Northwest Germania. These people are our kin, this is why we must stop our brothers from insistently cutting themselves for no good reason. We have done this before, in fact. Not only did we found England and liberate it from Celtic Anarchy and Roman Oppression, but also by the hand of the Dukes of Normandy - Vikings, like many of us - our Folk disarmed this timebomb. It was not enough, we also had the Danelaw Period, in which some of our Forefathers attempted to restore law and order, which is what this operation is named after.

This will be a new Glorious Revolution. Just as we did before under William of Orange, now, under the banner of Meritocracy and Ravens, we are crossing and putting an end to this disgraceful situation. The combined power of our many Nations will be the Hammer needed to Iron Out our Peace. NORDENS SÖNER - FRAMAAT! PANZER VORAN! VORAN!

The large gates had opened, the first ships were landing, showing a gray England ahead. Unmanned Recon Vehicles were the very first to go, then Scout Tankettes, and then the whole might of the Reichswehr, from MBTs to SPGs, from Armored Soldiers to Einherjar and Valkyries. And more, more missiles from Iceland this time, carrying only propaganda for the English: That to make the anarchy stop, they should rise against their government, assist the Anglosaxon Troops and appoint someone to speak to Berlin to discuss England's Bright Future.

The Germanian Troops were battle-hardened, well trained, and had received their batches of new technology. There was nothing stopping them, not this time nor ever again.

The Ravens abandoned the Tower of London after one of the Air Superiority planes had shot it up with one of the rockets. Now, England was finally ready to fall so that it may rise again.

...and actual Vikings were prowling, waiting for a chance to raid, too...

Dear Kaiser,

I was wondering if you would be willing to allow us to have Wales and Scotland if we were to support your invasion of England by striking its Western flank, increasing likelihood of swift capitulation and reducing the strain of resources? We understand your likely intent is to re-unite with the primarily Anglo-saxon population in the south east to which we do not entirely object although England has also been a land held by my own ancestors.

What is your thoughts in this regard? We have a deal?

Rodney watched as he saw hundreds of blimps appear on his screen. "Sir sir!!" He nearly fell out of his roll-chair as his supervisor came over, "They just came out of nowhere!" The supervisor sprinted over to a black phone and picked it up, "Overlord it seems that England is under attack. It seems like they just came out of the bloody sky! Permission to bring us down to DEFCON 3?" Overlord put down his hotdog - hot dogs were pretty good - "I'll get in contact with the President. You keep tracking them and tell me if they come into the Irish Sea."

"Mr. President? I'm sorry to bother you but it seems something has come up." Commander Edison was in his room in battle ready uniform, holding a red phone. David rubbed his eyes and stretched, "Hand it over Commander." Edison gave David the red phone, his hand shook from fear, "Mr. President, it seems a full scale attack has been launched on Great Britain. Missile Defense picked up cruise missiles but nothing nuclear hasn't been used yet. We are lowering to DEFCON 3. Overlord is taking care of the military right now - I suggest you wake up your staff and get in the situation room."

By order of the President the DEFCON level had been lowered to two instead of three. God knows what the Germans were planning.
Air raid sirens began going off simultaneously in cities and air force facilities across the entire nation. Men began rushing out of bed and into their jump suits. Many of them ran outside, still dressing as they rushed to their fighters. Forty five more fighters scrambled into the air across the Island and the Western Isles in only thirty minutes. The Coast Guard was put on high alert and began patrolling the Northern Coast of Scotland.
The National Guard and the Army were put on Emergency Standby while the Marines and Special Forces were already battle ready. Civilian air craft were all grounded to clear the skies.

David picked up his secure line and called the German ambassador, although hoping to get through to the man in charge. "I don't know what is going on right now but you just gave my military quite a scare! Has an offensive just been launched on England?"

Public

A message was given from Chief Diplomat Susan O'Neil right as the sun began to rise. Members of the press began flashing their cameras as she quickly stood up to the podium, "It seems something has developed off the coast of England. We can't tell you for sure what is happening at this moment since we are still getting intel however it seems no aggressive moves are being made towards the United States. I'm sorry if the sirens or jets woke any of you up this morning however we need them in the air in case anyone tries pulling a fast one on us. I advise that fishermen take the day off in the Irish Sea and those who fish in the Western Isles try to only do so in the north." An eager news representative raised his hand. Nearly none of them cared about England at this point. Scotland - where many of the people in the Western Isles had descendents was what everyone was worried about.

