We will have to respectfully decline this invitation, based on the simple fact that we have better things to do.

Cork, Ireland

The ships of the Cajun Federation aid convoy had been traveling at breakneck speed for almost a week since leaving the port of Havana, having met up with the hospital ship CFNS Mercy and its attendant support ship, Mississippi in the Central North Atlantic. The ships had pushed their engine limits for the voyage, their normal speeds around twenty knots or so, many of the cargo vessels had been able to make as much as thirty knots. After rendezvousing with the aircraft carrier CFS Doiron and its reinforced battlegroup for an extra top-off of fuel, the aid convoy, which was led to Ireland by the Mercy, was able to make Cork only after a week of travel from Havana.

Aboard the Mississippi was Commodore Arthur Cansby, in tactical command of the vessels as they made their voyage to Cork. Although the Mississippi and Mercy were ordered to stay offshore, Cansby transferred his flag to a Naval Auxiliary Roll-on/Roll-off vessel, CFNS Convey using an SH-60 Seahawk Medium Utility Helicopter. The Convey would lead the line of vessels into Cork's Harbor, but his eyes would widen when the watch officers alerted the salty convoy commander to the line of soldiers who stood along the cliffs at the entrance to the harbor.

"Looks like we have an honor guard," remarked Cansby, as he looked through his binoculars. As the RO-RO vessel passed into the harbor, he watched the impressive display continue with the drawing of swords in a stiff and curt manner.

"First impressions are lasting impressions," noted the First Officer of the Convey, and older naval auxiliary junior officer, who volunteered for service from an onshore post for aid convoy duty.

"They are certainly leaving one now, lieutenant, make ready the ship for dock," ordered Cansby, the Convey would be the first ship to dock in Cork, carrying a large amount of transport and construction vehicles that would be useful in the initial unloading.

The Convey would dock with Cansby waiting at the roll-on/roll-off ramp; as per regulations for the aid convoy, he was unarmed and his escort, another old salt who served as a chief petty officer of the vessel, was standing next to him, unarmed. As the ship shuddered, as it bumped against the dock, and lines were secured, the ramp slowly descended after a warning was called by the crew to clear a space for the large ramp that. As it descended it would reveal two uniformed and armed Marines flanking a younger gentleman in informal clothing. Cansby was wearing his service uniform, all khaki with a hat that showed the profile of the CFS Mississippi, its name and hull number surrounding it. He also wore his service ribbons on his chest, as well as a single star on his collar ends; his rank emblems. Cansby would stroll forward with the non-commissioned officer, to meet the man at the bottom of the ramp, offering his hand to the man who was really the President of the United States of the Islands.

"Commodore Cansby, Commanding Officer of Task Force Shillelagh, the Lady Protector and the citizens of the Cajun Federation sends their regards, sir," said Cansby, with a calm and informal attitude.

The two Marines stayed behind with the informally dressed Marines waiting in line to work. The other Marines who had been standing along the coast were silently walking back to their barracks in Cork - just as impressive as they were when they were standing they turned one at a time with no help from anyone.

President O'Reilly stepped forward to the man and shook his hand, "Welcome to the United States Commodore Cansby" said David, "it is a honor to have you step on our soil." David had a soft smile on his face. David wasn't old, not by a young shot. He was about 26, give or take a few months. He had is blond hair always combed and almost always was in a tie and jacket around the public unless in extra-ordinary circumstances - such as this. David was a nice young man and was very caring but had more courage then a young boy getting on a fully grown horse for his first time. David shook the other man's hand and said, "I thank you for your nation's regards. I will apologize upfront for not dressing formally however I, and my Marines, hope to to help give whatever assistance to you and your people need to unload any cargo or help run any operations. On the note of the engineers from the Louisiana National Guard - I would want nothing less then to have them work beside my engineers here in Cork, in Dublin, and the rural areas of this island that will definitely appreciate the wonders they bring.

I will make sure word gets out contact to the Athenian Federation so that your engineers may come and work here with us. As long as they are not armed, I am sure Athens will have no problem with this." Before David ended his limbo of words, something that he usually did and some might call a flaw he pickled one last thing out, "I would also like the thank you and your people on behalf of the people of the Islands and myself for the raw generosity and charity you are providing to my people."

A message was sent to the Athenian Federation of the Engineers that would be coming and that they would be unarmed and, most importantly - to let them through.

