Battle Report
Classified

With troops having poured into Ireland and still advancing in, more of the rural center of Ireland has been easily put under protection while troops have quickly moved west hoping to hit the Atlantic Ocean very soon. Supply lines are being set up and the bombs set up on the Limerick runways were defused. The army corps began repairs on the runway in hopes of having it ready to land air craft. Helicopters could already refuel however jets still had to go back to Dublin or Belfast to refuel.

We have no intentions of keeping Ireland in English control, we do not want our citizens taxes paying for a separate state for too long. The sooner we can establish a legitimate government the better.

"The Cajun Federation urges all parties to seek a peaceful diplomatic resolution to these events. We will ask all Cajun civilian maritime traffic to appropriately identify themselves if they enter into the maritime approaches to the British Isles. While we will respect the Athenian blockade militarily, we will not accept any attempts to hinder our economic traffic or harass it without due cause."

"Pursuant to the request of Athens and its embargo all Angevin Ships in route to the isles have been made available for per-inspection at port before departure by an appropriately sized Athenian delegation correlating to the amount of expected traffic. Shipping and trade lane information has been made available to the Athenian Military in order for them to determine how many officers they wish to send for the purpose of inspecting vessels. We assume this would expedite the Athenian request." King George Plantegenet IX announced. "We thank Athens for once again serving as the strength necessary to ensure the stability of Western Europe."

That certainly tilts Athenian neutrality to one side. However we place trust in Athenian Federation that should things get heated up our courtesy to your call wont go wasted.

Operation: Deliverance

Using the Athenian Blockade as a "safe corridor", the Imperial transports continued onwards to Ireland. Using intelligence gathered from satellites, they were careful to avoid the areas where the USI had dug themselves in. Instead, they went around to Galway, which was yet to be captured by enemy forces. As the large transports inched closer to the target destination, their cargo doors open and the word was given.

"Prepare for jump!"

The transports carrying the large equipment went first. Ten large transports were devoted to carrying the basic surface to air missile system, self propelled howitzer. Three other transports were deciated to carrying two Panzer VII tanks each. In order to soften the landing of this heavy equipment, the landing barges were equipped with multi-parachute or parachute retro-rocket systems. In the end, some fifty tanks were landed. The airdrop of soldiers and engineers were next. They dropped from the cargo planes one by one, landing in strategic positions. The first group of about thirty men were from the Imperial Special Tactical Squadron.

The Imperial Special Tactical Squadron were Air Force Combat Controllers. Air Force Combat Controllers are certified to act as air traffic controllers in hostile and dangerous environments. They are able to take over or construct an airstrip, set up navigational equipment, and direct airplanes and helicopters to a safe landing without the use of a tower or elaborate communications system. Their goal was simple. Attempt to fix the Galway Airport to the best of their abilities to allow for the landing of more equipment.

The next group of nine hundred men began to land in Galway. They were equipped with the standard soldier payload, including MANPADs to deflect against enemy air attacks. As the transports left the areas, there would be more brought in, which will supply additional air defense systems, tanks, howitzers, engineering equipment, et cetera.

With world powers largely ignoring the wishes of the Irish people and filling the island with soldiers in preparation for war, people all over Ireland began seeing the self-proclaimed provisional government as the only force - albeit a weak one - in this contest willing to speak for their needs. Many recalled Ireland's past: a nation impoverished and weak after centuries of subjugation, standing up against the most powerful empire in world and being the first of its subjugated people to wrestle their independence from it. Though dormant after decades of relative independence, the resolve of the Irish people to fight, again, a seemingly hopeless struggle to be free was rekindled.

Irish people from all over the island reacted to the provisional government's public letter with patriotic resolve. Waving the flag of the republic, they flooded the streets of every major city in Ireland: Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Limerick, Derry, Lisburn, Galway. They demanded Ireland for the Irish and the removal of all foreign troops from their soil.

The remaining civil servants in the cities and town of Ireland and prominent activists took leadership positions, at the behest of the protesters, with the provisional national government in Dublin. A petition was signed by all major municipal centres pledging their support and recognition of the provisional government and acting executive Eamon O'Shaughnessy.

--------------------------------------

Public Announcement from the Provisional Government of Ireland

Our previous request for the removal of all foreign soldiers from Ireland has been largely ignored. Only the United States of the Islands has even considered recognizing the provisional government, while the rest of the world continues its power play with no consideration for the actual people they're claiming to protect.

But the actions of the Irish people this past day should be clear. With spontaneous protests erupting all over the Ireland, the people have spoken. The Irish do not want to once again be the distant subjects of some far flung empire. They recognize my government as their government. They want an Ireland for the Irish.

The provisional government, therefore, reiterates its request that all foreign soldiers remove themselves from our island. We do, however, recognize that in this moment of tension and potential war, some level of discussion might be required. Though the best solution for peace and the safety of the Irish people is the total and immediate evacuation of all foreign armies, we are at least willing to meet with all those involved to discuss the matter and achieve an orderly withdrawal.

Acting Executive of the Republic

Phone Call Between Leaders
In case You Don't Want To Read it it says this, "Can we stop? I get south you get north" "Yes this sucks" "Alright sorry bro" "No problem, we're cool"

David_Anthony_OReilly Emperor I am happy you received my phone call.

Emperor_Visari Yes, the war that is brewing won't do much to help Europe. It'll only being suffering and disrupt the stability that has been built so far. Therefore, we must end it, in my opinion.

David_Anthony_OReilly I agree. This entire thing is sad for the both of us and I think we should show the world we are above this. My nation's cultural ties are all to Southern Ireland while Northern Ireland is more neutral. I understand you need room for some military? Why don't you just take northern Ireland and I'll take the south?

