F/A-18 being used to create new fighter

Despite buying 20 new fighter from the United Federation of the East, Mongolian officals are still pressing for a domestic fighter to be the primary craft for the Republican Guard's air division. "It's nothing personal, we just need to prove that we are capable of creating our own craft and become an independent military producer. We thank the UFE for selling us the fighter craft we will be basing our new design on" Yun Kachi (Mongolian Weapons Development Division). Two of the 20 fighters are being used for the project while the other 18 are being put into action by the Guard and given to the top ranking pilots within the airforce. The Mig-23 has been declared too out of date for combat and is to be removed from action by the end of August.

The Mongolian MiG-23 will be removed from the Republican Guard Air Corps by the end of August and replaced with either the F/A-18 or the new fighter.

Protests break out near parliament

protestors gathered near parliament as rumors of the tax hike being extended onto july have angered civilans. The Mongolian government issued a tax hike to help boost the nation's economy and pay for various projects that would help the country. But Mongolian civilans have had enough, the economic reform already shortened their pay and now they must pay even more out of their salaries. The head chairman of parliament released an offical statement addressing the rumor "it is a rumor, nothing more. Whoever made it, was trying to stir trouble" despite the address people are still protesting the tax hike in general calling it an unfair act on an already impoverished people.

The United Federation of the East strongly advises against copying UFE tech we have sold you without permission. If you wish to get assistance from the UFE you may contact Boeing, Chongqing Aeronautics (its parent company), or the economic attache at the UFE embassy, blatant reverse engineering is a violation of international intellectual property law.

The Mongolian government is not aware of such a law, if the UFE is offended the project will be altered to not include reverse engineering of UFE technology however the MWDD is still pushing for a domestic fighter to replace the aged MiG-23 under direct order of the Prime Minister and several members of parliament.

Tank woes

The 52nd Armor division of the Republican Guard has been put out of action when 6 of its tanks reported mechanical failures due to worn out parts were made in just the same week. To prevent further damage to the already old tanks the 52nd has been ordered for all thier T-62's to be looked over and have several critical parts replaced and repaired. "This is embarrassing, but this kind of thing does happen when your equipment is so old" Captain Hujik Lao of the 52nd Armor. The repairs and replacement parts will cost up to 2.5 million Togrogs and a full review and inspection of the armored corps is now underway to insure they are not suffering the same issues.

New uniforms for Guardsmen

After months of debating over the issue, parliament has finally approve for new uniforms for the Republican Guard. They will replace uniforms that were made prior to the republic's formation when most of the guard were local militia members. The new uniforms are being handed out to all units of the Guard and are now the standard for the armed forces of Mongolia.

Mining accident kills 3

A mining accident in the Northern region of Mongolia killed 3 miners today when a shaft caved in burying them alive. Attempts to rescue them were hindered by the mine shaft's poor condition, by the time the rescue team reached them the three miners were dead. Burial ceremonies are being paid by the company that owned the mine and the nation is now mourning the three workers. Parliament is now pressuring mining organization in Mongolia who conduct heavy operations in the north ,where large deposits of copper are being extracted, to implace better safety procedures and policies that will make sure this never happens again.

The Commonwealth has noted your woes with the T-62 tank. While a fine machine, it's design is nearly half a century old. Therefore, Commonwealth Armories offers to the Republican Guard the licensed production/purchasing of T-80 main battle tanks to replace the aging T-62. Of necessary, other armored unit designs (such as the BMP-2F) can be declassified for Mongolian use.

The Republic is interested in your offer for both the purchase and production license for the T-80 battle tank and possibly other armor vehicles in the Commonwealth's arsenal. The Republican Guard offers deals on its arsenal in return namely protypes such as the Mongolian Stingwray A1, a 5 X 5 missile launcher that attaches to the turrent of a tank to fire a barrage of 40x53mm explosive projectiles or a variant 3X3 that fires a medium sized anti-tank round.

Government officals avoid discussion about war

The Prime Minister and several members of parliament are avoiding any and all talk about the ongoing war in Korea, most believe the reason is because there are members of parliament who back the Koreans for the defense of their nation and others who back the coalition. It could very well be the first time parliament found itself divided on a major issue and simply does not want to press it since the conflict has little to do with the Mongol nation other than its treaty partner being bordered to where the conflict is being fought.

Korean satellite crashes in remote village

Junu Hatelik didn't know what to think when he heard a thunderous loud bang near his farmhouse in a rural village in Eastern Mongolia, he went outside with his hunting rifle and son in tow and found what thought was a meteorite. He called the local authorites and found out through them it was a Korean satellite, "it must have been damaged in orbit or been brought down during the fighting out east, I honestly don't wanna see more of them here" said a Guardsmen who was investigating the crash site. "Its definitly korean, whatever electronics were in it are fried so im guessing EMP?" The satellite was moved to the local Republican Guard outpost till further notice.

The Commonwealth is extremely interested in the Stingray A1. We would be gracious if the blueprints for this weapon were sent to us. In addition, blueprints for T-80 tanks and BMP-2F (Lance-flammes/Flamethrower) APCs have been sent.

