While officially neutral the Hellenic Air Force would be anything but, the 5th Wing 'Swift Hawk' would start to ascend from Fort Beihai, while not normally there the wing had secretly moved there, on record they were simply there for training.

Major Genchi by now had obtained some experience in using the B-10 however this was his first time actually using it in real combat, it probably was one of the first times it was used ever. After entering into the air a final check would be done to make sure they were combat-ready.

"Ascend to maximum altitude and speed." He ordered, the squadrons would slowly ascend to reach its top speed of mach 6 at near-space.

While the distance was relatively small already and there were only was a limited amount of national airspace they would cross the systems still proved effective. If they could be detected there simply was nothing defenders could do about it, the B-10 was flying too fast and had proper protection against most systems. The crews would see the targets appear on their screen as they neared Scandinavia.

"Kill them."

The bombers would start descending while drones were released hellbent on disabling or even destroying the detection systems of Sokol through concentrated cyber-attacks. Using the chaos that would undoubtedly be created the B-10s would release a total of 576 ER-M-51s that with conventional munitions and flying at mach 10 would be aimed at port facilities, military installations and government facilities. Other civilian targets were avoided.

"Good job, back to base."

As the B-10s flew back to where they came from the drones would self-destruct destroying any chance Torun would be able to find those responsible for the attacks.

General Peace Between Finland and Torun Achieved
Due to the negotiations by Aamu Berglund of Finland and Aironth Flamebringer of Torun, we have reached a general peace and cessation of hostilities between our nations.
I'm the representative from Finland.
13:39 Aironth_Flamebringer and I am the commanding General of the Grand Army of Torun, I speak for my government
13:40 Aamu wonderful. basically, here is the finnish position: we are concerned that there are foreign armies attacking our peaceful little country.
13:41 Aironth_Flamebringer you wish our troops to pull out... I assume
13:41 Aamu of course.
13:42 Aamu does Torun wish to pursue an honorable exit from this conflict?
13:43 Aironth_Flamebringer but first before we get into any concrete details let me assuredly say we if these talks break down would never use nuclear arms on your people and the thought of such a move never crossed our mind. We are an honorable nation and do not wish to be thought of as anything other then that
13:43 Aamu The Finnish Nation shall also pledge that nuclear weapons will not be used first against the people of Torun.
13:44 Aironth_Flamebringer can we take that as a binding agreement)OOC: these logs will be posted as peace talks if we do agree to peace)
13:44 Aamu Yes, we can take this as a binding agreement.
13:45 Aironth_Flamebringer (see isnt discussion fun when we arent at each others throats being mean and hurtful)
13:45 Aamu (yes)
13:45 Aamu What are Torun's aims in this talk?
13:46 Aironth_Flamebringer We wish peace in our day, but also understanding from the Finnish people that we played out our actions not out of aggression towards Finland but out of our own desperation.
13:47 Aironth_Flamebringer You see, my nation has 25 million souls within its confines and while they are currently taken care of and managed within our resource limit, we fear another population boom.
13:47 Aamu Finland proposes that we recognize an overpopulation issue in Torun. We will declare a general peace, and assist the Torunian nation with humanitarian assistance.
13:47 Aironth_Flamebringer We needed to expand our land to be able to hold our people.
13:48 Aamu We also are willing to accept large amounts of immigration from Torun.
13:48 Aamu We also offer to mediate between Torun and Sweden after cessation of hostilities for territory.
13:50 Aironth_Flamebringer That would be perfectly a good solution, provided I ask one concession(and i am making this bit up) There is the region of South Karelia in Finland that has a massive amount of polish immigration already, after the dispora with the German Federation and the Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia, Would finland be willing to cede this province, or even a portion of the province to Torun because...
13:50 Aironth_Flamebringer ...of the Polish numbers therein(you can of course refuse, i knwo its a bs tactic)
13:51 Aamu The Karelian Question has been in dispute between the Finnish and Russian people for as long as our nations have existed.
13:51 Aamu We do not wish for a third group to become embroiled in this long standing source of contention and conflict.
13:52 Aironth_Flamebringer Then may I propose a solution, which you could reject of course
13:52 Aamu Torunian immigrants will be welcome there, but we do not wish for a third political player in the area.
13:52 Aironth_Flamebringer (i was gonna say, you could turn it over to us and we could be a buffer between you two)
13:53 Aamu (that won't work very well since we're allies atm.)
13:54 Aironth_Flamebringer (this is weird, i want to fight because i want to have pieces of land, because i do want to grow, but i dont want to just be loltechraped by you which i wouldnt consider fair), its why i enjoyed fighting justi, he was fair and wouldnt technobable me but i was fair and wouldnt zerg rush him with troops)
14:14 *** Aironth_Flamebringer is now known as michigans_own[NoR]
14:21 Aamu We propose a General Peace Agreement.
14:22 Aamu We both shall agree to a Cessation of Hostilities and a Restoration of Diplomatic Affairs.
14:22 Aamu Finland shall, furthermore, recognize the humanitarian problem with overpopulation in Torun and maintain awareness of the issue in its Foreign Affairs dealings.
14:23 Aamu Finally, in light of the hardships and desperation of the Torunian nation, we shall waive all military and civilian reparations.
14:23 Aamu Does Torun find these statements amicable?
14:23 michigans_own[NoR] We agree
14:23 michigans_own[NoR] we agree
14:24 Aamu very well. The General Peace Agreement shall be posted immediately, and we shall consider all hostilities between Torun and Finland nonexistent.
14:24 Aamu From this point forward.
The General Peace Agreement is Outlined Below:
We propose a General Peace Agreement.
We both shall agree to a Cessation of Hostilities and a Restoration of Diplomatic Affairs.
Finland shall, furthermore, recognize the humanitarian problem with overpopulation in Torun and maintain awareness of the issue in its Foreign Affairs dealings.
Finally, in light of the hardships and desperation of the Torunian nation, we shall waive all military and civilian reparations.
As concluded by Deputy Breglund and General Flamebringer, a General Peace Agreement has been reached between Torun and the Republic of Finland. We call upon Torun and Slavorussia to also reach a peace agreement as the cause of their conflict has now been resolved. Military hostilities remain between Sweden and Finland due to their noninvolvement in this separate peace agreement.

