Midnight over Queensland would bring the arrival of the heavy guns of the UFE air forces. Four ALI-133 Super Heavy Bombers began strategic bombing of the military factories around Brisbane aiming to knock out the ability of the Communist Australia to maintain the equipment of an army on their own. All four bombers were loaded to their maximum capacity of over 130, 000 lbs of explosives. If SAT INT was correct the UFE would destroy almost the entire Brisbane military industrial complex while most citizens were in residential districts.

Meanwhile South of Norman around the highway 1 and highway 83 intersection V-22s, MH-60s, and Mi-28s would land unloading 3 marine companies to take up positions around the interchange and cut the highway and setup a forward logistic point.

Launching from the fleet carrier four CH-53 E super stallions moved in landing in Norman Airport unloading 37 troops from each transport seizing control of the airport, when an additional CH-53 E landed with a navy air traffic control team from the carrier to assume air traffic operations for the airport. Transmissions were sent to the GTE forces that a air strip for troop life had been secured.

Six AC-130s were launched from Guam towards Australia.

A number of strategic airlift transports that had been heading south from Singapore were diverted to the west, and would make the journey to Norman airport. The 2nd and 3rd Afghan Light Infantry Battalions, as well as portions of the Afghan Commando Battalion, and one hundred and eight former Free Australians, now known as "Bushmasters" were flown into the Norman Airbase. These aircraft would be escorted by Timuridian "Desert Eagle" fighters, which would be refueled in flight by Guzzler aircraft.

The total amount of combat troops that would be put on the ground would be close to 2,500 Timuridian soldiers by the time all the planes landed and disgorged their passengers.

People across the globe have been listening to these news for a long time. Some of those were the new Vikings, which had until now for the most part done simple trading, even though that sometimes ships close to theirs seemed to dissappear mysteriously. When they heard of the tension in Oceania, they began to sail towards the area from different directions, hoping to capture civilian ships trying to swim away from the whole war. However, by the time that the first groups started to arrive, it seemed that the country was under a fierce attack altogether.

That was just what they wanted to see. Like vultures, they begin to approach the coasts. Although in most cases every ship is for itself, when they find a nice target, some degree of collaboration exists. Eventually, Herr Durr van Derp's Landing Ship followed by a good amount of Modern Longships and medium-sized armored yet weaponless vessels are seen from Australia's coasts. They are using their Black Flag, and are here to pillage and plunder. First they send out a number of smaller, faster ships with just one or two crew members in order to serve as recons. One of the larger ships sends out a recon Biplane in order to bring pictures to the crews down below.

With their many banners, they will try and land on the coasts and on Brisbane proper. From two of the large ships, three more planes take off. Three are old yet well mantained Northern Germany era VTOL fighters, the other one is a bomber. For pirates, they seemed to be relatively well equipped. Manpower-wise, the total number of those who are arriving right now combined with those to arrive in a few hours was around 10k, approximately one division by Germanic Union standards for reference, however they did not perform as a division, but rather instead as a multitude of small guerilla groups.

Their radio and communication systems emmited constantly, "Resistance is futile and will be met with deadly force." in a monotonous, decided and metallic voice mixed into music such as the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzW8zGy72Ko

Gentleman's Gun and Rod Club of Northumbria Mothership Roma

"Go for broke gentlemen and god speed," Counti says as he gives the signal for the men and women under his command to leap into action. It is a simple plan really, nothing fancy, and depends entirely on speed and surprise.

Missile Boats Amazing, Baker, Charlie, and Dagger have additional forces loaded onto them in the form of boarding parties. The men of these boarding parties are from the highly trained forces brought from Legion by Chargin' Charlie Beckwith. Their ship had pulled in last night and the men had been crossdecked over to the Missile Boats along with their weapons. Each raiding party consists of sixteen men and a team of six specialists from Counti's forces who are competent at handling large ships.

The Missile Boats rev their powerful engines, click their weapons off safe, and point their hungry prows towards Brisbane harbor. Their time of departure will bring them into range of the shipping in the Brisbane area in the early hours of the morning in the darkest part of the night. Behind the missiles boats is a tired looking freighter. It peels off in another direction and heads deeper into the Coral Sea as it has an important mission of its own.

If a person was close enough they would see that the flag of the freighter has been changed to a Rebel Army flag. Further, they'd notice that the ship's name has been changed from the Goat to the Rebel Dream. The rear of the ship is equipped with a small but very fast boat that is equipped with a powerful pair of outboard motors. The ship itself has been stripped down to the very bulkheads of anything that might identify its original owners and loaded with several powerful demolitions devices. Behind this ship comes a third wave of raiders on very different ships.

