Operation El Dorado Canyon Also Known as Thunderous Odessey Dawn III

The UFE fleet moved from its pre positioning role to taking rapid military evasive action on a pre determined path to make its position difficult to track as it moved through the combat space.

Action taken against Free State of Australia

B-9 Stealth Bombers which had launched late last night were now nearing stand off weapon range to engage their targets. Joint-Stars had been scanning the battlefield space along with SAT INT assets and had relayed them to the B-9s for a first strike package. Patriot brigades of the Australian Free State were engaged by B-9s from 1000 kilometers off firing ER-M-51 missiles. Six would target each of the patriot equipped regiment. The wave rider hyper sonic weapons rapidly ascended into the stratosphere before descending downwards and approaching the brigades at a shallow angle which the patriot system was not designed to defend against. The kinetic blast of each of the weapons coupled with a high explosive warhead would make it a near certainty that the patriots long range engagement capabilities would be degraded. Immediately a Franco Class Ballistic Missile Submarine would launch 4 conventional ballistic missiles equipped with thermobaric bombs against the bases of the First and Second Brigades airborne troops aiming to knock out air cavalry assets ability to keep their helicopters flying in addition to denying them the ability to keep their birds in the air.

Six more B-9s were simultanously hitting the Free State's fixed win assets on the ground. Fighter bases housing the Sukhoi-27s came under attack from B-9 launch ER-M-51s, forty eight missiles in total were used to hit the air traffic control towers, runways, and air plane hangers to destroy the launch capability of the enemy air assets before they could get off the ground to defend against the next leg of the hammer.

The Squadron of Tu-160 Sino activated their super cruise engines almost as soon as the operation began and were now moving overhead of the Free Australian State at high altitude. External weapon bays housed twenty BGM-109s each on nine and internal weapons bays housed an additional 12 heavier club K missiles. The final three housed 20 LRAAMs on their external bays and an additional twelve in their internal bays. Breaking off into four flights of three, three flights were used to target ground assets of the enemy air force. Sixty BGM 109 Gs were fired against each of the following targets: A-10 Base of Operations, B-1 Base of Operations, C-130 base of operations. Further the Club Ks were unleashed against the radar and telecommunications sites in the Free Australian State to knock the Free Australians off of the Global Communications Grid Completely and clear the way for the Timurs to do effective comm jamming.

Action taken against the Communist Australia Forces:

The missile decks of the Xia, Jade Emperor, and Zhou lit up the sky as missiles swarmed from the surface combatents towards their targets in Communist Australia. Military headquarters was the target of six cruise missiles, while ninety reigned down on the forward positioned helicopter and air assets within range of the Pihana Border. An additional sixty reigned down on what were identified as signal and command and control assets of forward deployed troops along the CA-Pihana Border.

The large air fields of Communist Australia would come under attack by five B-9 Bombers launching a total of 40 ER-M-51s aiming to rapidly knock out and destroy the air force launch capability of the Australians. An additional five B-9s would launch a similar attack against the radar installations of Communist Australia paving the way for the Aussies to be situational blind to the overall air activity in their country.

Three flights of F/A-47s rapidly flew in and dropped precision JDAMs on the telecommunications hubs to knock out land line phone and internet services in the Western half of the country, denying the CA a ground based method of rapid communications between the populated East, and the West were a battle would actually take place.

Two squadrons of EF-50s escorted by two UAV AWACs each too position over the Communist Australia battle zone and began wide spread spectrum jamming to disrupt the ability to send cell or radio transmissions from unit to unit, essentially cutting off the capability of the Communists to communicate with their army.

B-9s and Tu-160s which had expended their ordinance would return to bases in SE Asia and Guam for reloading and preparation for more sorties.

A transmission went out to the world from Executor Ding:
Good evening,

Today the United Federation of the East and our allies have initiated military action under the Pacific Harmony Accords to prevent the spread of violence in Australia. We have warned the Communist Australians and their allies that any harsh action would result in the UFE taking necessary measures. Further they were warned that once they declared war they should not dare to escalate the conflict. Sadly with the Free Australians also entering this war, that escalation has occurred. We have no choice but to use military force to degrade the power projection capabilities of the enemy coalition so that they cannot prosecute this war.

