VigilantWatcher
Classified Mgamba Systems begin plans to create a revolutionary missile that is a Cruise Missile/Anti Ship Missile hybrid similar to a BGM-109C Tomahawk Cruise Missile. It would have a combined Kinetic Energy Penetrator and High Explosive Warhead. Its intended launch platform would be from a surface vessel using a Mk 41 Vertical Launch System. The missile would have a two stage motor system, the first at the lower end of the missile activating at initial launch to within ten miles of the target, when the motor would separate and the second boost motor would ignite accelerating the missile to Mach 4. The One Thousand Pound High Explosive Warhead would have a Kinetic Energy Penetrator on the tip with chaff countermeasures around it, which would separate on approach to the target to counter Close in Weapon Systems. As the missile strikes the target, the Kinetic Energy Penetrator would penetrate the vessels' hull, activating a sensor which would a split second later detonate the One Thousand Pound High Explosive Warhead.