Theo Almquis sat quietly in his chamber this night. As a member of the Provisional Government, he held a higher status than typical government officials of other nations. The Queen still remained busy trying to organize a fitting government and continued to fiddle with various ideas, continuing to rely on the 'representatives of the nations' that made up the Provisional Government for the time being. Theo was still deep into his novella on Scanadinavian History when he let out a light chuckle. The Queen had been such a fool to put forward status, titles, and money in front of men who had been tried and tested... but in the failed regimes of Sweden's past. Although some members of the Provisional Government acted like lapdogs and were loyal to Her Majesty beyond measure, some of the men that made up the group did have a nice tilt towards words such as 'corruption', and 'selfishness'. Theo Almquis was one of those certain indiviuals.

Such is why the man was surprised to hear a light tapping at his door and the soft voice that accompanied it 'Hello? Theo, Are you there?'.

Dropping his eyes from the novella and placing on the table, he looked over to the door and knew it could only be the Queen. Her voice was distinctive from the servants that resided in the house, carrying a different dialect than they spoke, and having a strangely childish whimsy to her manner of speaking. Lifting himself from the chair he had been sitting in, he made his way over to the door, yet made sure to grab the letter-opener he kept on his desk beforehand. Taking the usual long strides that he possessed in his manner of walking, he made his way over to the door. Opening it yet being sure to conceal his weapon of choice, he motioned for the Queen to come in to his personal chamber and professional office. He could tell she was jittery, but something in her hands caught his eye.

"Your Majesty, would you like some tea, perhaps? I can have the servants bring it, or if you don't have the time, I can prepare it myself right here."

