My name is Geoffery Plantegenet IIX I am administrator in the region of Anjou who has been diligently working with the people in the region in an attempt to reform some semblance of local governance which would be respectable to you, our protectors, and would permit us to once again govern ourselves with some measure of independence. After long consultation with the individuals in the region, it was determined that the greatest time in the history of our region prior to the failures of Democracy and Capitalism to defend and secure the wealth of our people was the time of the Angevins, prior to the 100 years war. This is notable because I am a descendant from that lineage. I have formed a petition which you will find the bulk of the population has signed requesting you consider releasing the region as the Angevin Monarchy under the administration which I have assembled to make way for progress under, and if necessary, beyond your guidance allowing for the region to act with great independence and releasing from you and your governments the burdens of maintenance while sustaining a measure of loyalty to those whom have so faithfully cared for us when we were without a banner (meaning you of course). With that in mind, if you allow our formation, we would have great interest in the closest possible ties for our collective defense and prosperity. What say you? Travel plans were forwarded to both Germany and Athens so that scheduling could be done by the appropriate persons. ### Meanwhile ### A member of the French Guard came and promptly knelt before his future King, "Lord Geoffrey, we have an urgent message from the Air Force. A nuclear weapons exchange is being reported as being detected by some of our commercial satellites. The Flare and EMP detectors on some of our solar observatories indicate they're originating from east Asia. Then he noticed the Emperor walking in and heard his greeting. "Thank you Emperor Moretti, you are quite gracious to allow us our freedom once more and I apologize that it took us as long as it has to get ourselves organized once again. We appreciate that you've allowed us to keep some of the equipment and technology needed for our defense. I think we should look at a longer term discussion of how to stabilize Europe and I think it's important that it include trade, a very strong mutual defense profile, and an intolerance for rogue states." About that time Geoffrey's military adviser walked in and whispered in his ear. "Also, I've heard about a mess in Korea and that as part of the Athenian Federation we had already participated in strikes on the Koreas. What are your stances on it and should we consider an intervention as well with some of the weapons that we have been provided?" Geoffrey inquired. "I'm very concerned about the events occurring there and the potential for global impact. My people are even in the process of stockpiling a few backup essential supplies and commodities prices are on the rise due to the concern and speculation."