"Thank you for receiving us, we have some extra crew members onboard to work as stevedores, but any help we can have while unloading is definitely a bonus," responded Cansby, shaking the younger man's hand firmly. "The engineers from the Cajun Federation will be dispatched as soon as possible, they were standing by for your go-ahead at one of our main Air Force bases. They will land at Dublin as soon as they arrive over Ireland, and then will be ready to assist you in any capacity that they can. The vehicles we unload here will be transited north to them as soon as we can land them here, and the engineers there."

"We in the Cajun Federation feel it is our duty to supply every nation that falls into anarchy or suffers a natural disaster should be seen to with the best care that we can provide. We are in the business of giving providing other people in this world with our signature Southern Comfort, except we bring our hospitality to another person's home."
As soon as the flights were approved, seven aircraft carrying Heavy Construction Engineers from the 225th Engineer Brigade of the Louisiana National Guard took off from Barksdale Air Force Base. Also included in the flights were two aircraft carrying vehicles for the members of the brigade, the aircraft would be supported by refueling aircraft flying from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. They would fly unescorted towards Ireland, maintaining radio contact with all proper authorities enforcing airspace over and around Ireland like any civilian flight. The engineers would be unarmed, and only had basic skills as combat infantry, most of their training going into construction and heavy equipment management.

They would be flown directly to Dublin where they would report to the local United States authorities for new orders, while they set up a local command center for their headquarters unit. They would maintain a direct communications link with Cajun Forces' Central Command at Fort Beausoleil outside Baton Rouge. Heavy equipment unloaded at Cork would be trucked to the unit at Dublin using heavy transportation trailers and trucks. While the contingent from the 225th Engineer Brigade was setting up shop in Dublin, supply flights would maintain a self-sufficiency for the Humanitarian Expeditionary Unit, so that they did not have to rely on local stores for suppliers.

The National Guard was deployed to the border to build the appropriate structures on roads. The small structures that would house the border guards would be moderately equipped for an assault although it wouldn't be believed any problems would come from the North.

A police like force would man the border, not the military.

The people of the world seem to have forgotten that a provisional and autonomous government has been maintained in Ireland even though the higher echelons of the nation have collapsed. We have received various, confirmed reports that the vast majority of the government, public utilities, and country is functioning as normal, albeit with a high level of anxiety given recent events. The fact that Ireland is being partitioned when the people have spoken through the continued operation of a regional government is both unjust and unacceptable.

The Federal Republic of Greenland rejects the claims of all nations, particularly the United States of the Island and Continental Empire of Dalmatia, and asserts that all such claims are nothing more than imperialism under the guise of preventing anarchy so long as a Irish government continues to be in place. We recognize and support the provisional government of Ireland which rules through the will of its people.

In Cork, a group of elected officials, educators and judges met to prepare for the announcement of a new movement. A movement developed for the safety of their home, their island. Foreign governments were meddling in the affairs of their people. James Price, a judge, explained the basis for a new state, one of law, order, education and peace.

A few days later, Price appeared on screen to the people of Cork. The broadcast would be available online and to major new outlets around Europe. The provisional flag of this government, once known as the Four Provinces Flag, draped behind James Price. He wants the Irish people to know he wishes to unite the four provinces under one flag and prevent any part of Ireland from being separated.

"Today, we see the invasion of Ireland and the rising of a government out of Dublin claiming to be the provisional government of Ireland. Both these events are unfortunate occurrences, yet Ireland can push past both these issues. We ask invading forces to cease military operations within Ireland, and to leave our Island. It is not yours to claim protection over; it is not yours to do with as you please. The previous government failed our people, this provisional government is no better than they were before the collapse. The self-called, self-appointed Acting Executive was a part of this failure of a government, why should we trust them now.

Ireland is at a point where it needs law, order and peace. It needs stability in government and in economy. It needs strong leadership to take the reins and bring Ireland back to prominence. Our government cannot survive as it stands; we have already seen it fall. The government let itself collapse without the regard for its people. The provisional government seeking to fill the void is only seeking power. The remnants of the government claiming to speak for the people, only speak for themselves.

We encourage the world to come speak with us, learn about the Irish people, and learn how and why any previous member of the Executive abandoned our people. We encourage the world to open up relations with Ireland, trade with us, work with us, share cultures with us.

Today is a new day for Eire. We are taking our Island back from the government that failed us and the foreign governments seeking to control us. Ireland shall be free from the shackles of power-seeking men. Ireland shall have its chance to be prosperous. Ireland shall be for its people once again.

Ag tosú anois, mo daoine, beidh orainn a bheith saor in aisce."

