"Well, let us begin" McCraw said sitting down. I have been asked by my government to issue you with this list of demands:
PEACE TERMS
- Blue Heaven’s military will disband. When it re-forms it will be limited to 10,000 men and will not have any tanks. The Air force will be limited to 30 fighters and 20 bombers.*
- All of Blue Heaven held Nunavut will be annexed by the Commonwealth of Canada.
- A 50 kilometre strip of land inside the Blue Heaven border will be completely de-militarised.*
- The Commonwealth of Canada agrees to defend Blue Heaven if it is attacked.
- A term marked with an asterisk (*), may be broken if attacked.
- Any breach of the terms, except in the situation mentioned above, will result in a declaration of war on Blue Heaven by the Commonwealth of Canada.
- These terms will last for 5 years, when they will be reviewed by the Althing of Canada.

"The first, second and third terms are unacceptable. Blue Heaven has a population of 300 million people, our military is 300,000 people (most of whom are reservists), that is 10% of the population. We need our military to be this large. However, we will agree to increase our military to no more than 300,000. The second term is unacceptable as Nunavut is historically Blue Heaven territory, while we have attacked you, we have not proven ourselves incapable of controlling our territory. However, we will agree to a mutual 50 km border DMZ," said Roger Smith.

"No." McCraw replied. "We will accept an army limited to 300,000 with no tanks, a limited airforces as stated, no navy apart from small partol boats. We feel that we cannont trust Blue Heaven to properly respond to a situation, therefor, we demand, at least, the annexation of the land ceded to you previously and a DMZ only in Blue Heaven."

"And we refuse. We will not play games with the security of our nation, nor will we give up land that is historically ours. We don't even have a navy. We will agree to a mutual 50 km DMZ."

"And we will not play games with the security of ours!" McCraw retaliated. "Most of the people in Canada are screeming for Blue Heaven blood after the attack on St. John's. As far as i'm concerned this war can continue until we reach your capitol and burn it to the ground!" McCraw leand back in his seat. "You have our demands. I think we should take a short recess, i need to speak with my government."

As if burning the capital would be such a simple task. The Vikings were already reorganizing themselves for further operations, rather, they were pretty much done. War was their business, after all, and only over their dead bodies would they shy away from war if it should keep going.

Weapons are cleaned, swords sharpened, supplies ready...

"We did nothing of the sort!" replied Smith as McCraw turned to leave. "I will gladly hand over to your government all communications with Department 5600, we did not gas St. John's. Period!"

"As though we could trust you, to hand over evidence incriminating you. It’s ridiculous." McCrae retaliated. He entered a room off the main hall, where he called the Committee of Defence.

----------------

After a short while he returned. He didn’t bother to sit back down. “I have spoken to my government. We have revised our demands; annexation of formerly ceded territory, 50km de-militarised zone inside Blue Heaven, limiting of the Blue Heaven army to 10,000 active and up to 290,000 reserve personnel, limiting the air force to 30 fighters no bombers and the payment of reparations totalling up to 390 billion Canadian dollars. This is no longer a negotiation, you will accept the terms or you will be destroyed.”

"I have said that the DMZ and annexation of what was historically our land is unacceptable. I am willing to sit down with your leadership and talk face to face about this. How about instead of a 50 km DMZ a 25 km DMZ. no annexation of our historical lands, and the army shall remain as you wish?

I am honestly trying to be reasonable, it is you who are not willing to talk this out."

"I'm affraid sitting down with our leadership will be quite impossible, as the entire population is a collective leader." A soldier walked over to McCraw and handed him a phone. "Sir?...are you sure...yes sir." McCraw hung up the phone. "The Committee of Foreign Affirs would like you to fly to St. John's for a more formal meeting." The Blue Heaven reprasentatives were ushered out to the Baker Lake Airstrip and boarded a Canadain 747 which would fly them to St. John's to meet with the newly elected leaders members of the Committee.

The BLue Heaven reprasentatives were escorted to the committee chamber in the Capitol building in St. John's. There they met with Co-ordinator of Foreign Affairs, Nathan Campbell, and the committee of foreign affairs. "Mr. Smith, I would like to apologise for the turmoil, recent ellections inhibited any of us from meeting with you at Baker Lake. The Althing has agreed to new terms drawn up by this committee, I think that you will find them acceptable." Campbell said as he sat down after shaking the Prime Ministers hand. "The terms agreed to by the Althing are the following; a mutual 50km DMZ (25km into each nation), the payment of 20 billion dollars to the Canadain Government to cover the cost of lost aircraft and equipment, A joint investigation into the cause of the terrorist attack on Blue Heaven and the biological attack on St. John's and finaly a mutual defence agreement to stabilize the security of North America."

"I would be more than willing to accept that along with a formal peace treaty to end the war," replied Roger.

We have a treaty already drawn up
The Treaty of St. John’s

Article 1: End of Hostilities
All belligerents agree to cease any and all hostile action against one another, including; military action, ‘deniable’ operations and espionage.

Article 2: De-Militarised Zone
Both parties agree to withdraw all military personnel to position 25km away from the land border; this area will remain de-militarised for 5 years. This article may be broken if one or both of the parties become involved in a conflict.

Article 3: War Guilt
The Canadian government confirms and the Blue Heaven government accepts the responsibility of Blue Heaven for causing all damage to which the Canadian government and her citizens have been subject as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Blue Heaven.

Article 4: Reparations
The Blue Heaven government agrees to pay for damages to the Canadian military in an amount totalling to 32 billion Canadian dollars, to be paid off over a period of 4 years.

Article 5: a: Mutual Defence
Both parties recognise that an attack on one is an attack on the other, and therefore will provide any and all requested support be it military, financial, or political. This obligation is moreover conditional to wars whereby one of the signatories to this pact is an initial point within the overall conflict, or otherwise participating within a coalition that was itself initially defensive, and not the aggressor within the war.

Article 5: b: Cancellation of Mutual Defence

Should either nation come to decide that they no longer wish to be bound by Article 5, it may be cancelled at any point. However its articles will remain in effect for 42 hours after either private or public notification of the activation of Article 5: b.

Article 6: Cancellation
If articles 1, 2, 4, or 5(a) are broken then the Treaty will be cancelled and a declaration of war submitted to the offending party. This treaty will last for a period of 5 years were it will be reviewed by both parties.

Signed for the Commonwealth of Canada,
The National Althing of Canada

Signed for Blue Heaven

Roger Smith came back into the room with a bright smile on his face. "Parliament has accepted the peace treaty and all my government has to do is sign it."

"excellent, now I belive this has concluded negotiations, if you excuse me..." the Co-ordinator stepped out side, he withdrew a lighter from his back pocket, and pulled out, what appeared to be a cigarette. he sat down and began to smoke, as soon as he exhailed one thought crossed his mind, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

OOC: Awesome!

IC:

The Viking chiefs were positively surprised and amazed. They could again make Vinland their home! They start working on the task right away, buying construction materials from the local country. Soon a series of viking banners start to show up around the region, alongside many little forts and a myriad of docking facilities.

"We are very thankful for this and as a token of our appreciation we will assist your country for free if it should ever find itself troubled."