As he spoke the Queen, he continued to shift his gaze back down towards the object in her hand. It was the letter that the Slavorussians had sent the Queen, to which 'she' had replied back to. This was definitely not a good sign... somehow an object that was not meant to reach Her Majesty had filtered it's way through the cracks and gotten past the censors of the Provisional Government. They'd gone as far as requesting a media blackout on the war with Finland, and falsifying the Queen's seal in order to make sure it was enforced. How could this one little letter manage to sneak it's way up to her? One person's face came to mind, but he cleared it soon after to make sure he knew what he had to do.

The letter-opener began to get heavy, and his hands began to shake a little, but the Queen had come to know of a fool's plot. He had to take some course of action now to prevent this from becoming even more exposed, lest the situation could become out of hand and he might find himself hanging in a square somewhere in Stockholm. Taking the letter-opener firmly into his stronger left arm, he pulled his arm back and stabbed forward into the Queen's side. To make sure it did some degree of damage, he repeated the process twice more, and left the Queen lying there as he jumped out the window and tried to run as far as he could. His carelessness, however, had left blood on his clothing and his hands, and he'd eventually be spotted by a Guard and brought in for questioning relative to the blood he had soaked himself and his outfit with. The servant who Theo had prematurely sent to grab tea for the two of them arrived over a minute later, only to find the Queen on the verge of death, losing consciousness and blood fast. The servant screamed, and would be heard by others servant, who would soon get medical staff to the area as fast as possible. Although it was a miracle the Queen was still holding on, barely as she was, evacuation to a medical treatment facility due to the circumstances was made faster than a typical case. Grief would still shake the Palace, as they now could only wait on news of the situation.

Following questioning less than an hour afterwards by local police and Dragoons, Theo Almquist would also find himself 'cracking' and beginning to lose his sanity before finally spouting out the truth of what had happened in his office in the Palace. Still delusional in believing he had done the right thing, he would soon after be dragged to a prison where the Guards looked at him with disgust after shutting the cell door.

Still, it was time to relay the truth to the 'enemy', the continent, and the world. Andreas Karlsson was now the only one in a position to do so. He felt blessed by the depth of loyalty he held to Her Majesty, and had been working to uncover the schemes and corruption imminently present within the Provisional Government once wind started spreading about the potential 'power-grab' that Theo and his relative others had begun speaking of. Their actions had surmounted in this, something that Andreas learned of far too late to inform the Queen and stop, but at least he had managed to present some evidence of the truth to her prior to this moment: the letter that was sent at the beginning. He would begin to compile a report later, and publish it for all eyes to see, but first he had to stop this charade of a war.

--------
Stockholm Palace
--------

Andreas had connections due to his position as the 'Head of Foreign Affairs' within the provisional government, and began to make calls immediately to the Finnish government only to be denied the ability to get through to them due to the communications knockout suffered thanks to the Flygvapnet. Cursing, he opted to choose his only course of action left immediately at this point and gathered employees, newscasters, and broadcasting crew from TV4 to set up for ASAP for a public broadcast. Since a media blackout couldn't be bypassed due to the Queen's supposed approval, he could only broadcast it out of country, but that would be enough. Directing it towards both Slavorussia, Finland, and the Germanic Union, the broadcast began to roll in 3, 2, 1...

"Good afternoon, citizens of Finland, neighbors in Slavorussia, and allies in the Germanic Union. I am Andreas Karlsson of the Swedish Provisional Government. The following hasty broadcast comes to you from in front of Stockholm Palace, but with a note of urgency rather than the whimsy or drama that you'd typically associate with news stories. Heed my words, and listen well. The aggressive actions that have been taken less than a week ago were done illegally and without the permission of the Queen, or the entirety of the Provisional Government. Some corrupt and illicit officials within the Government attempted to use their level of power and their backing to surmount a coup d'etat against Her Majesty. The invasion of Finland was to function as a method of weakening the Queen's standing, and allowing the radical elements of the country, including the Provisional Government members among them to forcibly rest power from the Queen on grounds of 'insanity, and inability to rule'. What has transpired due to their actions is nothing less of despicable. As such, on my authority, two other key members beyond the one already in custody are on their way there.