Emperor_Visari Our move into Ireland was to bring stability, in addition to expanding the Empire's defensive borders. However, I do agree with your suggestion. Ireland is a nation based on culture, and the culture of the south directly relates to you. On the other hand, the North relates to me. So yes, I do agree that dividing up the nation would suit us both. Also, this move will secure peace and stability in the region.

David_Anthony_OReilly I agree. I hope we can become friends out of this and have a border where the Irish people may be able to visit each other a little more freely. I am happy we could resolve this... I wish I would have called you a few days ago, this is much easier then spending millions on fuel.

Emperor_Visari nods

Emperor_Visari While we have had our differences today, I am positive that we can move onwards into the future, working together for a peaceful and stable Ireland.

The Treaty

1 The United States of The Islands and The Continental Empire of Dalmatia hereby promise to not engage in any type of economical, physical, or military attacks against the other.

2 The United States gets full control of Southern Ireland which is defined as the old "Republic of Ireland". It will be annexed into the USI.

3 The Continental Empire of Dalmatia gets full control of Northern Ireland which is defined as "Northern Ireland" or what the original United Kingdom once owned in the early 21st century. It will be annexed to the CED.

Both parties will work together to keep Ireland a safe place for the people which inhabit it and will do their bast to keep the island at peace. If this treaty is to end, the the party must first alert the opposing party, The Kingdom of Cochin, and The Athenian Federation. All forces of the USI and all forces of the CED will be moved to their own territory as quickly as possible to ensure sovereignty and order.

Signed,

The Continental Empire of Dalmatia would like to remind England that Northern Ireland is now Imperial territory. Any incursions into our sovereign territory will be considered an act of war, and we will act using the appropriate measures.

With the securing of peace, the Royal Cochin Army and Royal Cochin Air Force deployments stationed at MOB2 and St Helena would return to their home bases and Fort Anchengo would return to default Cochin DEFCON levels. Those units that have already arrived at Fort Anchengo would stay a while longer to wait until everything settles down before returning back to their home bases.

The 3rd Marine Division which has deployed in force in Ireland would move towards the newly secured USI territories to assist in the assimilation of territory.

Meanwhile Ministry of External Affairs would organize a massive party at the Cochin Embassy in Douglas to celebrate the securing of peace.

With the announcement of this treaty, the protests around Ireland escalated. The people flooded the streets with cars, trucks and forming human chains to prevent the movement of foreign soldiers from taking up positions in the places their nations divided the country into.

Sold Out! - The Irish Times

Despite the United States of the Islands pretending to recognize the rights of the Irish people and pledging to fight for their independence, the foreign powers vying for control of Ireland have divided the country among themselves. The cries of the Irish people were ignored throughout the scramble of Ireland - the nations of the world without question believing themselves masters of the Irish people. The hypocrisy of all involved is rank. Declarations of protection and solidarity were all mere facades. The Greeks pretended to blockade our island but were clearly intent on manipulating the outcome of a war fought here. What peaceful purpose does only allowing European nations to invade our country? So we will only be murdered by Europeans? What does any of this mean for protection?

It means nothing. The Irish people have been sold out, but we refuse to accept our fate. The USI and Dalmatians will learn the lesson we taught the British. The Irish cannot be held down.

We, among many others in the world, do not consider your claims as valid. Did you really expect a treaty with such a small nation as the USI to be entirely binding to the rest of the world?

Perhaps if we had been involved in the discussions which by the looks of it took a matter of seconds we might have been more easy going on you.

We could easily say to you that we consider your presence in Ireland to be an act of war but we would much rather settle this diplomatically.

We have no intention of launching attacks on any such nations. We would like to point out however that due to the fact we have the strongest claim to the island of Ireland through treaties signed by the former government of Ireland we find if very strange and insulting we were left out of any such diplomatic correspondence over the future of Ireland.

Many nations have already dismissed Dalmatias claims as illegitimate as do we, we do not consider the case to be closed at this present point in time.

In this troubled time we, the government of England, fully endorse the provisional government of Ireland and everything it stands for and recognizes it as the only legitimate ruler of Ireland.

Foreign control over Ireland has only ever ended badly for the oppressor and we shall not let any such event happen again.

The true government of Ireland has our full support.

From The Desk of The President of The United States

Today Ireland starts anew. Two nations now control fair cultural borders and will do their best to ensure that the people of Ireland will be happy and safe. Currently 30,000 soldiers that belong to the United States are stationed in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Those in Northern Ireland will be moved to the United States territory in southern Ireland. To secure and protect Northern Ireland, the United States is opening up it's Irish air space for the time being. We hope they will do the same for us as we pull our troops out of Northern Ireland.

The Athenian Federation and The Kingdom of Cochin will have some troops and vessels remain in the area by request of us us in the USI and our new friends in the north. Any military action from other nations on or near the island of Ireland will be taken as aggressive and hostile and I can assure them that the four of us have gone through enough - we will not stand for it.

It is by the Grace of God and the People of Ireland that this never evolved into a bloody conflict. Long live the USI, long live the CED, and long live Ireland.

The City of Dublin

Commander Edison walked down the quiet streets of Dublin. The President had lowered the United States to DEFCON 2 since war was less likely now. The DEFCON level would continue to drop until it would return to peaceful 5. The city was so beautiful. It was so quiet. Many of the Marines and Army men were let off duty and joined in local restaurants for supper giving the locals much business. The pubs got a spike in cash as well. Peace and stability was to come. "We are all in this together" he thought. He was home.