At this time we have no intention of staying in Australia, this operation will be done to bring back order to the region and then it will be concluded. Should other powers wish to attempt and expand this conflict it will be met with the full force of our military might and will end very badly for whomever chooses to do this.
In the afternoon of the 23rd of March, the Red Australian Army made good on it's ultimatum. Army Groups A and B, along with the 1st Red Australian Engineer Corps, began their assault along the Pihana border. Artillery regiments began blasting enemy units along the border, 150mm shells bombarding and killing enemies as the infantry and ACR breached the border. Reports were coming in that the UFE had hit the northern sector of the country, and it was expected they would attack the invading force soon. The helicopters sustained massive casualties, with few helos surviving the destruction. Some AA resistance would be met, but it would be through light AA weapons on the ground.

Airfields would meet the same fate as the helicopters, with no survivors. The Red Australian Air Force was essentially eliminated from the equation. Still, this failed to stop the Red Australian units invading Pihana, as even without comms they knew their objectives and moved to achieve them. Delegated to using signal flags, the tanks and APCs moved to set up a temporary starting point to launch further assaults from.

As for the cruise missiles, every missile hit it's mark, devastating the Red Australian Command. What was left had no means of communication with other command centers other than with runners with humvees, which had limited success.

Buryatian Military Operations against the Australian Free State began with the launch of the first wave consisting of ten Tu-95MS "Bear H" Strategic Bombers from Buryatia itself carrying AGM-60 "Titan" Air Launched Strategic Cruise Missiles. They made their way to the Coral Sea supported all the way by Il-78M Aerial Refueling Tanker Aircraft, before joining up with sixteen Su-33 Sukhoi Fighters from the Aircraft Carrier BNS Pacific Wolf. They targeted any AFS frontline positions and artillery positions with the aim of stopping the AFS military from being able to function properly.

The second wave was made up of ten Tu-160M "Blackjack" Strategic Bombers carrying fourty thousand pounds of bombs. They attacked the AFS supply depots and roads behind the lines to isolate the frontline units from reinforcement or resupply. With their sorties accomplished, the aircraft returned to their respective bases to rearm and refuel for further missions.

With wars having been declared in Australia the Second Fleet which was spread throughout the Indian Ocean moved to a higher state of alert and came closer to Australia however no offensive moves would be made.

**Public**

"Provided the operation stays limited to simply ensuring peace the United Federation of the East and its allies have our moral support."

The Cruise missles had less effect on the AFS than on Communist Australia. With the Anti-Air/Ballistic Missile shield (OoC: See news thread) being active. All 6 of the ER-M-51 missiles fired at each the partiot companies were hits, companies of Patriot Missiles in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Brigades, destroying a total 43 missile units. 21 of the 48 ER-M-51s fired at the Su-27 bases hit with devistating force, destroying a total of 12 Su-27s along with damging the highways and . 100% of Club-k missiles hit their targets destroying most of the AFS telecommunications equipment, effectivly cutting all military communications traffic, the AC-130, B-1 and A-10 bases sufferd mjor damage of 20 BMG-109s each, damaging all the A-10s, 4 AC-130s, leaving only 1 operational, and 7 B-1 bombers were destroyed along with RADAR equipment and the runways for all bases. The Franco Class Ballistic Missile Submarines missiles were intercepted by the AA/BMS, with three missiles reaching the target and hitting the aircraft of 2 Brigade. After the UFE attack fighters were immediately scrambbled to intercept any more attackers, most of the Buryatian aircraft were fired upon by the AA/BMS, with the remainder being attacked by the remaining Su-27s.

40km Northeast of King Island, South of Mainland Australia

"Alea Iacta Est."

The command came through to the bridge of the RTNS Guardian, relayed via satellite datalink from Ashgabat, as soon as the first missile was fired from the UFE's aircraft. Task Force "Lighthorse" had been at sea for close to two weeks now, spirits remained high, and the mood on the bridge considerably lightened when the command came through. They had been waiting for weeks for this command, and as soon as it came through, the ships went to General Quarters, or "GQ", crews manning their stations and troops aboard the four Amphibious Landing Docks gearing up.

"Command confirmed," said Rear Admiral Nikolai Gorshkov, an old salt that commanded the Task Force, who had actually started in the Timuridian Coast Guard, into a secure line to Timuridian Command. He nodded at the Guardian's commander, Captain Abraham al-Faisal, who began barking out orders to the crew, orders were relayed down to the Combat Information Center to begin targeting pre-planned targets which had been established by the continuous AWACS patrols. The AWACS patrols had been running for almost a week non-stop, providing a wealth of information on possible military targets, radar installations, and the like.