The rash actions of one of their ring-leaders, Theo Almquist, has left Her Majesty hospitalized and in a state of near-death. From investigations, Mr. Almquist panicked upon noticing the Queen to be in possession of the letter sent from Slavorussian officials to the Swedish government following the preliminary attacks of the Swedish Armed Forces. During his fit of panic, he stabbed the Queen three times with a letter-opener, leaving her for dead as he made his escape out of the window within the chamber. Fortunately, a loyal member of the Royal Guard caught him and brought him to custody. While we mourn for the injury of our Queen at this hour, more dire action needs to be taken to stop what has already occurred. On the authority vested in me by the Queen of Sweden, I hereby condemn the 73 high-ranking individuals in the Swedish Armed Forces that engaged in this conspiracy and demand their return to Sweden immediately for trial by the highest-ranking court of the nation, to be observed by the loyal members of the government that remain, and the Queen herself. Alongside this, I demand all Swedish troops cease their fire on Finnish and Slavorussian targets, and that all naval and air assets of the Kingdom return to their bases immediately. The only naval assets allowed to remain in the open Baltic Sea are LSTs. With that same authority, I also request a meeting with the Finnish government to discuss an immediate ceasefire on both sides of the Front, and hopefully, a peaceful solution with which we can exit this charade. Thank you, and good night."

------

Scattered Areas of Finland

------

The broadcast would be relayed to Swedish air and land forces, by which superiors in both respective branches would adhere to the speech on par with a royal proclamation. Although not all companies of the land forces would receive it or gain word immediately, almost all Swedish troops ceased their fire after several hours. Fighters and bombers of the Flygvapnet would begin their return to various home bases in sovereign Swedish territory after receiving the transmission, a journey would would take several hours as well.

------

Baltic Sea

------

The ships of the 1. Flotten that were still serviceable would make their way back to their ports in Sweden, although the HMS Svealand and several ships to protect her would remain in the area until the next course-of-action for the immobile ship could be determined. Planes on both carriers that had already lifted off the deck would make their way to air bases and airports if neccessary, back home. Landing Ship Transports would remain in place alongside the HMS Svealand and her 2 remaining corvette escorts to ensure that orders were complied with.

Finnish Declaration
While we have seen improvements in our relations with the Swedish Kingdom, we will not enter negotiations for anything until all Swedish forces are removed from Finnish sovereign territory.
Respecting the Swedish ceasefire, we will also halt aggressive military actions. We await your complete departure from Finland.

Troops still inland would return to the LSTs as they pulled up to the shoreline from the Baltic Sea. The evacuation of the remaining Swedish troops, those that hadn't been killed by one way or another, would take several hours. Commanding officers and Non-commissioned officers would take charge of the situation and do last-minute accountability to get an idea of those who went MIA or were killed/wounded in the field. After that lengthy process was complete and the last Swedish soldier was on-board one of the LSTs, it would make it's way back to landing points in Stockholm where the soldiers would be transported home for the moment.

They needed a holiday, and Sweden wasn't going to require a large military force any further.

Private statement from the Office of the Prime Minister to Torun and Sweden:
We have been pulled into a war by your two countries. Finland has been generous. Unfortunately Russian generosity does not run deep with those that have shown hostility toward us. Because of your actions we call on Sweden and Torun to subject themselves to punitive terms. The terms will decided during peace talks and both attacking parties will have a say. However if you refuse then, on the basis of our military doctrines Torun and Sweden’s military infrastructure shall be completely annihilated and much harsher terms will be dictated to you.

Private Statement, Swedish Provisional Government
From the desk of Andreas Karlsson (to Slavorussia)

Due to the irrevocable destruction and the nature surrounding the unapproved invasion of Finland, and the subsequent damage of Slavorussian property and loss of life, punitive terms will be viewed acceptable. As for the damages committed to the Finnish state, as well as Slavorussian military bases, compensation at proportionate to the total value of loss should be paid by our government as reparations. Although other terms may arise during the actual peace conference beyond something relative to this, I believe the term idea I stated would be viewed acceptable by the majority of the those loyal to the Queen in the government, and Her Majesty herself, of course.

