All Foreign trade relations have been cut expect with the Continental Empire of Dalmatia and Germany. Bohemian Authorities have banned all media from other countries such as video games, television, internet, newspapers, and goods by the orders of his Imperial Majesty. All Foreigners, except those of Dalmatia and Germany, have been expelled. All European influences which are not of Nordic ideals are banned. Finally all borders are closed to Foreigners. His Imperial Majesty has anticipated the reaction of other nations and justifies his actions by stating that he only wishes to expand and preserve the culture, environment, and identity of Bohemia within Bohemia. In his own words [i]"Given enough time, any person can conquer the physical. With enough strength, any person may become wise. But it takes a true warrior to master both. I must teach this philosophy, to my people."[/i] Citizens of Bohemia who are curently away from Bohemia have been given the option to stay in their current state or return to Bohemia to join the cultural revolution. With the advice of Government members, random Bohemian Citizens, and Imperial Advisers the Emperor has remoulded the Government into a Ancient form of rule. His Majesty has created various small Chiefdom's and larger territories owned by Warlords(Jarl's). Each Chief or Warlord has a certain amount of Independence. They govern over day-to-day affairs in their own territory such as gathering taxes, infrastructure development, and carrying out the law. The Chief or Warlord also has the responsibility of drilling, training, and mobilizing military forces in their territory. Every month for 7 days the Chiefs and Warlords gather to discuss national and international issues in the Althing or Alþingi. Such issues could be about Foreign Policy, Internal Administration, or feuds between Warlords and Chiefs. The Emperor presides over the Althing and has the last say in all issues. The Consul's of Internal Affairs, Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Military act independently of the Althing when the Althing is not in session. When the Althing is in session the Consul's carry out what is decided by the Althing and the Emperor. The Emperor/Empress continues to be the Supreme Authority in the land. He or She has Supreme Authority over the Chiefs, Warlords, and Althing. The Emperor/Empress also receives Diplomats and grants Chiefs and Warlords their lands and title. The Emperor/Empress can also remove Chiefs and Warlords from their positions. The Emperor/Empress also has the responsibility of protecting Nordic Culture in Bohemia, and is the symbol of Bohemia's Nordic Culture. The workers were protesting about "Employees Rights". Many have been working in harsh conditions or had no rights at all, which has caused Domestic Disturbance time and time again as they tried to demand what they want. Finally the workers have achieved what they set out to do. Consul of Finance, Annbjörg Frej, introduced new legislation to be followed out by Employers and Employees. Reports of mass starvation and death from Liberec to Karlsbad have reached the common citizens of the nation. Authority's from all four region's have counted a combined death total of 1.6 million and rising. The Government is struggling to supply food to the population. There is simply not enough food flowing into Bohemia to make a difference, and large groups of people continue to stop and raid supply trucks which hinders the proper distribution of food to the people. However the police and military are working together to tackle this problem. The Emperor has distributed his own food supplies to the people, as has all the aristocracy, to help improve the situation, but however the situation continues to deteriorate. The cause of this famine is over-population. Over the recent years the nation continuously expanded, especially with the arrival of German citizens fleeing Germany's own population crisis. The growth of the economy also led to continued population growth as more and more people had money to spend to sustain larger families. Bohemia also grew it's own food, therefor sustaining itself without importing food from foreign nations. But as the population expanded, less and less land was available for farming placing a strain on food production. The Emperor is asking for relief aid from other nations as soon as possible to stop the death of millions of people. Government Official's claim the reason for the speedy end to the Famine was due to the fact that the population of Bohemia dropped from 7 million to 5.4 million. More food became availible with less mouths to feed, resulting in larger stocks of food, which was distributed to the remaining 5 million Bohemians. The People and Government have learned a valuable lesson from this tagic event. The Government is currently expanding the food production sector of the economy. Grants have been given to farmers to expand their farms, and to invest in new crops which can help stabilize population growth in the future, and to continue producing food for the many citizens still in need of food. The people of Bohemia are rebuilding their lives after this tragic event, as is the government repairing the country. Emperor Mannerheim declared, among the many refugee's being fed and housed in his Imperial Palace, that he is: [i]"Disappointed with the reaction to the famine from neighbouring nations. They are also responsible for state security. The Organization for the Protection of the Nordic Regime(OPNR) hunts down and if necessary "removes" opponents to the regime. Anyone suspected of conspiracy, terrorism, anti-Nordic actions, and/or conspiring with foreign nations will be arrested and brought to trial. Those suspected will be given a "proper" trial, and a fair opportunity to prove their innocence. The Emperor and his government will not tolerate unlawful and treasonous actions.
