Most highly esteemed Sirs,
My city as a whole has reached its zenith of power as we currently stand, and our gaze stands open towards the seas. We request of you a simple endeavour, The Germanic Union under Lord Dierik Martens has given our nation the option to build a port and city by the sea at the mouth of the Vistula River. We have chosen the name Sokół for the city, now it's your opportunity to build our city by the sea.

The Sobieszewo Island to the North West of Gdansk has a total area of 34.3 square kilometers. Such an area in itself wont be able to accommodate all the requirements of the city for 1.5 Million residents. The city would need for its geographical extents up to Suchy Dab in the south and Stegienka in the East for a total area of 312 square kilometers. Permitting that the whole city could be built in a well planned manner. The Gdansk Bay region of the Sobieszewo Island, ie its North Western end would be developed into the Naval Base with a Naval Air Station. The river banks of the Vistula rivers would be the principal residential areas with the business district confined to the Sobieszewo Island. A riverine transportation service would also be incorporated for passenger and transport services on the two river branches. The mouth of Vistula river North North West of Mikoszewo would be developed into the Commercial port so that it can be linked withe riverine traffic to the rest of Torun.

The 25 square kilometers of Sobieszewo would be the business and corporate district. Of the 312 square kilometers total area, Cochin Chamber of Commerce will develop 265 Square Kilometers. Around 11 square kilometers would be required for the commercial airport cum Airforce Base to be built near Trzcinico, 10 square kilometers of commercial port near Mikoszewo, 18 sqkm of dedicated industrial zone at the southern edge of the city along the two banks of the river and fully 190 square kilometers of residential areas and support infrastructure. The residential areas would be divided into 190 blocks of 1 square kilometer each in area, with each block capable of providing housing and facilities to 9000 residents. 90 blocks would be in the Western end of the City and the rest 100 blocks would be towards the Eastern end of the city. Twenty blocks along the river front would be the Medium aka Luxurious residential area. The coastal belt of the Sobieszewo Island would be the elite residential area.

The designs have been made with a view towards optimum allocation of resources and spaces with in all 47 sq. kilometers devoted to future expansion projects.

Each residential block would have a central park and recreation area, with a larger natural reserve for every 10 blocks. The civic amenities would be distributed throughout the city with no central base.

If the tentative plans are approved, Cochin Chamber of Commerce would submit the list of contractors for each phase of the work.

The construction on the city has now started in earnest with ground breaking happening at the major infrastructural points like the Commercial Port, Airport and Naval Base. The land around Mikoszewo is now one very large construction yard with various companies having built their own fabrication yards. The Trancontinental Freight Carriers have set up a road logistics route apart from the rail and maritime logistics route. Despite the ongoing war in North America and Europe, the construction of this city would continue without hinderance.

The massive logistics endeavor to build the Sokol City in Torun is principally centered around Jimsar in Xinjiang and Mandvi in Gujarat. Vast amounts of industrial and construction raw materials are being assembled at massive yards in these areas from where they would be transported to Torun. While Mandvi is the shipping hub for this project, Jimsar is the truck and rail hub.

Transcontinental Freight Carriers, the single largest freight logistics conglomerate in Cochin as the main trucking contractor has a truly phenomenal work to do. A transit of nearly 7000 kilometers through Vaule, Germanisk Forbund and Slavorussia would be done over a period of two weeks from Jimsar to Sokol. Each truck leaving Jimsar would reach Sokol on the 14th day with at least 500 kms to be covered per day. Around 100 trucks leave Jimsar per day so that 100 truck loads reach Sokol from the 15th day onwards. A total fleet strength numbering more than 3000 trucks are ready at the massive yards near Jimsar. While these 3000 trucks belonging to TFC and subcontracted by TFC to other trucking companies in Cochin, Vaule and other neighboring nations are involved in the transportation to and fro Jimsar and Sokol at least 3000 trucks have been contracted out from Europe to participate in the daily activities of Sokol City. This trucking is also supplemented by the rail borne logistics through the cooperation sought with Vaule, Germanisk Forbund and Slavorussia. At least 4 trucks are dispatched per day carrying 100 wagons of goods at 6 hours of interval to complete a single run from Jimsar to Sokol in 7 days. Thus around 60 locomotives and 6000 cargo wagons are assembling at Jimsar for the transportation run.

Meanwhile at Jimsar those cargoes too large or bulky for trucks or trains are waiting to be loaded onto an armada of container ships and freighters belonging to and subcontracted by the Varuna Mercantile Limited. With a sailing distance of 15000 kms or 7000 NM each ship would take at least a month to sail through the Suez canal, Mediterranean Sea and English channel to reach Sokol. With one ship being sailed out every 8 hours, at least 180 ships are expected to take part in this mass shipping convoy.

At Sokol the various construction companies are investing massively into local economies, not only of Torun but also of Germanisk Forbund, Norsvea, Athens , Austria etc. Millions of Cochin Rupees worth of businesses would be placed for supply of food, entertainment for the workers as well as sourcing of construction raw materials.

In short the construction of the City of Sokol for Torun by the Kingdom of Cochin will greatly contribute to a resurgence of European economy especially in the current war conditions.

In an emergency meeting convened by Cochin Chamber of Commerce at the insistence of Torun representatives and attended by all the construction vendors some weighty decisions were made which would change the entire pace and tempo of the construction of Sokol. Instead of the initial plan of 18 and 25 storied apartment complexes, Sokol would have massive 110 storied apartments, with 80 floors above grounds and 30 floors underground. This is in view of increased residential requirements for the city. This revised requirement is to cater to an expected population increase from 1.5 Million residents to 50 Million residents in the city of Sokol.

With this revised construction plans the urban transportation contractor Junker Corporation has also been required to build a multi tiered transportation network which depends on a triple layered transportation solution with roads, mass rapid transit and railway lines in three levels - subterranean ( at a depth of 30 meters), ground level and elevated ( at a height of 30 meters). These three networks would be offset geographically for redundancy in safety. At least 10 access towers would be built per block for inter level traffic.

Since the additional requirement has come in the preparatory phase itself there would not be any conflict of designs.
