An Army, A Navy and lastly, An Airforce in order to provide for the defence of all the people of the Realm. Out of Ten: For: Forty-Five Against: Zero Abstain: Zero With the act enabled, Men of military able age(18-50) have been conscripted and start training in the Defence Force, bringing the active armed forces to a total of 450,000 men. [*]Svalbard Reserves the right to intervene in any regional irregularities it holds an interest in. [*]INTERNATIONAL POLICY [*]Svalbard reserves the right to defend interests on an intercontinental level in any context, including shipping, foreign nationals, aircraft and businesses. [*]Svalbard will offer financial and medical aid to any nation, friend or foe who requests it. [*]The Royal Government of Svalbard is not obliged to intervene in any action outside of the Svalbard Archipelago, Northern Europe and Scandinavia but retains the right to voice its opinion on matters around the world. (Svalbard Clean Energies) Commission, an umbrella company that includes the Svalbard Windfarms Organisation, Tidal Generators Incorporated, and A.G.E. (Applied Geological Enterprises) [u][b]SVALBARD WINDFARMS[/b][/u] Due to the abundance of fresh breezes in Svalbard, late in the 20th century(1990s), we purchased several wind turbines from the Dutch, and reverse-engineered them (basically, we took the existing technology, and scaled it up for mass-production of our electrical needs.) [u][b]TIDAL GENERATORS INCORPORATED[/b][/u] This technology is still in its infancy, and further research is necessary. Currently, our prototype Tidal Generators are only producing 1.5 to 2% of the total power consumption of Idaho and its territories. There are actually two different industries at work in this field, one dealing primarily with hydro-electric generation methods, whilst the other (and more experimental) deals with passing a current between large offshore electrodes, converting the water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen is then mixed back with the oxygen, and the mixture ignited. The explosion caused is used to power large engines based on floating platforms above the electrodes, thus generating more electricity to make this a self-sustaining process. [u][b]APPLIED GEOLOGICAL ENTERPRISES[/b][/u] During field surveys, it was noted that we have an abundance of both geysers (superheated water) and thermal vents. Our scientists were tasked with harnessing this natural resource, and came up with, after much trial and error (and the loss of several thousand lives), a viable way of creating Geothermal Generators. The technology is based on gas turbines, where the superheated water (or the pure thermal vents) turn the huge turbines which are attached to the generating dynamos (incidentally, this is where many of the lives were lost, trying to find a way to channel the enormous energies from our living planet so that we could harness them to our needs) [u][b]NEW COMPANY FORMED[/b][/u] Rannoch Corporation is a newly formed Svalbardan company based in the capital. It is a research, development and production company working in the field of gun manufacturing, specifically in the field of sniper's rifles and other special forces based weaponry Its products include the Bor, which is a bolt-action 7.62x51mm NATO caliber sniper rifle. The weapon received the code name Alex during development, after the name of the lead designer Aleksander Leżucha, creator of the 12.7x99mm NATO Wilk anti-materiel rifle.