**In Cork**

Thousands of militia were brought together and being briefed on the plans. Cork was to be defended from all foreign governments and militaries. Simple fortifications were placed at entrance points along the road and militia were placed in key position on top of buildings. Booby traps were set alongside the road in the form of car bombs, propane bombs, door traps and manhole traps. Cork County Hall was fortified with sandbags around all doors and windows. The building was set up as the Command Center for the movement and for the interim government of the new Irish State.

**Classified to Dalmatia and Germany**

Our resistance movement is in need of assistance in the form of weapons, supplies and ammunition against the provisional government claiming power and other foreign governments attempting to assert control over these lands. We also seek diplomatic recognition for our claim over the Island.

## In the palace, private. ##

"Is it me or are there now 4 claimant parties to the isle of Ireland?" Geoffrey looked startled at the news broadcast.

His foreign affairs minister shook his head. "It definitely appears so."

"What a mess."

"Indeed sir. What shall we do?"

"Send Champagne to whomever wins?"

"Sounds like a good idea to me." The minister shrugged.

## Public statement ##

"We hereby withdraw all recognition of claim of any state over Ireland. Current intelligence observations are showing clearly far to many forces vying for control to determine who actually possesses control on the ground.. and quite frankly.. we are not going to involve ourselves in what can only now be described as an international crisis with an indiscernible future. Our allies still have the normal permissions and access as always."

With all the chaos that is occurring as there are two powers dividing up the island and another two local governments attempting to establish themselves, Grand Papua can only stay neutral for the time being until the dust settles.

“Considering the remote nature of this incident, Pacifica has no personal stake in the outcome. That being said we wonder why Grand Papau, a country on the otherside of the world feels the need to offer morale support to a nation they are not allied to, in a region they are not invested in, concerning a people they know nothing about.”

“Who is to say that this provisional government has any right to rule, they do after all derive from a state that has proven itself incompetent and incapable of conducting its duties? Moreover, why should the United States of the Islands be permitted to take control of Ireland, they are practically a third world nation considering their technologically inferiority, and are an extremely young government compared to Dalmatia and the Athens. Criticism can also be offered regarding the latest manifestation of the English state- which has been suffering from stability issues for many years, and in fact has a genocidal history with the Irish people. Simply put Dalmatia is one of the more logical protectors in my mind, and their move to secure Ireland in spite of the USI, and any supposed provisional government is not the behavior of an imperialist, but a responsible humanitarian organization.”

“If my government were to collapse I am confident, in fact I am certain provided the results of recent scientific polling done by my Ministry of State, that my people would prefer the UFE or even Rebel Army as protectors (considering both are incredibly advanced, stable, and experienced nations) to any of the other regional actors that dabble in the Pacific.“ -H.M Michael Atrevier I King of Greater Pacific

Well and by now the Vikings had raided their fair share, but the situation was deteriorating, so they decided that they would rather stop instead. The Raiders depart, but as new Vikings show up they are disilussioned to see that the period of outright anarchy was over, the Irish were no longer easy prey.

Chances come, chances go.

Still, now that they had come from so far away they might just go and make the best of it. Several Viking Chiefs have contacted Cork and even approached it, not to raid but to offer their services as mercenaries and arms dealers.

The recent past of New Guinea has installed a great hatred of fascism, and as such Grand Papua would be opposed to any fascist regimes expanding. Furthermore, we know more about the Irish than people give us credit for, something that nations that are as much of a silent background as our eastern neighbors must likely wouldn't know. Furthermore, the last part of the statement seems to be ignoring the most responsible power within Oceania.

"The generosity with which you throw around the label "Fascist" only serves to contribute to its further deterioration from social science, to adolescent trash talk. How could an empire that manages such a breadth of ethnicities, cultures, and religions have anything in common with a nationalist culturally/ethnically homogeneous regime, ruled by a populist strongman? Moreover I have not heard anything resembling the original Fascism of Mussolini in the rhetoric of the Dalmatian leadership, in either case it seems you have missed the point. None of this has anything to do with the issue at hand, which is who is best fit to oversee the security of the Irish people. A backwards nation like the USI, and a government that has already failed just do not seem up to the task. A stable multi-cultural empire with years of effective administration on the other hand, only a hyper partisan would cast them as unworthy candidates."

"As for our 'silence', you must be mistaken. Pacifica has been nothing but a bee hive of activity. Our allies can attest to regular contact, and any citizen of the realm could testify to continued operations. We have until recently experienced economic troubles, and an exceptionally nasty case of political corruption but I would expect every state suffers similarly from time to time. In either case you will have to forgive me for not taking the ruling authority of Grand Pappau's expertise on the Irish people seriously. Considering you are a close neighbor, if you were not aware of our own internal state and our activities abroad I really cannot imagine you having much knowledge of the Irish or their desires. Of course I would not presume to know much about them either. I can only speak as a fellow human being."

