Roger Smith came on the screen:

"Seeing as how the government of the Commonwealth of Canada attacked us recently, I, with the backing of Parliament, declare war on the Commonwealth of Canada."

***Private***

As this was going on, the 1st-3rd Infantry Divisions were moving in as well as the 1st and 2nd Airborne were jumping 50 miles into the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth of Canada, hereby recognises a state of war to exist between it and Blue Heaven. We give them 1 chance to withdraw their forces from Canadian territory. The alligations made against the Canadian government and people are completely false.

Half an hour after the decloration of war, 5 E-5 Sentry AEW&Cs had begun patrolling the area. Now, 20 canadian AC-77A multi-role stealth aricraft, entered the 'area of operations'. The AC-77As all carried 8 GBU-27 Paveway IIIs on their interior hardpoints. Their objective was to hit Blue Heavens RADAR and anti-air defences, opening the area up for more operations. As soon as the air-defence network was taken out B-1B Lancer bombers and SF-6 ground attack aircraft would hit the Blue Heaven forces moving into Canada.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Battalion, Nunavut Regiment moved down the highway from Igloolik. Their objective was to make contact with enemy forces. They had recived word that paratroopers had landed somewere inside the region, but they didn't have any specific intelligence. The Labrador Regiment was already deploying at CFB Ingloolik, with the Canadian Dragoons, the Armoured Regiment, the Artillary Regiment and the Newfoundland Regiment being ferried over by C-130 transports.

"Vi kommer fraan landet av isen och snö."

Vikings approach Canada and Blue Heaven. In great number, over 100k. Not as an uniform force, but as a "stream" reaching from the sea towards their primary port. However, their peace flag, not their war flag is raised. They are not there to plunder the territory, it would seem. They simply head towards Canada's main port while trying to avoid the ongoing conflict.

Herr Durr van Derp with his great Landing Ship soon docks and requests to speak to the Canadian Government.

"I have seen that your land has been attacked. You are outnumbered. Maybe we can help you out, for a price. The Chiefs have spoken and a large convoy of our people are headed this way, due to arrive within the next days, probably some ten viking divisions can be assembled...we also have six Fighters and twenty Panzers, then some fourty assorted support vehicles. Paying us might make the difference between being annexed by your foes and continuing to exist. What do you say?"

To the rest of the world, it just looked as if Vikings had come to take advantage of the local war economy: To try to buy for cheap nonessential items that might normally be expensive, and maybe try to sell food and essential things themselves. They were known to do this.

"So, Albert, what do we do now we have brought war to the Canadian territories?" asked Barney, leaning back in his chair and putting his feet on the desk infront of him.
"Prepare stage two. I want a man on the ground with the XX agent" he responded without looking back, staring intently down towards New Caens. All the tiny people busying themselves with their day to day chores and jobs. Insignificant.
"Albert are you sure? Ebolapox is highly dangerous, if it got out of control you could wipe out millions, I dont even want to think what would happen if it made it out of the country into another nation."
"Barney, I know. Make the arrangments."

The Templar boarded a large expedition ship which was due to make Port somewhere in the Canadian Commonwealth, the manifesto hadn't been delivered from the harbourmasters office. His clothes were significantly different from his normal attire. Whilst it was ten below in the open air, he was wearing a suit and tie, a donkey jacket, scarf and a woolen hat for warmth. It would suffice until he reached his destination.

All his travel details were kept in his inner left pocket. Passport, drivers licence, all forged by the wizards in the Fort. With any luck he would pass for a Canadian National returning from Blue Heaven due to the war.

Several hours later in his cabin the Captain came on the tannoy.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome aboard for this journey. We will be sailing across the Hudson bay through the northern straights and down through the Labrador sea, right down to the South Atlantic and Antarctica for this years South Pole expedition."

The Templar smiled to himself as he lay back in his bunk and looked at the white ceiling and closed his eyes.
"We'll see about that' he mumbled, rolling over onto his side and falling into a deep sleep.

Private Transmission to Blue Haven:

To those it may concern,

On behalf of the Soldanian Military High Command, we would like to request something. Recently we have formed a new elite unit, known as S.P.A.R.T.A.N. Unfortunately thus far they have only experienced our training missions and exercises and have had no suitable situation to use their skills or experience the stress and feel of real combat. To this end, we wish to request the sending of our entire S.P.A.R.T.A.N force to your country to fight alongside your own troops. Consider this also as an act of our friendship and national sentiment to you side of this plight. We wish to have this force distributed throughout your own forces and they will be under your command for the duration of their tour BUT we do hold to ultimate authority to recall our forces should they be put into circumstances we see unjustified.
This whole deal is to provide our new troops with experience and see what they can do when it comes down to it. If you could provide us with an answer whether permission or denial, it would be much appreciated.

