Some time after the UFE bombing

"Why are we doning this Steve? This will not go down well internationaly!" Rodger Burton was yelling at Steven McBadger, the AFS Minister of War. "As soon as the commie up north decleared war, they had the UFE threating them with war! Now were involved and we got bombed! And how the hell did you convince the opposition to go along with it!" Burton continued.

"Rodger, relax. Listen, we both know why we did this. Iron, coal, oil, gas! An unfathomable amount of resources the Pihanan's have yet to tap, and I assume, have no idea about! This will make us one of the most powerfull nations on earth, not militarily of cause, but we will certainly be an economic powerhouse." McBadger relpied, as cool as ever. "Thats why the capitalists support this, It is an excellent opportunity for them to invest after the wars over, that and I bribed half of them." he concluded chuckling smugly. "Any way, you need to get going, I have something important to take care of." McBadger said, getting up from behind his desk ad walking with Burton to the door.

Alex Hancock stood amougnst the crowed, people were chanting and yelling, loud and incoherently, voicing their hate for the man who had become a tyrant. A battalion of Riot police was standing in fromt of the council chambers, with their riot shields in a formidable wall. people were throwing rocks and molotov cocktails. Alex, along with almost everyone else was dressed in black, with a Guy Fawks mask. He was a VAW, a Veteran Against the War, having fought with the AVA 3 Brigade in the IPF-CA. He was only understanding why the Free Australian rebels fought, and died for their cause. As the riot continued and the protesters became more agitated, as group on the right of the bloc charged at the police, wielding bats and stones, this charge was "covered" by a hail of assorted projectiles from the rest of the protesters. The police retaliated with tear-gas and rubber bulets, but were only met with fierce determination by the crowed. The police bagan to advance on the crowed, as some of the last remaining military helicopters deployed troops from 2 Brigade to the scene. Everyone was in panic now, the bloc was faultering as the troops fired on them live ammunition, killing an wounding many. The protesters scattered, as the army troops and police bore down on them. Alex ran back to his flat, the VAWs had work to do.

It was the third morning of continuous protests, there were no police or reservists defending the NRC building where the Minister of War had taken office, they had joind the rebels. Instead there were one hundred and fifty heavily armed soldiers, with more on their way. However there was no shooting, no violance. instead the protesters simpily stood their and sung The Internationale. They began to march forward, slowly at first, but then they sped up. An officer barked an order and the men lined up thir rifles. Alex Hancock was at the fromt of the bloc, he was warring the guy fawks mask as was everyone. They continued to sing, never wavering as they soldiers fingers moved to the trigger. Another 20 feet to the line he though, swept up in the momentum of the moment.

"FIRE!" came the order. The men hesitated, "Fire!?" cam they cry again, one of the yound recruits squeezed the trigger on his rifle, and the hole line opened up. Alex when down, he felt a sharp pain in his gut. all he could here was gunfire and crys, and he felt the surg of people as they charged at the soldiers. Someone pulled him to the back from the and he was loaded into one of several awaiting ambulances.

As the line of soldiers comllapsed some droped their weapons, others were beten unconcious, and dragged away. THe people sureg forward, still signing, they charged into the NRC building flooding through the corridors and rooms. "Down with the bourgeois governemnt!" came a cry as they were met by more military personell, desperatly attempting to hold back the protesters. It was futile.

He could here them singing. McBadger looked over at General Nicholson. "They just dont understand..." he said to the general. "I'm doing thi for their benefit! when we take Pihana, we will all be rich!". The general looked at him, puzzled. "We can still do it, UFE, GTE all the same, neither have to balls to invade us!" he said laughing. He looked out the window of his office. "Shut those $%&@ers up!" he yelled. As the general left McBadger sat down in his favourate chair, he had it moved from the MoW building. He began typing a statement for the international forces.

Moments later he herd gunfire from out side. He looked out the window horrified at the carnage, and amazed by the protesters courage to charge theough the hail of led to reach the soldiers. "Oh $%&@" he said to himself as he fubled with the keys to his desk. "$%&@, $%&@, $%&@, $%&@, $%&@" more gunfire was heard now, as he reached into his draw. He withdrew an aging luger pistol. he raised it to his head and just as the rebels burst through the door, he pulled the trigger... nothing happend. He was pinned agianst the wall by two protesters and handcuffs weree slapped on his wrists.

"Steven McBadger, you are under arrest for Corruption and Crimes against the people of the Australian Free State."

Alex Hancock climbed up on a car as the crowed around celebrated. He took off his mask along with the rest of the crowed. Shots were being fired into the air in celebration of the people's victory. He was handed a megaphone, looked out at the crowed and said. "People of the Australian Free State! Today we have regained controll of our nation, of our lives! I think we can all agree that we need an immediate Althing to determine the rebuilding of our nation, VAW will also issue a call for cease-fire with the IPF, while we re-build our nation, agree?" The call was met with an astounding cheer. Alex looked over at the other VAW members and nodded his head. The revolution had one and the people were once agin in power.