Although Timuridian air assets were still a ways from making it in-theater, troops who had been detailed for an incursion into Australian Free State territory, began piling aboard helicopters on the Amphibious Landing Docks Endurance, Persistence, Resolute, and Fortitude. Each ship carried six helicopters - two "Sea Griffon" Heavy Assault Helicopters, and four "Sea Ranger" Medium Utility Helicopters. Altogether, the twenty-six helicopters (one "Sea Ranger" from each of the Frigates included) in the task force could haul up to four hundred and twenty men. The men had already been briefed on their mission; secure a temporary onshore air base for air denial operations over the Australian Free State, this meant assaulting King Island, in the Bass Strait, halfway between the mainland and Tasmania.

In preparation for the assault by the heavily-laden helicopters, VLS-cell doors on the two frigates, Guardian and Defender, opened, and began launching pinpoint strikes with cruise missiles on Australian Free State radar sites within a one hundred mile radius of the island. One cruise missile would aim straight for the radar at the King Island airport itself, while two others would take a flight path directly to the island's power station and communication facilities respectively. As soon as the cruise missiles left the VLS cells, the helicopters began lifting off the decks of the Amphibious Landing Docks, and raced for the shore of King Island. They flew low to the surface, to avoid radar detection, roaring through the night sky.

As the helicopters and cruise missiles left their ships, transport planes began taking off at Singapore, heading due south into the Indian Ocean.
"By widening this war, you have threatened to destabilize this region further, and are joining in an unjust and totally unprovoked Crusade against a sovereign nation. Your country, instead of working harder to preserve the stability of the Australian continent, decided to take it upon itself to take an opportunistic stance. We will not stop this assault until BOTH you and your neighbor cease operations.

We are hereby announcing the creation of the International Peacekeeping Force - Oceania, to ensure the stability of the continent of Australia and protect the sovereignty of the state of Pihana."
OOC: We have always used the ig missile defenses to measure the effectiveness of defenses. This is basically one of the most advanced nations in the world using the most modern equipment against a nation still in the cold war era. The losses are nothing compared to what they would realistically be.

OoC: just to let you all know, supercheese markus and i have a vague plan for the war
Alright, so let's try this:

Joint CA-AFS forces invade Pihana
Slight penetration (giggity) into Pihana until held back by Pihana forces and any international forces
Standoff for some time until Pihana and co. make a breakthrough
AFS forces keep control on their current borders, CA forces are pushed back to Norman
Peace talks hopefully

Does that sound good to everyone? And super, if you want to bring someone in (like Shammy and Triyun) feel free to. Let them know about this above plan (assuming everyone agrees to it) when you do.
basically, i would prefer it if i didn't get invaded, as i plan to RP a revolution ;)

OOC: Also the Patriot Cold War system was built to defend against ballistic missiles, not cruise missiles. It was hardly effective in defending against Iraqi Scuds which were far less advanced that what I'm employing. Further 6 M-51s were employed against EACH company of missiles.

OOC: Plus as said before. Patriots are ABM not anti cruise missile defenses. The 1991 generation could not shoot down many of literally some of the worst ballistic missiles in service. Cruise missiles are much harder to hit, especially hypersonic ones. The efficacy of your patriot defenses are very low. We picked the weapons for this carefully.

The Gentleman's Gun and Rod Club of Northumbria moves into position in the Coral Sea. The vessels of the fleet are under strict orders to mimic routine civilian radio traffic for the time being. Portholes are covered to block out light, civilian band radars are turned on, and military band radars kept under wraps for the time being.

The prepared bouys are left silently in the wake of the fleet as a the LCDF Supply Ship Corsica is readied for its final mission. The ancient ship has over fifty years of life on her, but is still in good repair. The ship is combed from port to starboard and identifying marks are stripped from it. All books, correspondence, videos, and other items of personal nature are collected up and redistributed to the fleet. The stern of the ship is fitted a small craft that is hung on davits for rapid deployment.

The rest of the fleet is undergoing a similar transformation, but to a lessor degree. The flags of the LCDF and ship markings are being removed and replaced with those of the Eggman Empire. For the time being anyway, no doubt the markings would change again in the future to suit operational needs. Papers have been prepared showing orders for the 31st Eggman Naval Flotilla being dispatched on humanitarian patrol in the Coral Sea should anyone get too curious.

They aren't perfect papers, but enough to pass the cursory inspection of a curious by-passer should they be needed.

Macau

Chargin' Charlie Beckwith his band of merry marauders pour off their planes. They are rapidly put on buses and sent directly to the harbor. Once there they climb onto a small ship that immediately departs. The ship is also fitted with davits and numerous small raiding craft. Further, rifles, shotguns, breaching equipment, boarding ladders, body armor, Squad Automatic Weapons, and anti-tank weapons are waiting on the ship for the men. Other items such as tactical radios, medical kits, and a prepared medical bay is waiting as well.

