comrade nikonov
Rovaniemi,Lappland. August signals the height of summer warmth in northern Finland's Lapp regions. Hundreds of thousands of Finns travel north to engage in their favorite activities, such as hunting, fishing, and watersports. However, tragedy struck the Finnish nation once again when President Korhonen's own vacation to Lappland went very, very awry. President Korhonen has been pronounced dead today in Rovaniemi Military Hospital after he was airlifted from his private estate, where he suffered a jetski incident that caused fatal brain hemorrhaging. The announcement of his death was made today after the temporary "Ruling Council" had completed plans for a peaceful transition of power. The selected replacement for President Korhonen is to be the Premier of the Finnish Republic, Alfred Schlinn. Schlinn has announced plans for an election as soon as possible, although it will not be known whether he will run for formal election himself. The Finnish nation has been declared to be in a state of mourning until next Monday.