Heavy Metal Concert draws thousands

A large concert lasting for two days has drawn thousands of Mongolian youth to attendence as several Mongolian Heavy Metal bands play what is considered the biggest concert in recent Mongol history. Headlined by the band Temujin the concert currently is being supported by nine other bands that are considered Mongolia's elite in the Metal scene including an old school thrash metal band called Genocide Covenant. Temujin is planning a 5 day tour that will span southern Mongolia, Western Zargathia and a single show in China in small bar hoping to push the influence of the music genre.

Internet Cafe's becoming nationwide sensation

What started as a small local buisness has become one of the Republic's most successful chains. An internet cafe called Ti Aumo started near the Mongolian University in Ulan Batar and now has over tweleve shops in the major cities and towns across Mongolia. The cafe for some is the only way to get access to the internet and has actually spurred parliament to consider making internet access easier to the general public, but for now the only way for some is to pay a small fee and log onto a cafe owned computer.

Military stockpile worries locals

The Republican Guard base near the town of Burd is considered an important military base as it is part of a network of bases that surround the central territories of Mongolia. However locals are starting to comment on the rather large stockpile of weapons and even fuel calling it 'worrisome'. Guard officals state that the base is merely behind in shipping supplies to other bases in the country. Still locals are wondering if the large stockpile has anything to do with rising tensions across the globe.

Civilans upset at Prime Minister

Several Mongol civilans look up to Prime Minister Yanjmma as the founding father of the Republic, but they believe his anti-UFE stance has gone too far. Anti-UFE resentment has been present in Mongolia for some time now mainly because of xenophobia, but recently it has died down to a point where Mongols want to pursue neutral relations or none at all. But the recent border showdown has changed that, it seems the Prime Minister is intent on starting a cold war with the UFE over their control of Western Mongolia, the Prime Minister declared it was an obstruction in any chances of one day unifying Mongolia under the Republic. Public opinion of the Prime Minister fell dramatically and could spell disaster for him in the next election. Right now Parliament is moving to fix the issue and might take Yanjmma to court for giving the Guard an order without consulting with Parliament which violates the constitution.

Ulen Jishai dies at 78

Ulen Jishai was the man who prior to the founding of the Republic, kept relations between local Mongols and protectorate forces on an upbeat and a major supporter for the formation of the Republic. He was also one of the first outspoken Mongols against the war on Korea and against the current border situation calling Prime Minister Yanjmma a "shoot first ask questions later politican that Mongolia does not need right now". He has often been critical of the Prime Minister since the Republic was founded and was against Mongolia's treaty with Zargathia for unknown reasons. Jishai died in a hospital in Eastern Mongolia after heart failures caused him to be in severe condition and was bed ridden for two weeks. He will be remembered as a founding father of the current Republic and is seen as a major figure for Mongols pushing for a Neutral Foreign policy.

New Sniper Rifle model disapoints

Republican Guard officals state that a new Sniper Rifle model they have been testing is a disapointment. The rife is simply too heavy and doesn't seem practical for an army that needs to move in large open space quickly and the rifle itself is almost as heavy as some light machine guns.

Courts demand Yanjmma to appear

The Mongolian courts have demanded that Altan Yanjmma appear for charges of undermining the authority of Parliament, by deploying troops of the Republican Guard without Parliament's approval. "Parliament in the supreme power of the People's Republic, the Prime Minister is elected to serve as the represenative of the government and is only allowed to approve military action for small scale police operations or when given emergency powers by Parliament. Mr. Yanjmma has done the offense with neither and deployed an entire third if not half of our military forces to the border for what appeared to be a full scale conflict waiting to happen. And therefore Yanjmma not only illegally order troops to deploy but also threatened the peace." Judge Bataar

Currently, Altan Yanjmma is in the UFE for a meeting to try and negotiate with the UFE government over the recent issue. Parliament has just now officaly stated that due to recent events Altan Yanjmma is suspended as Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Mongolia and will not be allowed to serve another term despite whatever outcome occurs from the trial.

Commander Chagev of the Republican Guard is also to appear in trial tommorrow for following orders from the Prime minister a clear breach in his duty as the Head Commander of the Republican Guard forces and for conspiring to conduct a possible war against the UFE according to records handed to the courts by the Republican Guard Interal Security forces. He is currently suspended with Field Marshall Gangli Tartar fulfilling the role of Commander.

Total Recall

The Mongolian Beer company Aatah Tobb has announced a Total Recall of its July shipment. Head executives stated that some cleaning material used in the tanks to produce the beer might have leaked into some of the final product which can cause vomitting and diarrhea. All shipments to buyers outside the country have ceased and the company is pulling off all its product from the shelves in wherever the beer is being carried. The head spokesman made a statement about the incident "We allowed a slip up and will not let our loyal customers and buyers pay the price, we are pulling all product from the shelves and will be shipping a fresh batch by the end of the week. I hope you can forgive us and continue to drink our beer. Thank you"
The Aatah Tobb beer company has been around for years supplying most of Asia with the cheap alcoholic drink.

Yulik Batiar made acting Prime Minister

With Yanjmma unable to finish his term, Parliament has elected Yulik Batiar as acting Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Mongolia. Batiar is a former mercenary who served alongside the Vaule and Cochin protectorate forces as local support. In his late 40s and missing an eye, Batiar definitly has seen action long before his merc days with protectorate forces and might have fought in wars involving the Mongol nation. Still, Batiar is now the second Prime Minister of the People's Republic and will serve out Yanjmma's remaining term till elections start in August.