"Damn, they are sparing no expense for this operation," Charlie mumbles to himself as he looks over the ship. He looks out over the harbor as a second ship follows in their wake that is reportedly carrying supplies for the rest of the LCDF.

Task Force 193 would maintain station 250 NM South West of Perth waiting for request for help from Pihana, if any. Since Pihana is an Indian Ocean nation, its protection is also vital for the Kingdom's strategic interests. A BARCAP of 8 JM2Ns have been mounted above and around the Task Force. The RF05 Regiment of Royal Cochin Air Force has now repositioned itself at the NAS Ile Amsterdam along with some additional assets for possible deployment for combat.

A Halob AWACS and a Merat ELINT aircraft has already started operations in the Great Australian Blight, keeping to international airspace but monitoring the combat operations so that if and when it received the request for help the Task Force 193 would be able to launch its force with full effect.

0730 Hours, March 23rd
Eire Highway, South Australia,
Pihana-AFS border

The Tanks and LAVs of 1 Brigade rolled across the border and along the Eire highway. Their objective. Capture Perth, the largest city in Pihana. In truth they were mearly a distraction for the main force, to advance along Stuart Highway to capture the capital, Darwin. The diversionary force was to advance until they made contact with the enemies defences, where they would attempt halfhearted assaults to maintain the diversion.

0735 Hours, March 23rd
Stuart Highway, South Australia,
Pihana-AFS Border

Corporal Michael Cameron, sat in the back of the HMMWV as it drove up the highway. They were in the middle of the coloum, with the rest of the mounted infantry regiments of 3 brigade. They had suffered Missile attacks from UFE and Byritian Airforces earlier in the day, and now they moved through the desert, with their immediate objective to capture Tennant Creek, and then link up with Communist Australian forces at Three Ways where the Stuart and Barkly Highways met. They advanced for about 50km before the forward elements(LAVs and HMMWV mounted infantry) of the force came into contact with Pihana Forces at the small village of Kulgera.

Mobile RGM-84 Harpoon Missile Battery LIMA079, recived orders to fire a barrage of 12 missiles at the GTE ships of inside AFS territory. Six missile were fired a few minuted after the orers came thorugh, followed by a further six, after the Missile Trucks were re-loaded. A similar scene was being played out in the fields around Hordern Vale and Glenaire.

The enemy Su-27s caused a problem which resulted in two Tu-160Ms being shot down, resulting the in the first ever combat fatalities sustained by the Commonwealth of Buryatia. The Buryatian Su-33 Fighters engaged at a safe distance, firing numerous AAM-23 "Bullseye" Medium Range Air to Air Missiles at them to drive them off before escaping back to their carrier.

The Bomber Formations had suffered damage from the ground to air defences with three Tu-95MSs heavily damaged from the intense fire that had been directed at them. The Fifth Bomber Squadron would replace the aircraft destroyed or damaged and the two crews that were lost before they would continue operations. Tactics would be changed for future sorties in light of the resistance encountered and lessons would be learned.

The Timuridian fleet detected the missiles as soon as they left their launchers, and began their anti-missile defensive measures as soon as they did, the entire fleet lining up against the broadside of missiles. The size of the missile barrages, with only eighteen missiles each, was a comparatively small attack against the well-equipped Timuridian fleet. The missiles would be engaged by the CIWS guns as soon as they came in range of the vessels, which were throwing chaff and flares into the air at an alarming rate. The fleet had twenty-two CIWS guns to bring to bear, with eighteen actual guns the could be in action against the missile threat, guided by an integrated system, the CIWS guns worked independently, knocking down assigned threats as they approached.

Seventeen of the first barrage of missiles were knocked down in quick fashion, but a lucky missile slammed into the Endurance, the missile had, at the last minute, been distracted by a chaff pod, but it managed to hit the countermeasures station up near the RAM missile launchers. The explosion knocked out the countermeasures station on the Endurance, as well as wiping out two RAM missile launchers. There was only light damage to the upper mid-superstructure of the ship, and the Endurance remained largely intact, and still full of fight.