A second ship has been prepared for yet a different mission. This is the attack on Brisbane for the purpose of acquiring wealth, women, and fame. The Mothership Benito Mussolini and its four riverine raiding vessels is towing a trio of armored landing vessels in its wake. The landing craft are heavily armored and each carry a landing team of fifty men. Using publicly available city maps the landing teams are tasked with fighting their way into Brisbane, looting a specific target, and retreating with the captured wealth. The targets are various high wealth shopping centers, banks, and such that are within a few blocks of the waterfront to avoid lengthy transit times.

The raiding parties will be arriving just as the sun comes up to avoid having to fight a night time engagement and will be supported with the firepower of the four riverine raiding craft, two MD-500 Scout Helicopters, and once the Missile Boats are free their firepower as well if needed. This force is followed by a fifth element which consists of two more Motherships.

Their missions are conventional ones for their type of ship. Their riverine raiders and helicopters are to crash their way up and down the coast and cause as much confusion and havoc as possible. They are to strafe targets of opportunity but are not to engage in a stand up fight with any Communist Australian forces that they encounter. The eight raiding craft and four helicopters are well loaded with munitions and even more importantly trained crew to pilot and fight them.

The Mothership Roma remains in reserve along with the rest of the provisioning ships and support craft. They are flying their forged Eggman Empire flags and ship's names. The ships going in are flying those colors as well, but are equipped with a second and third set of flags should they need to scatter. The men and women of the Gun and Rod Club are further equipped with papers, money, and civilian clothing in the event they are forced to evacuate overland to avoid capture by Communist Australian forces.

Rebel Dream, 2 hours later

Degrassi looks over at his Second Mate and says, "Alright that's the signal," as the flare from the Mothership Roma twinkles just over the horizon.

"Copy sir," the Second Mate says as he turns on the powerful transmitter that begins to scream and blare the following message.

"SOS.. SOS..SOS.. This is the Rebel Dream out of Rebel Army Territory.. SOS.. SOS.. SOS... This is the Rebel Dream out of Rebel Army Territory.. SOS..SOS..SOS.. We are under attack by Communist Australian Forces"

The message loops and repeats several times for five minutes when it is rudely interrupted by the final message of, "We are being attacked by Communist Australian raiders.. I repeat we are being attack.. no cancel that.. We are being boarded.. I repeat.. Oh my god.. They are killing people! HELP HELP... (background static.. gunfire.. screams for help.. more gunfire..) NO PLEASE NO!! DON... (gunshot..)"

Long before this message is sent Degrassi and the men in his crew slip away from the Rebel Dream as several loud explosions ripple up and down the sides of the ship and blow the bottom out of it. They turn their small craft away and bring the throttles to full as they travel quickly to make the rendezvous with the Roma which is quite the distance away.

Message from Marscurian Siberian Military High Command - Naval Division

Due to the terrorist actions perpetrated on an civilian cargo ship, it is necessary that the Marscurian Siberian Navy place a no-sail zone to all Communist Australian ships. Any ship flying under the Communist Australian flag will be given one warning to surrender at once to Marscurian Siberian naval forces and be piloted by our men to a neutral port, where it will remain. Should any ship decline, it will be fired upon and sunk without a second chance. Survivors will be taken aboard our ships and held as legitimate POWs, and will be treated according to the rules of war.

OOC: Plus as said before. Patriots are ABM not anti cruise missile defenses. The 1991 generation could not shoot down many of literally some of the worst ballistic missiles in service. Cruise missiles are much harder to hit, especially hypersonic ones. The efficacy of your patriot defenses are very low. We picked the weapons for this carefully.

Are you saying that you picked these weapons becuse of the AA/ABM shield? That is marked classified

OoC: Fair enough

With the Airforce completely destroyed, save one or two aircraft Minister of War Steven McBadger has issed a order for all fixed wing aircraft of the AVAF to remain grounded for the time being.

In the south the GTE Cruise missiles hit the Harpoon batteries, destroying all of the trucks. With the failure of the attack against the GTE fleet in the Bass Stright, members of the image board #chan have created a new meme for the occasion

King Island Airport

The "Bushmasters" moved forward quickly with the 12th Airmobile Battalion, there had been no resistance recorded between the landing zone and the airport, and the troops had progressively moved faster. As soon as they reached the airport, the troops radioed to the next series of helicopters, who began to deliver another load of forces right to the airport, including air traffic control staff. The next load of helicopters brought the small island invasion force up to over eight hundred soldiers.