The war with Torun and Sweden had cooled sine both countries agreed to back out of the war. Sweden had nearly reached an agreement with Finland and Slavorussia. Torun on the other hand had not secured peace with Slavorussia and by all accounts didn’t want to. The Prime Minister could not allow such a loose end to keep threatening Slavorussia.

As the dusk fell over Europe military helicopters with spetsnaz assassination squads landed in the fields outside of Torun. Dressed as civilians and carrying forged Torunian citizenship papers the spetsnaz had to slip past Germanic Union checkpoints to successfully enter Torun. They had perfected their mastery of the language so far so that not a hint of Russian accent was present when they spoke.

After landing they divided into teams of two and crossed the border at different points paying close attention to avoid Germanic units.

Once behind enemy lines their mission was to assassinate Torunian military officers, outspoken politicians or anyone that might push for continuing the war against Slavorussia. Armed with Dragunov sniper rifles and explosives they watched their targets closely. Men and women with significant influence in Torun whose deaths would intimidate the people higher in the chain of command to capitulate.

The agents stalked their prey with unbridled patients. Assassinations occurred at public speaking events, outside public and government buildings and in rare cases at the homes of the targets. Car bombs were an effective way assassinate people and send a strong message. On one occasion outside the assassins attached a remote detonated explosive to the bottom of a Torunian businessman’s town car and as it pulled away from the curb with the business man inside the bomb detonated.
----------

Shortly before midnight the following day Ministry of Defense’s Department of Cyberwarfare and Defense launched a powerful software program to disrupt Torun’s early warning capabilities. They inserted the virus into the Torunian’s central system to shut down the power grid and force a blackout thereby disrupting their ability to respond to an aerial attack. Minutes later an air wing based in out of the Kirov AFB launched into the skies.

The military made the decision to warn the Germanic Union of an impending attack on Torun by Slavorussian forces only after the power grid had been disabled, giving them a little time to warn the Torunian government if they chose to do so, but not enough to stop the attack. An official notice signed by the Prime Minister would be slipped to the German ambassador in Moscow and his Russian counterpart in Berlin would hand a faxed copy to the German government.

With their allies notified the General Staff hoped that the Germans wouldn’t try to stop the operation. The bombers acquired their targets; military facilities, air defense and launch platforms, and government facilities. Among them was the Torun Town hall which the air force intended to strike as a message to all Torunian. They preceded to launch their long range cruise missiles just as they reached the border between German Lithuania and Belorussia. The missiles screamed like banshees as they flew through the sky at mach speeds and collided with their targets. The ground underneath Torun shook as missiles aimed at crippling the military exploded.

As the air wing returned to base a second wing took off from another location. They attacked the same locations that had just been hit with more long range missiles. The bombings continued throughout the night and would continue for days, weeks or even months until the enemy capitulated.

Message from the Kingdom of Cochin

To: Germanic Union
Finland
Slavorussia
Sweden

As you may know several Cochin industries were working on building the port city of Sokol whose safety and security were flouted by Torun in such a brazen manner. We request Germanic Union and its allies to facilitate the relief and escape of the Cochin citizens trapped in the war zone. Liaison officers from Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of External Affairs is being dispatched to all concerned nations. Cochin is not a party to this war and are completely neutral. We only wish that you spare a thought for our trapped citizens who are at the moment trying their hardest to escape from the annihilation that is befalling Sokol.

Yours,

HH Kerala Varma,
The King of Cochin.

"Thank you. We'll handle it ourselves in case that confused angry Torunians might be willing to try something against Finnish-Flagged ships though, in this chaotic situation we'd rather risk getting hit ourselves."

Sokol is occupied by a Germanic Infantry Division, finding for the most part utter devastation after the area had been fiercely struck. Once that the area is secured, rescue crews arrive in numbers to save everyone they can, anyone they might find under the rubble.

The Cochin citizens found are taken to a hospital if needed and sent to Cochin as soon as possible once that it is safe, those found dead have their remains sent.

"If you would provide us privately with a list of Cochin Citizens in the area it would greatly aid rescue and identification efforts."