The second barrage of missiles were engaged shortly thereafter with another tactic, while largely ineffective against smaller missiles, the RAM missiles were shot at the Harpoons at a distance of five miles, managing one hit on the missiles. Sixteen more of the missiles would fall victim to a similar fate, and be wiped from the sky as CIWS autocannon systems engaged them, flares and chaff pods once again filled the sky. Another lucky missile managed to break the defenses and slammed into the Fortitude amidships, the missile blew a hole two decks below the series of RAM missile launchers on top of the ship, sending shrapnel throughout the helicopter hanger which was largely empty. Some electrical circuits were damaged, and one 30mm autocannon turret went offline, the ships' crew and the troops on board began quickly dealing with any fires that would break out, but the ship was still intact, albeit not at one-hundred percent working capacity. The ships maintained their power, and began moving further southeast, and would be out of Harpoon missile range in a little over an hour.

The Harpoon launches were responded to with a vengeance, eight cruise missiles had left the Guardian and Defender between the Harpoon barrages, the cruise missiles would rain down the missile positions. The coordinates were also relayed to the twelve "Tempest" strategic bombers, who had increased their speed as soon as the missile launches were detected. The bombers made a straight run at the Melbourne area right before the second barrage was launched, and using the coordinates given to them by the Timuridian fleet, launched a devastating strike at seventy nautical miles out. The bombers launched a combined ninety-fix SOLR-101 "Sunbeam" standoff missiles at the targets, thirty of the standoff missiles contained CB-195 Cluster Bomblets, while the rest carried multi-stage double 450lb high explosive warheads. The combined weight of the cruise missiles and standoff weapons would catch the Harpoon batteries right after they had finished loosing off their second barrage. Right after they launched their payload, the Tempests turned away, outside of Patriot-AAM range.

As the Harpoons were being launched at the fleet, the first Timuridian helicopters had reached King Island, and began disgorging their troops about a kilometer east of the King Island airport in the plentiful fields that scattered about the island.

OOC: My intervention is not a trench warfare stabilization intervention. My intervention is the systematic dismantling of the war fighting capability of the CA and Free Australians. The PLA's objective is to knock out the capability for both these nations to field and supply an army not to defeat their units in a set piece battle.

IC:
Dispatch from the Admiralty of the People's Liberation Army Navy

By order of the Executor of the People's Liberation Army, the PLAN has initiated a blockade petroleum too the Free Australians and Communist Australians. Attempts to run this blockade will be met with the confiscation of your vessel permanently and the selling of your cargo to pay for coalition war efforts.
The Sukhois attempting to fly into the air would find the environment even more hostile than they did the ground. The EF-50s and AWACs would rapidly pick them up on radar while completely jamming the Sukhois own systems as well as their early warning systems. Tu-160 missile trucks moved to engage the enemy fighter jets who would be completely blind. At 110 kilometers out beyond visual range the Tu-160s fired a volley of sixty fire and forget missiles against the Sukhois. The only warning the enemy fighter jets would get would be when other Sukhois started being impacted by the LRAAMs.

EF-50s would then break off from their stealth AWAC escorts accelerating to super cruise and engage the Sukhois from behind at 20 nmi using AIMRAMs and still closing to 10 nmi using infrared missiles, delivering a devastating combination of long range, medium range, and short range missiles against the blind enemy.

A squadron of F/A-68s would be dispatched to the south to perform continued interdiction against the enemy's air defense units. Breaking off into three flights of four they would fly down low over the surviving patriot battery units in the forward army units and unleash bomblets over fire control sites to knock the remaining ones offline. The Stealth fighters would then come around and use their auto cannons along with proficiency at sub sonic manuvering to make strafing runs against fuel and ammunition depots of the forward deployed 1st Brigade to deny the enemy the rapid ability to advance.

In the north 150 mm guns used to cover the CA advance would be engaged by Battleship Han and Battle Cruiser/ Escort Carrier Pacific Wolf Pacific Wolf IIs combined array of rail gun batteries. Meanwhile another squadron of F/A-47s would drop JDAMs against the forward armor spearhead units of the CA advance before coming around to engage their rear line supply companies with several gun strafing runs before returning to base.

With enemy air defenses clear in the North, the Zeon Amphibious Assault Ship and Chongqing Amphibious Landing Dock were ordered to begin their air cavalry for cutting the enemy's army from the rear. Four marine light infantry companies were being loaded onto MH-60, Mi-28, and V-22 VTOLs and being equipped for a raiding mission while the ships continued to move into range to dispatch mechanized amphibious forces as well.

Meanwhile in Guam PCIA long range combat global hawks had been launched now with mission authorization for deadly force. Each of the twelve units was dispatched to monitor signals in the capital of Communist Australia and the surrounding area. Any sort of telecommunications transmission would be picked up and orders were given for the PCIA were given a green light to decapitate the enemy's leadership structure if the situation presented itself.