Another signal was sent to RTAF air units incoming from a long haul from Singapore, which landed a "Skymaster" strategic airlifter carrying a generator and portable radar unit, which landed on the runway as soon as possible. Another "Skymaster" carrying two aircraft pulling tugs arrived right behind it, RTAF personnel began quickly disgorging from the transports. The Timuridian soldiers began quickly securing a perimeter around the airfield, as the RTAF got to work, "Berkut" and "Desert Eagle" stealth fighters had arrived, and had begun loitering over the island at medium altitude. Any attempt to stop work from air or ground at the King Island airport would be met with an air attack by thirty six fighters, an AWACS aircraft loitered inside of the protective circling fighters, providing radar coverage for a five hundred mile radius.

'Commander' Robert Abel smiled, as he breathed in the salty fresh morning air, and looked around the bustling airport, he was finally home, on the continent of this birth. Things were progressing well for the coalition forces, a missile attack on the Timuridian ships was a little disconcerting, but damage was reportedly light - thank God. He and his rebel forces, escorted by a few "Samael" Battalion special forces personnel, took up a position at an office below the airport control tower.

The flag of the Australian Free State that had flown on the airport's flagpole was taken down, to be replaced by another flag. Abel and his troopers had broken out a flag of the old Australia, which was raised into the soft morning breeze. As transports landed, the flag went out straight, revealing its full glory to some of the Timuridian soldiers who had gathered to watch the changing of the colors.

AVAFCOM, Canberra

"Sir, we got a report from one of the locals on King Island, GTE forces have landed and are securing it, buy the sound of it they are positioned around the airport, they knocked out comms, too, he left in a boat and sailed up to the Tassie." Lieutenant Michaelson reported to interm AVAF commander, Air Commodore Reese.
"hmmm...get me the MoW." Reese responded. After a brief conversation, Reese hung up the phone. "Lieutenant, send out the order. 10 BGM-109s are to be put onto that arifield." Minutes later, the ten Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired from AVAF MISSILECOM, head directly to King Island Airport.

(OOC: By the way, I launched 32 Standoff weapons at EACH of those Harpoon launch sites, if there is anything living there... then they are the Son of God.

I also knocked out power on the island and communications links in my first strike on King Island, so where are these reports coming from? I'll play along for now, but your Tomahawk missile strike from getting these 'reports' are basically a godmod, unless you have RP'd some other way of getting information off King Island.)

As soon as the Tomahawk cruise missiles were detected by the AWACS and subsequent radar systems available to Task Force Lighthorse, RIM Standards were launched against the Tomahawks. The Task Force had also maneuvered towards the island, and as soon as the Tomahawks got in range, launched a huge barrage of RAM missiles at the incoming cruise missiles. The troops at the airport itself scattered at the report of incoming cruise missiles the moment they were detected.

The RAM missiles easily knocked off seven of the incoming missiles, while one other was nabbed by a RIM Standard. One of the cruise missiles impacted a hanger, collapsing it on a number of private aircraft owned by the islanders. The other cruise missile slammed into an unloaded "Skymaster" transport that had backed itself onto one of the gravel strips using its unique engine 'reverse-thrust' ability. The transport exploded in a ball of flame, but the main airstrip remained undamaged, the old flag of the Queendom of Australia remained defiantly flying over the airport.

The location of the Tomahawk missile launches was quickly relayed to the still partially-loaded "Tempest" Strategic Bombers, which made another attack run. This time they launched two "Sundog" Heavy Standoff Munitions per aircraft from a range of two hundred nautical miles out. Each aircraft launched one heavy penetration weapon, and the other a high-explosive munition. The "Sundogs" were accompanied by further cruise missile launches from the Guardian and Defender, which fired two more cruise missiles each.

The twenty-four heavy Sundog missiles would home in on the AVAF Missile Command sites with devastating accuracy, and ensure that further missiles would not be launched from them. The four cruise missiles launched from the ships would not be directed at the AVAF Missile Command. Instead they were launched at communications sites for the Australian Volunteer Force, which had been identified over the preceding days by the AWACS aircraft.

Information on the missile launches were relayed to other peacekeeping coalition members, and called for further strikes to completely degrade all Australian Volunteer Force command and control capabilities. Information on the Tomahawk missile sites was also quickly provided, as well as a general warning that Harpoon batteries were confirmed along the coast, probably launched from mobile vehicles.