50 miles in the Commonwealth

The 1st and 2nd Combat Brigades of the 1st Airborne began to fan out,, with the 1st CB going east and the 2nd CB going west. Their main goal was to hold off any enemy forces until the rest of the main force caught up with them and to capture any strategic roadways or towns. They would do their best to remain silent and keep low.

Entering into the Commonwealth

The 1st Recon Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Combat Brigade of the 1st Infantry began moving northward to scope out the enemy. After having gone about 10 miles, they spotted the enemy regiment and called in an airstrike and an artillery strike to pound the area.

Blue Heaven Northern Coastline

The 9th Light Infantry Division, 4th Air Wing, 5th Infantry Division,8th Airborne Division, 7th Light Infantry Division, 3rd Air Wing, 11th Infantry Division, 6th Airborne Division, and the 8th Infantry all set up heavily fortified positions that were interconnected through a series of passage ways. The first layer of defense were sea and land mines, laid across the entire length of the coast line, yet painted the color of the sea/sand and safely hidden. The mines were 2 miles deep. The second layer, 4 miles in. were bunker fortifications where machine gunners and soldiers were. 20 miles away were the artillery howitzers and tanks and 30 miles in was where the Command HQ was located.

OOC: On the coast there are a total of 70,000 infantry soldiers.

The Templar jumped ship in St Johns during a last minute stop to pick up some more supplys. His details, all forged were presented to the St Johns Port authority who let him through without hindrance. Getting a taxi to the main trainstation he booked a room in a local motel for the night so he could work in peace.

Inside his briefcase there were two large containers of Ebolapox, one of the deadliest biological agents known to man. The manner of distribution in the form of two airfreshner cans with mechanical timers. Once the timer ran out they would begin to spray the virus in the surrounding area(s).

His plan was to set the timers to begin the release in the evening rush hour when everyone is trying to get home from work. His targets were the main subway station and its air circulation system and an airport terminal at check in.

It would take several hours for him to prepare the packages without causing a spillage in his room or accidently detonating them.

IC:

Due the to Canadian air attack, 10 air defense installations had been taken out and two fighter planes had been downed. In response to this, soldiers in nearby Air Force bases came out with shoulder-launched Stingers, ready to take out any aircraft.

***50 miles in the Commonwealth***

The firefight had been brief and only 10 soldiers had died, yet the commanders knew that there was more to come and continued on with their mission.

Several Hours later, St Johns international airport

The Templar, a faceless man in a crowd joined the throng of people in the check terminals, hundreds of people going about their lives. In his rucksack, he carried the first device, a change of clothes and his fake passport, which so far had gained him entry to all areas of the airport that civilians could go. He could feel his stomach begin to knot before he doubled over in pain.

'No, no no no! I was so carefull!' he hissed to himself through clenched teeth as he straightened up and hobbled his way to the bathrooms.

He stumbled into the bathrooms feeling dazaed and dehydrated as he lowered himself to the throne and emptied his bowels. Something wasnt right, and looking down between his legs he could see flecks of blood in the bowl. He was doomed to die, but he would take as many people as he could with him. If he was already extreting blood it meant he had been exposed to it for at least twelve hours. That gave him another thirty six hours tops to plant the device in the subway.

He didnt bother flushing, but he did fill the u-bend with toilet roll to block it, which would in turn, force somebody to reach in and unblock it. Even if they used a plunger, the tool would be contaminated and how many other toilets would it unblock? how much more contamination and poo backsplash would the toilets endure causing countless more infections to arriving passengers, and departing.

He quickly changed into some maintenance overalls he rented from a store on the way to the airport, at a passing glance they would pass for real staff but if somebody took a vested interest there could be some issues. He made his way to the airports maintenance tunnels and found his way to the air vent system entrance.

Giving the top of the can a twist to activate the timer, he removed the vent covering and slid the canister deep into the vent to avoid detection. He resealed the vent and left the airport. But not before running back to the john to re-empty his bowels.

The cab took him to St Johns main subway station. He arrived at around midnight and his condition had deteriorated significantly over the few hours it had taken him to get there. The subway was deathly silent as he made his way down the hallways, staggering and vomitting blood and other stomach contents onto the floors and the walls. Finally he found the ventelation control room and made his way inside. Twisting the canister he threw it down the shaft, deep into the darkness where it came to rest infront of a fan which gently rotated pushing air into the entire subway network.

The Templar made it back out onto the street before he fell to the floor unconscious, burning up with a fever. His pants were soiled with feces and blood and he was heaving, spewing sick, blood and other fluids onto the street. He would survive for perhaps three more days if he had hospital care.

At 8am in the morning, St Johns would suffer.

It may have seemed like it, but the air defenses were far from knocked out. The air defenses that had been knocked out were replaced with soldiers armed with Stingers and the 5-7th Air Wings were already in the sky, waiting for the enemy.