General Dawson, along with several other high-ranking military officers, entered Chairman Biff's office as the war raged on. In his hands he held a Walther P99, loaded and ready to fire.

"This, Chairman, is the beginning of a new era." Dawson raises the pistol to hip level, aiming it at the Chairman. "You are hereby relived from your duties, Chairman Biff. I highly encourage you to leave office immediately and live a long, hopefully pleasant life."

Biff stands up now, pointing a single finger at Dawson and his fellow conspirators. "Guards, arrest them! They're mad!"

"You should pick yer guards, better, Chairman," Colonel Lauren Bruton informed. "We have the entire military on our side."

Biff backs up as the guards turn against him. "Thi-this is treason! I'll have you rot in jail!"

Dawson lowers the pistol at this. "Treason? No, this is saving innocent people from a madman. In my first act as President of Australia, I hereby order your execution, the abolishing of the Dawson Doctrine and the beginning of peace talks with our newly-made enemies."

It is with great uneasiness that I come before you today. In recent times, Australia has suffered great discontent and madness. The election of a Biff, who served as our chairman, slowly proved his insanity by further provoking instability in our region and with our neighbors.

The Free Australian rebels have proved successful. I have sided with their cause, and they now have taken control of Australia. With this, the old system is gone. Effective immediately, Biff is to be executed, the Dawson Doctrine will be abolished and peace talks will be held in order to free ourselves from the goals of a madman.

To the Coalition, the people of Australia have no ill will towards you. We only see that you were helping us assist in overthrowing our inhumane and insane dictator, and for that we give our thanks. If communications with ground troops are re-established, we can stop the army groups from achieving their objectives and stop the death and destruction.

Thank you.

The announcement would come too late as a two flights of three Tu-160M "Blackjack" Strategic Bombers approached over Queensland. The first flight of three each dropped their full load of fourty GPB-2 1000 Pound General Purpose Bombs on the main road heading west out of Queensland just five miles short of the border with Pihana. The second flight targeted the M2 road heading west out of Brisbane, each aircraft dropping a load of eight GPB-4 5000 Pound Guided Bunker Buster Bombs to render the major road artery impassible. With their missions completed the two flights began to head back northwards, at the same time only just recieving the news of the coup made against Chairmen Biff. The flights would meet up just off the north Queensland Coast and head for base to rearm and refuel.

Classified - King Island

Landing amongst the elements of the 12th Airmobile Battalion, were a group of twenty men and women who had been named as "Bushmasters", by their "Samael" Special Operations handlers. In reality these forces, which were Timuridian-equipped with weapons and gear, were former Free Australian Prisoners of War released by the Timuridian nation. As soon as the helicopters hit the ground on King Island, they would move with the Timuridian forces towards the airport, whose radar had already been knocked out by cruise missiles.

At the head of the "Bushmasters" was 'Commander' Robert Abel, who was a veteran of the Free Australian insurgency movement, and had fought in Brisbane as well as multiple other smaller engagements against the Communist Australian and International Peacekeepers. He had earned the respect of many of the Timuridian soldiers who had had the pleasure of meeting him, and now here he was, the law graduate turned soldier, leading nineteen of his countrymen into battle. The morning sun was getting high as they advanced through the hedged fields towards the airport, moving swiftly but carefully. The "Bushmasters" looked hardly any different from the regular Timuridian soldiers, wearing the same equipment and uniforms, the only distinguishing factor was the flag patch of the Queendom stitched onto their shoulders.

International Peacekeeping Force: Oceania - Statement

"The International Peacekeeping Force Oceania officially declares that it DOES NOT recognize the government of former Communist Australian General Dawson, who clearly orchestrated this coup at an opportunistic moment to save his own skin. General Dawson was the architect and overseer who created this self-proclaimed doctrine meant to give a free hand to Communist Australia to interfere with continental Australian politics. We are declaring that Dawson is officially being added to this organization's list as a wanted war criminal, for being the architect of this doctrine that officially led to this pointless war.

It is clear that he has realized that the odds are stacked against him, and he is has simply overthrown Chairman Biff to rule the country by his own hand. He may have sided with the Free Australian movement, but this was clearly done to save his own skin in the end, we will continue to call for the removal of any vestiges of the last government that ruled Communist Australia. We will not recognize this new government, and order that Communist Australia surrender unconditionally to the International Peacekeeping Force."
