Parents at a local school district in Holsteinsborg have petitioned the school board to remove sugary foods from the cafeteria menu and vending machines. The school board has said they will form a committee to determine if this petition should be further looked into. This process is expected to take around six months, whereafter an action committee tasked with providing a suitable list of alternatives will be formed. More on this breaking story as it develops.

An angry schoolchild has filed a counter-petition to protest what he calls a clear violation of his right to "stuff my body with whatever I want."

The investigatory committee determining whether the original petition holds merit has been halted with the filing of this counter-petition. A panel determining the legality of determining whether the original petition can be examined has been created to decide if the investigatory committee may proceed. The panels report is expected to be finished in the next twelve months.