"As for your last point, Selenarctos is indeed an ally and they are a responsible actor in the pacific, they are also a stable longterm power, I am sure the people of my nation would not take issue with their stewardship either. However, it is also important to note that their culture is alien to ours, and they are geographically further from us than Dalmatia is from Ireland. If they represent a worthy candidate as a theoretical defender for Pacifica, then I do not see how Dalmatia would not be as well (in the case of Ireland)." - H.M Michael Atrevier, King of Greater Pacifica

We wish the best for our people and simply wish those who have invaded us and failed us cease their operations and claims. If possible, we will like to seek your assistance in this, in the form of supplies to my movement and humanitarian help for some of the poorest areas in the nation.

Thank you.

The massive air logistics operation would be unmissable for anybody with sufficient satellite coverage as one by one HALOB Transports of HB31 and HB32 regiments landed at Forward Air Base Barra in Fort Anchengo in the Barra Island of United States of the Islands. Transporting 400 personnel per flight it would take around 230 flights for the entire Division to be airlifted to Barra. With 50 Halobs per regiment it would take the two regiments at least two complete sorties per plane to perform this mobilization with at least 24 hours needed per leg of this 12000NM odd flight. Supported by aerial refuelling over St Helena the massive Halobs would be able to conduct this operation with ease. After 24 hours of flight originating from AFB Mysore and landing at FAB Barra, each Halob would undertake 2 hours of refueling before turning around for the return leg. Each Halob has 2 complete crews who would take over at 6 hours shifts. Arriving at 90 minute intervals, the valiant aviators of the Auxiliary Support Command of Royal Cochin Air Force would deliver around 6000 soldiers per day for the next two weeks. On arrival at Barra the completely jet lagged and exhausted soldiers would each be permitted two days of acclimatization at the ample barracks in Camp Barra before being issued equipment and deployed.

The three JM4 fighter regiments are however now arriving in force after their 7 hours of continuous flight from Indian subcontinent with refueling over Lakshadweep, Crozet Islands, St Helena and MOB2. Each Jadayu Mark 4 and its aviator would undergo 12 hours of rest after this voyage before being potentially combat deployable. With the heightened air logistics activity, the GSF202 as the local garrison would be particularly busy ensuring freedom of air corridors in and around British Isles.

Speech of President O'Reilly
From Cork Ireland After Unloading Aid From The Cajun Federation

"First off I would like to explain something. Several people have been calling the United States a 'Foreign Power' to that of the Island of Ireland. The United States is an Irish nation minutes from Ireland. To say the United States has 'Cultural Ties' to Ireland is an understatement to be honest. The majority of the people in the United States are Irish - in fact many of them were born in Ireland and most of the others are first or second generation Irish men or women.
I myself, was born in Cork, Ireland along with Vice President McNeil. Chief Diplomat Susan O'Neil was actually born in Dublin! So to say that the United States is some 'foreign' government that wishes to oppress the Irish and destroy their culture is.. well foolish. The facts are that the United States is an Irish nation with Irish people and an Irish government.

Now we move on to the issue of governance. Ireland will have it's regional districts (states or provinces) that were created long ago. They will have Congressmen that will belong to the United States House of Representatives and the Senate. Every resident of Ireland will be eligible to run for President and any local position of government in their area.
That being said, let me explain something. The United States as we know it will be changed forever. The residents of Ireland will have over a two thirds majority of the United States Congress no matter what because of Ireland's massive population compared to the Island and the Western Isles.
To put it simply, this means that the United States will not control and have power over Ireland, this means that Ireland will control the United States and have the biggest voice and probably the final word in most events if the Irish stick together in congress. The flag of the United States was changed to the Irish flag to symbolize that the government is now under the people of Ireland and the Irish people of the Island and even the Scotts of the Western Isles.

Ireland is not a territory of the United States, Ireland is a number of states of the United States which means that those states will have more political voice then the United States government alone.

I hope I have cleared a few things up for everyone. The United States is now transitioning from being a tiny island that was filled with Irish immigrants and refugees to being united to their homeland and now living with their Irish family and friends.
According to our constitution All men are created equal under their Creator and so I myself being a native of Ireland, see those born on the Island equals to me. I see people who were born in England, Africa, North America, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica equal to me. I can't wait to have representatives from Ireland come to the capital and begin helping us pass legislation. Congress decided to hold off voting until these Irish congressmen can come to give their opinion.
Thank you all for listening and we would like to thank the Cajun Federation for bringing aid to Ireland that the United States military will distribute all across Ireland. The Cajun Engineers and the United States are working hard to help bring up the infrastructure and utilities of Ireland to increase efficiency and hopefully put down water, gas, and electricity bills. God bless the Irish people, and God bless the world."