"Chief O'Neil, do you know anything about Scotland? How are they doing? Are the boys in the Western Isles ready for war?"

Susan rubbed her face. This news reporter was that one that never shut up - the one that asked the questions that aggravated you. "As I said before we are not sure as of this moment however I can promise that we are ready for any attack against the United States. If need be we will be ready to move peace troops into Scotland as soon as possible. Thank you all for your time, I need to get back to work."

OOC: You didn't, however your predecessor did. As you never made a reroll but rather continued the same state you are liable for the actions that happened before you became England.
Ahh, I see. That was something I was unaware of.
Grand Papua has no particular stance on the matter on hand.

OOC: Such is the perils of succeeding without prior information, no?
It would certainly seem so!
OOC: I move that Timmy use this opporunity to wipe the slate clean, and create a new nation in the same location if he indeed still wishes to RP in GB. I also move that Zoot stop complaining about Timmy ruining his legacy (ironic here huh?) once this new state is made.
Agreed, it's about time I made it my own.
You don't owe me an apology, you can't just change your IC stance because I was unaware of what Zoot did. I should have known everything there was to know before I took control. If I had known it was Zoot's actions we were talking about and not my own I probably would have gotten rid of the base, I just thought you were being an ass for no reason so I was being stubborn lol.
OOC: I second that motion
Third!
OOC: Have Timmy RP out the bases destruction, and then if he wants to continue the war he can, or he can surrender and form a new state free of Zoot's legacy. Problem solved, now less !@#$%*ing more doing! Also hail Putin.
It shall be done.
ooc: My last post wasn't sincere at all. I know what to do. Nobody can just ignore something they don't like without dealing with some kind of consequence.

But I wanna ignore it :P Sorry if I sounded a bit of a dick saying I'm going to ignore it, I just love it so much when everyone declared their support against me every time :P
Invasion stuff
Also KM, any chance you wanna retcon? I was hoping for a bit of a planned cold war with Justinian (which would finish with me re-rolling in England as a new state) if he's up for it and you invading me is a bit of a hindrance :P So if you could find it in your heart to stop would be nice :P

IC: The base was utterly destroyed. All souls were lost and all hardware and equipment was beyond repair. A single statement was released from the English government.

"To the nation of Slavorussia, it seems we underestimated your resolve in the removal of our base in Finland. We do not believe this is something we will ever be able to forgive you for. While we say the attack was unprovoked you will most likely say it was due to the "threat" you felt was present in that base. We have no intentions of retaliation however. We are not so foolish enough as to seal our own destruction over something most believe to be our own fault. Nor shall we threaten you, now the base is gone and we have no plans to repair and restore it we believe you have no reason now to fear us. We hereby cut all communications with the nation of Slavorussia. What little diplomacy and trade there is between us is now over, we do not expect to hear from you at any point in the future and you should not expect to hear from us either. As far as we are concerned you no longer exist and we hope you can return the same sentiment to us."

Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of England.

OOC: Replied via PM.

IC:

Dierik Martens and the Althing Lords remained alongside some of the General Staff Members in a bunker somewhere in Frisia. They received the latest reports from all available sources, monitoring the advances on a large, very oldschool-looking Vector Screen. It updated in real time.

On other smaller screens, de Vries, Gebivson-Mannelig and von Danzig's faces were visible as they reported from the "heat" of battle, if such a deadbeat combat could ever be suitable for such an expression. Nehalennia from within the Flagship Polarstern spoke first,

"Our predictions regarding the naval power, or rather, the lack of thereof were accurate, enemy ships are nowhere to be seen but we are still having our Patrol Boats and U-Boots standing by, creating a supply hallway from there to here. We have mobilized 75% of our Naval Resources for this task, although it is currently redundant. We are determined not to be caught by surprise. Our Heavy Submarines have begun using their Ballistic Missile Payload upon the enemy factories - we are destroying all English Industry as we speak in order to prevent them from potentially rushing along new weaponry, plus precipitating their economic collapse. That is all for now."