"Very well we can certainly do that. But, are you sure that you might not want to purchase the service of our own infantrymen as well during the operation? The enemy does seem to have a numerical advantage. In any case, we'll make the arrangements..."

van Derp's monetary advisor would give out several account numbers to transfer the money to before the operation began. It was a steep price, however, not a ridiculous and unnafordable one, especially taking into consideration that it might be the country's salvation.

The AC-77As engaged the Blue Heaven aircraft from 148km out with 40 AIM-54 Pheonix AAMs, enough to clear the skys, if they all hit. If there were stil Blue Heaven Aircraft, they would be engaded with AIM-120 AMRAAMs. The SF-6 aircraft begun an attack on the Airborne troops advancing across the tundra. They dropped 40 Mark 77 Napalm bombs on the lead elements of the advance, impeeding their progress and frying anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the flames. The B-1Bs dropped their Mark 84 bombs along the advance of the airborne units. They then proceded to the border were they dropped 350 Mark 81 bombs on the Blue Haven infantry advancing over the border. Total losses inclue 2 AC-77As, 3 Sf-6s and 3 B-1Bs.

The Templar was left to die In an allyway nearby. He had managed to stagger into the ally before passing out finally and succumbing to the virus, it was much more potent that he thought. His skin blistered and covered itself in postules and scabs, his skin colour took that of an almost black colour as he bled internally on a massive level. He died quietly but in alot of pain.

7am passed and the canisters activated their final stages of distribution. The subway filled up with thousands of commuters and the airport gradually packed itself out with people as 7:59am arrived in the mechanical timers.

8am arrived and the thousands of people noticed nothing different as they went to work in the morning rush hour. The canisters released the toxin at 8 on the dot and it flooded the vent systems of both targets, reigning sown invisible death to the airport terminal and the subways.

Those people were were not infected initially were infected later throughbthe bustling crowds, constant skin contact, the air people breathed out had a chance of being toxic to anybody close enough.

Throughout the day the number of infected would increase through offices, hospitals and other public services. Schools, nurseries and colleges. Even the night shifts at work would contract the disease from the previous shift touching everything, coughing on objects, everyday objects.

In the six hour working day, most of the city would be infected IF Weskers planning had worked perfectly, it wouldn't be known until the first reports came out.

The Vikings go back to their ships and get ready to sail once that the goods have arrived to the accounts. They do not mind risking in spite of having the money already, if some of them die, it just means that the slices of the cake are bigger. Besides, they have a reputation...

A bloody reputation. Several hundreds of ships, mostly lightly armed with either sets of heavy machineguns or tank guns placed onto improvised yet suitable turrets, and their "Mothership", van Derp's own Landing Ship, good enough as that of any other naval power. The ships are many, and in fact the forces seem to be twice as big as they are due to many ships being crude, empty "shields". In spite of the many vikings, there is still plenty of room for Canadian troops, they will be able to mobilize their divisions comfortably in the main Landing Ship.

St. JohnÂ’s Newfoundland

The Virus had already begun to spread. Hospitals were full of people all with the same symptoms. With its rapid spread the Althing had ordered the quarantine of St. JohnÂ’s, but hundreds of Thousands would still die. Anthony McGraw sat listening intently at the meeting of committees.
“The truth is we don’t know what it is, it seems to have similarities to the Ebola virus, but we don’t know. Any one of us could be infected, hence the quarantine. Casualty projections are 450,000 plus…” The co-ordinator of health, was saying.
“Do we know how this got here? Was it terrorism or biological warfare?” one of the committee members said.
“No we don’t know that yet, but I’m willing to believe that it was Blue Heaven. I propose we escalate the war, begin strategic bombing of their cities and a counter attack with Task Force Arrowhead, as well as black ops with JTF2.” McGraw said, looking around for approval.

Operation Brave Ocelot
3,000 feet above Hudson Bay

Master Corporal Michael Argall sat next to his CO near the rear door of the C-130. It was the Canadian Airborne Regiments first ever combat jump. They would parachute into the tundra around the town of Baker Lake, where they would set up defences around the Airfield and town, and await the rest of Task Force Arrowhead. The Regiment had left from CFB Wabush some 3 hours ago, they flew across Hudson Bay, where a squadron of AC-77As had moved in with GBU-27 Paveway IIIs to hit the RADAR and anti-air emplacements, opening the way for the C-130s.

A total of 200 soldiers were lost, yet the 1st Airborne had to continue their operations. It was decided to deploy the 3rd Combat Brigade, 1st Airborne to the west and the 1st Combat Brigade, 2nd Airborne to the east to reinforce their allies. The 1st Infantry continued its push into the Commonwealth, with the 2nd Infantry being on hand in case anything occurred. They were now 10 miles into the Commonwealth.