Price prepared a spoken response to O'Reilly, the man he believe to be the opportunist and failure of the Irish. He had his people record and send the speech to news outlets around the island and world.

"No one stated anything regarding culture destruction, just you. You make claims about your Irish heritage, about your birthplace, about your government being Irish. Your past heritage does not make you Irish, no more than your birthplace makes you Irish. You talk about being Irish, yet you do not know what being Irish is about. You talk about being able to lead the Irish, when you were not suffering alongside us during our dark days. You talk about being Irish, when you waited for several Irish States to fail before you came in "for the Irish people".

You are an opportunist, throwing your own people away to achieve some twisted power fantasy you have about controlling the Irish. You do not care about the Irish; you are simply putting on the guise of care to assert your authority over us. We do not want your government; we do not want your "help". Leave this Island, and leave the Irish to ourselves. You were content with leading on Mann and in the Antarctic. Stay on your islands; we can help ourselves.

Your statements about equality are all politics, and have no bearing on the situation at hand. You had to send military to this island to take control of it. You are an invader of Ireland. We will not send representatives to your foreign Congress; we will not bow to your foreign government. You will not have power over Ireland. You will not have influence over Ireland. If you care about the Irish, you will leave this Island and you will let us rule this island as true Irish. We have not abandoned the Irish to seek power and glory. We have not waited for the opportunity to walk in during a time of despair, attempt to assert rule, and claim to care about us. We have been here, during the prosperous and during the despair. We will continue to be here fighting for the Irish, for Irish rule, for our freedom against the likes of you, Mr. O'Reilly. It is our Island, it is our rule.

I gcás na hÉireann."

**In a barn outside Cork**

"This O'Reilly needs to be stopped. I want rallies of militia to march the streets of Cork tomorrow. We will win this through any means necessary." said Price.

"We can send thousands militia to the streets of Cork, it will take a few hours to get the word out." said the teacher known as McHaggis

"Get it done."

"Upon looking at the chaos happening in Ireland, Austria would like to announce it's support for the smaller popular movements geared towards creating an independent Ireland. While we will refrain from supplying arms and munitions as we believe there is still the chance for a civil conflict to be avoided. Medical aid and rations will be sent from our port in Koper bound for cities such as Cork where these movements are taking place. In addition, the Empire will be distributing aid towards Island and Dalmatian held territories as well, it is the right of those powers to accept or decline this aid.

If a region desires independence, then the views of the people should be met and upheld and the nations of the United States and Dalmatia should respect popular civic wishes. However, Austria also believes that a strong bond should be formed through out this chaos between the United States and the Popular Movements. There is no denying that the USI has a cultural connection to Ireland and given their population expansion, I believe it would help if some land could be distributed to the USI to ease population growth. These factions must work together to prevent a war in the present time and to prevent war in the future. That said, the USI should and must listen to the people of Ireland, while you may both be Irish you are not of the same history and individuality must be respected."

-Maria Thersia II

Aid barges would then be launched from Koper, bound for Cork, Dublin, and Belfast.

*In Cork*

Thousands upon thousands of militia formed near the County Hall to march the streets of the city, nearing 30,000 in total. They were all unarmed, although some may have looked like they had weapons. They wore loose, comfortable clothes and carried signs stating their wish for USI and other foreign governments to leave the Island. Their voice, united; they were all fighting for the same cause. The protest was planned last for hours, days, weeks, as long as it took to drive out the foreigners. The militia people were prepared for a long stay on the streets of Cork. The militia people were united for the Free Irish cause. They would not accept the rule of anyone else; not USI, not England, not any other nation.

The militia members began to march. They chanted "Free Ireland", "Go Home USI", among other phrases against foreign nations. They stayed together in one group. They stayed together for Ireland. They encouraged each other, they supported each other. Their love for a Free Ireland would be the drive they needed to do what is necessary. They were fighting for Ireland.

"In preparation for any refugee events in Ireland, we have prepared refugee safe havens stocked with food and water on the north coast of Brittany. If those providing hospital ships or commercial transport in the area run into those wishing to leave the embattled isles either permanently or temporarily, they may make use of these camps. International aid agencies are also welcome to station your personnel there and they will be provided food and resources courtesy of the Angevin people in gratitude for their humanitarian work."