Feliks speaks next,

"Everything is happening as planned. We have shot over 500 missiles at England, this means that their Radar and Detection arrays should be virtually useless, although we have yet to determine the extent of the damage. We are still shooting new missiles at a smaller rate when our Recon Drones are able to detect anything of military relevance, and in fact we are having them scan the Port Cities too in order to find the English excuse for a navy. Right now we have achieved air superiority and surely have wrecked their airfields, but we all know that not every aircraft requires an airfield for a takeoff so our Richthofens and Irminsuls are being most careful. That being said, the stealth bombers have been prowling like ravens for targets and occationally nail down something interesting like a SAM site or something that could be a depot or military base. We expect a weak, futile English Counterattack but are standing by for the worst possible case scenario - the war is not yet won, after all. The columns of smoke rising from England seem endless."

Finally, Gebivson-Mannelig starts,

"My Leaders, all is going better than planned. The English Government has clumsily spoken to the Russians as far as I know but are running around like headless chickens unable to do anything against our efforts. Because of this, we have managed to transport our roughly 575k Soldiers, without counting the Panzer and Auxiliary elements of the force, and have captured a sizeable strip from Portsmouth to Ramsgate. The last units are landing as we speak, then we will divide in three Army Groups. Army Group Vanir on the west, will head for Oxford to cut off South West England from the rest and then reduce that pocket. Army Group Aesir on the Center, will head north past london and strike deep within England and beyond. On the east, Army Group Orange, containing our elite Valkyrie and Einherjar units will be tasked with bringing London down. Right now, the units are, before moving, scattering in predefined sets of divisions, such a quick movement might entail some danger but we had to do it because remaining tightly packed in a small zone would have exposed us to easy Nuclear Kills. The enemy have wasted their window of opportunity however. Hail."

van den Meer nodded. "Our Victory is inevitable. Thank you, Marshalls and Admiral."
The Germanian Human Tsunami was striking its target.

General Gulyas toured the destruction. The base was annihilated and there were no survivors, just as the English had reported. The smell of burning flesh and jet fuel filled the air. Soldiers stacked charred remains in a pile near the back of the Fort Joona where there was little traffic. “Bozhe moi.” He uttered to himself as he watched the gruesome scene.

He watched as soldiers and researchers carried parts from English aircraft to take them back to Slavorussian research labs. After seeing the carnage first hand he was most surprised by the fact that the English weren’t going to retaliate. He couldn’t decide if it was a brilliant diplomatic move or an embarrassing military failure for the English.

He lowered his head for a somber moment of silence for these fallen foes and left the base for good.

PRIVATE

Jarl Lukas Kane, had called a meeting only moments ago, but already, everyone was present. Smoke from several cigarettes filled the room, much to the annoyance of some. As they gathered, they news networks showed German missiles being launched and soldiers waving goodbye to their families. “And what is the Crown doing, Olaf?” Kane asked the manager of his estate.

“My lord, the king is doing nothing. The Statsminister and cabinet do not wish to get involved. No doubt the other houses are thinking of taking such an opportunity.” Olaf replied, taking another puff of his cigarette.

“Harold. Put out the word, I need 2000 good men, veterans preferably. And enough weapons to equip them and the huscarls. You have 50 million Krone.”

“Yes, sir. I’ll see it done.”

“We also need ships, Harold, to carry us across the North Sea.”

-------------------

Within days they were ready to set sail. Several criminal syndicates could not pass up the business of smuggling arms. They had acquired a wide variety, from AKs to M16s and MP5s. They had also managed to get a hold of RPGs and other light anti-armour weapons. Their ships, were little more than old merchant ships, slightly converted to landing ships for jeeps and supplies. They had the bow of the ship modified into a ramp, which would drop down once the ship had been run aground on the beach. “Sir, we are prepared to set sail.” Harold, captain of the Hird, reported as he approached Kane.

“Good. Give the order to cast off, we sail to Scotland.” As the order was given, the fleet left Oslo harbour.

The Vikings were coming, to spread terror to the isles once more...
