Jorge Pombo was the name of the Worker-Diplomat chosen to travel to Mexico. He felt anxious, travelling to a stronghold of bourgeoisie, into the heart of skyfather-worshippers. But it was deemed necessary, if only to permit the Communion to establish itself and delay a crusade from the north.

Antonio Salavarrieta was the chosen Worker-Diplomat who would travel to the American Enclave for the diplomatic meeting. His aircraft was one of the latest, and he felt quite safe travelling in it. Truly, the Worker's accomplishments were many and great! The craft landed in Philadelphia, and Salavarrieta stepped off the plane, followed by a few aides and a single Guardsman. He was curious as to the impression he'd get from the Enclave.

Only days after the announcement of protection over Ecuador and Peru, Tikalian forces were quite busy moving into the regions to secure them. Previously, there had been a combines 40,000 men in the two countries, and now Ecuador was being reinforced with 35,000 troops to 50,000 in total, while Peru's total numbers would be brought to 110,000 men. Neither number included armoured vehicles or walkers, though considering the terrain only relatively few were deployed. 50 tanks and 30 Walkers were moved into Ecuador, about twice that into Peru. Tikal's 'point of entry' were Piura on the coast, and the massive province of Loreto, from them moving into the rest of the country until hopefully reaching Ucayali, Junín and Lima unopposed. As troops moved through cities and towns, they reassured the populace that Tikal was now here and that they didn't have to fear any warlords or militias that might in the past have attempted to raid or conquer them. They would be receiving better medical attention once Tikalian doctors had made their way southwards, infrastructure would receive maintenance. Tikal wanted to help local governors and government to keep the peace and help the people live, instead of survive. Of course, someone somewhere had made a small mistake. Apparently, Bolivia had previously declared a protectorate over Peru, though the Tikalians had not yet been contacted by anyone.

With the Tikalian monopoly and superpower status in the Americas, the Saxons saw the central power of Tikal as the obvious choice for expanding operations outside of Europe. Conference of America To The Honorable Leaders and Representatives of The Principality of Tikal, The United States of America, and Cascadia. From Deputy Secretary of State Samuel Ireland and Texas Governor Anthony Sparks of The Plains Federation Fellow Americans, I would like to invite you all to The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas to discuss the geopolitical situation in North America. This conference will include the four nations of the United States, Tikal, Cascadia, and the Plains Federation because we all have had a lot of recent border friction while the Federation of the Atlantic, Ecclesiarchy of Alaska, Baffin Island, and Bear Islands have all fortunately managed to stay relatively peaceful and content. The topic of discussion will be the geopolitical situation of the region known as "America" and the Caribbean islands. The goal of this meeting will be to make clear and apparent rules between the four of us in regards to protecting land in the region of "America" (which does not include Canada or Mexico) and keeping the Caribbean a relatively neutral and peaceful place for the people of those islands to decide their own future. As it currently stands, we have the Principality of Tikal to thank for enforcing its Monroe Doctrine which prevents foreign powers from openly annexing territory in the Western Hemisphere or the over expansion of any North or South American nation. For that, we are grateful and hope that this policy continues. Governor Sparks and I look forward to seeing you all at the Alamo. Security will be provided by the Plains Federation and Texas governments. However two unarmed guards would be acceptable if a nation found it necessary. In the wake of the Oriental conflict ending suddenly with the collapse of the Chinese governments collapsing utterly, Tikal found itself in de facto control of Guam and Palau, under Martial law. Hawaii's Cultural Island Groups had laid claim to both islands and Tikal had acknowledged the claim during the conflict, but as per a treaty-agreement with Japan, control would have to be returned to Nippon. In order to clear things up, island-wide votes were held on the people's opinions. Options provided were Join Japan Join the CIG Independence Join Tikal (Joke option) On Palau, under 1% voted for #4; 8% voted for #3; 23% voted for #2; 68% voted for #1. Approximately 76% of the population eligible for voting did so. On Guam, under 1% voted for #4, 11% voted for #3, 19% voted for #2 and 69% voted for option 1. Approximately 81% of the population eligible for voting did so. Both Japan and Hawaii were informed of this result, with apologies to Hawaii. Martial law was officially lifted from the islands, and control would be transferred to the Empire of Japan. The fleets and all Tikalian troops and equipment would return home. The CIG had also claimed that Puerto Rico wished to join it. To verify this, an island-wide survey was held. Options were as follows, Stay independent Join the CIG Join Tikal (Joke option) In a massive effort, most of the population eligible to vote had been surveyed, numbering in the vicinity of 7 digits (over 1 million). The results were surprising to some, but perhaps not all. 16% of those questioned had chosen option #3. Only 3% had answered option #2. The vast majority, over 75%, had decided on option #1, staying independent. The rest were 'unsure' or said 'I don't know'. Many asked afterwards who the Cultural Island Groups even were. Apparently only a small percentage of the population even knew the organisation or had no interest in it in any way. Hawaii was informed of the results. OOC Edit: Forgot 'cnrp2' in the tags.

King Kanaka Palan, in accordance with India's new foreign policy initiative, has sent an invitation to the Principality of Tikal, inviting their government to send an official, high level delegation to the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The delegation would meet personally with his royal highness, along with members of the government and royal family.

The crews rebuilding and refurbishing the research station on one of Saint Peter and Paul's islands were not numerous, but accompanied by a single Corvette that was anchored perhaps a hundred or so meters from the docks at the entrance to the cove, the inner waters deemed too shallow and dangerous for it at the time. Upon approach, the Brazilian boat would be hailed via loudspeaker instead of radio. Once close enough that they could be talked to normally, one of the crewmen who could speak Brazilian Portuguese told them that the main fleet was near Fernando de Noronha, and that they should kindly go there to discuss anything further. None of the people on board or on the island had any capacity to speak for Tikal, and the equipment to quickly contact the mainland hadn't been installed yet. Only the helicopter carrier with the fleet was currently able to permit such communications.

[OOC: Obviously closed to me and Scofield /OOC] To: Secretariat of Energy of Mexico; Institute of Mining and Technology From: Principality of Tikal; Directorate of Diplomacy, Directorate of Sciences; University of Guatemala City Topic: Concerning the Cave of the Crystals, Chihuahua Body: Ladies and Gentlemen, During a recent endeavour regarding harmonic vibration experiments with various types of crystals, a research team has theorised that a certain type of super-pure crystal found only in the Cave of the Crystals in the Mexican state of Chihuahua may aid them in their research, subsequently turning to the Directorate of Sciences to request diplomatic aid in retrieving samples of these crystals. As Tikal doesn't have official diplomatic contact with other nations outside of general trade agreements, we would like to negotiate safe passage of a small research team to the town of Naica so that they may lead an expedition into the caves beneath. We would like to note that the UGC's research division is aware of the inhospitable temperatures within the cave and that they will bring their own specialised equipment to permit operations for up to one hour in these conditions.