Missile Boats

The news of the surrender does at all deter the men making their way towards the Communist Australian ships they've designated as targets. They pick the four newest and largest ships possible and bear down on them directly with their loudspeakers blaring, "Surrender or die!" The 76.2 mm turreted weapon on the decks of the four small ships seems to infer the seriousness of their orders if one should need that sort of motivation. The men manning the weapons of the missile boats aren't the only ones ready.

The boarding parties have their own assault rifles, SAWS, and other weapons ready as well. Their orders are simple, board, capture, and escape with the ships as quickly as possible. The crews are to be put on their own lifeboats and turned loose as quickly as possible to prevent any recapture attempts. Violence will only be used if the men on the ships attempt to resist.

Landing Craft

Resistance is something the commanders of the shore parties worry about as well. The sudden surrender of Communist Australia doesn't bring their mission to a halt. In fact, it merely speeds it up as they crank the engines of their armored landing craft to life and head directly towards their assigned targets along the Brisbane waterfront. Each of the landing craft carry a platoon of heavily armed men who are carrying empty packs waiting to be stuffed with valuables. The landing crafts themselves are protected by a special security element and .50 caliber machine guns.

As they near their targets the men on the craft eyes are peeled wide open as they scan the shores for threats. In the lead craft, Chargin' Charlie Beckwith listens to his radio as he scans the buildings and shores. "No resistance so far," he comments as he hears the sound of the metal dropgates of the landing craft come crashing down and the platoons in them pour out of their vessels and they hustle to carry out their missions.

Riverine Boats

The machines guns of the riverine craft sweep the shores and ships of Communist Australia's coastline. Should they be fired upon they will resort to firing back. However, the word has been passed that the Communist government is collapsing. This puts the men of the Gentleman's Gun and Rod Club of Northumbria in a precarious position that requires them to use a little sense as they are operating illegally in a role that normally tends to be resolved by being hung by the neck until dead in days gone by.

No point in adding numerous murder charges to their offenses unless they have no other choice but to resort to violent force.

Unconditional Surrender Terms for Communist Australia:
"As Communist Australia has shown that it has not been a proponent of peace on continental Australia, and the International Peacekeeping Force feels that change in sovereignty is needed, we effectively will impose the following terms as dictated on Communist Australia:

Disbandment - The Communist Australian government must disband all vestiges of its governance over its territory. The Communist Australian Army must stand down, and lay down its weapons, vehicles, and aircraft at appropriate locations, and the military will be disbanded back to civilian life.

Leadership - The Communist Australian government must recognize ROBERT ABEL as the new de facto ruler of the former territory of Communist Australia. Mr. Abel has shown to be a responsible member of the Free Australian movement, and his future is a bright one indeed. His governance will be trusted by the International Peacekeeping Force.

Territorial Governance - The Communist Australian government must transfer all governance of its territory to the members of the International Peacekeeping Force.
The members of the Free Australian movement, who are currently taking part in the International Peacekeeping Force, will receive the signing of these measures at the Norman Airport, in the stead of Mr. Abel."
Classified

Upon announcement of the surrender terms, the one remaining undamaged transport at King Island airport took to the air with Robert Abel and his rebels on board. The plane would be heavily escorted by two full squadrons of stealth fighters, the plane would then proceed out over the Coral Sea, where they would be refueled, before making the journey towards Norman.

Surface combatents safe for the Battleship Zhou and the Chongqing class landing dock in the vicinity of the Coral Sea were ordered to reassume military formation with victory largely concluded while the submarine combatents remained on their combat patrol routes. Helicopters continued to ferry marines between Norman Airport and the Fleet increasing the ground presence to a full Marine Expeditionary unit. Marine MCS and MK-28 systems would be airlifted in via heavy VTOL to the staging ground as six STOVL strategic transports were prepared in Guam and four more in Kiaoshiung as part of a marine build up for operations .

Meanwhile the Zhou would cover amphibious mechanized landings from the Chongqing's EFV companies north of Normantown. SeaMOS drones would provide aerial support for the Zhou to fire its rail guns and the Chongqing its 155 super rapid against positions which may oppose the marine landings.

EFV forces would move rapidly only stopping if force was encountered to close a line between the air fields and the shore.

The plane carrying Robert Abel arrived at Norman Airport shortly after the Marine Expeditionary Unit landed, the Timuridian fighters would follow up landing as well. More transport aircraft, carrying another two hundred soldiers of the "Bushmasters" took off from Singapore, making for Norman as well. It had been a long day, but things were progressing nicely, there was a lot of activity going on as well.
