Official Protectorate Announcement
Kingdom of Hyrule – The Municipality of United Socialist Empires Protectorate agreement

ARTICLE I: Basics

We of the Kingdom of Hyrule extend our hand to The Municipality of Socialist Empires to provide protection and a helping hand. By the signing of this protectorate agreement both parties will show respect and good wills towards each other. If the spirit of this agreement is broken by either party it should be brought to the attention of both party's governments immediately.

ARTICLE II: Spying

Both parties agree that spying in any form will not be conducted against one another.

ARTICLE III: Aid

If either party comes to the point that they are in need of aid, whether that be financial or otherwise, the other party does not have to respond to the request, but it is strongly encouraged for the other party to help out in anyway they can.

ARTICLE IV: Intelligence

If either party receives intelligence that is threatening to the other party they agree to share it immediately.

ARTICLE V: Conflicts

By signing this Protectorate agreement the Kingdom of Hyrule agrees to fully protect The Municipality of United Socialist Empires in any time of need. If the Kingdom of Hyrule comes under attack, The Municipality of United Socialist Empires does not have to defend Kingdom of Hyrule. However, it should comes as no surprise if they choose to do so.

ARTICLE VI: Overseer

To help The Municipality of United Socialist Empires get started off, a member of Kingdom of Hyrule will be appointed to go to The Municipality of United Socialist Empires as an adviser. The appointed adviser will be responsible to help out in any way that is appropriate for the circumstances, and act as a leader without interfering with MOUSE's sovereignty.

ARTICLE VII: Technology

To help provide a stable economic growth for The Municipality of United Socialist Empires, the Kingdom of Hyrule will provide tech deals. It is expected that MOUSE provides buyers to the Kingdom of Hyrule as well.

ARTICLE VIII: The End

After The Municipality of United Socialist Empires becomes capable of defending themselves this Protectorate agreement will end with a mutual agreement of both parties. However, if the need to cancel this agreement arises prematurely, it may be canceled after a 72 hour notice.

Didn't you already say this in their DoE? Or is it really all about the publicity?
We said in their DoE that we would be protecting them, yes. We wanted to post this so that would be more official and such and to deter raiders from attacking them. It really has nothing to do with publicity. I'd much rather sit in my little obscure corner of CN

I see you've never dealt with the selective hearing (or seeing in this case) of raiders.

Hyrule a tiny bit small to be a protector, no? :/

MOUSE isn't a very big alliance at the moment so I don't see it being too much of a problem, I'm sure KoH are competant enough to manage.

Thank you Rena. But I really didn't see 2 people being that hard to protect as they go on their endeavor. If they feel we're no longer big enough to protect them one day, then they can do what we did last november and find a new protector.

Sure its easy protect two people, but what happens if in 1 months time they are 22 people? Hyrule isn't ready to be a protector and while I admire your willingness to help out the smallest members of our community your putting them in danger and possibly yourselves. I expected more thought to be put behind this decision from such an experienced government but I guess I was wrong.

Then let them be 22 people, they will most likely be small nations which are pretty easy to protect. Also, if there would be need of it there are always allies to call upon if it were necessary. We've got allies and maybe they will have made new friends as well. Also, endangering ourselves is fun! Gives us a bit of fun in this boring game.

If you have to call in allies to take care of your protectorate, then you probably aren't ready to be a protector.

Very very true.

It's cool and all that your alliances are friendly. But it doesn't seem like you have the power to protect these fellows if push came to shove.
