  1. Nations of the world. we are working on designs for an international space station to serve as a resting, refueling, and scientific point of interest for international space fleets. That said, we're seeking inputs on to the facilities the world desires in the construction. We will do our best to implement requests that we feel we can properly and adequately implement. This will be a station of peace, it will be unarmed, it will work on a credit system where nations who take fuel will be responsible for paying for replacement of or replacing the fuel on the station when they take from its reserves. We intend on opening it with at least 4 docking ports for access to a variety of sizes of ships and probes. It will be manned, but will also have backup autonomous systems for emergency recovery of crew including robotic arms in the living quarters capable of transporting unconscious crew to jettison escape capsules in an emergency. The capsules will not be part of the original launch of the initially unmanned station, but as capsules arrive and dock from our nation they will refuel and stay locked in as the emergency pods. The station will be built with very durable materials and compartmentalized fuel sections to minimize the damage of meteor or particulate swarms. Now that we have announced this endeavor, we await your input and to see who has interest in participating. We also would like to know your preferred fuel mixes for your vessels that you intend to dock at our station so we can be prepared with a variety of fuels.
  2. Simple proposal, screenshot your nation, confirm the statistics with a GM, those are your stats for the duration of the conflict you are fighting, after said conflict is over you have 10 days to remain on those stats(to account for nuclear anarchy and a reasonable collection afterwards), and then your stats revert to whatever they are in game once more.
  3. [Closed RP, Allowed Stephen Young, Lysergide] Diplomatic Note from Nordisk Rike The Nordisk Rike cordially invites the Empire of Great Britain to send a diplomatic team to our nation so we may bury the hatchet and amend previously soured relations with your nation. We feel that we can over come our differences and past grievances if we come to these meetings with an open mind. We look forward to hearing from your nation, and hope that you send a diplomat so that we may both move forward as great nations. -Foreign Ministry of Nordisk Rike
  4. Callista Lekas had been wary of her assignment to Stalingrad. She'd jockied for the position of ambassador to Malta, and had failed to achieve that post. Rather than simply rejecting her application, however, her superiors had given her a different assignment. Instead of working in the warm familiarity of the Mediterranean, she was instead in the frigid north of Europe. It wasn't all bad, though; she knew the objectives for Russia, and that this assignment could be her chance to shine. Her aids had already settled into the Greek embassy by the time her meeting with the Russian Foreign Commissar was at hand. She'd had them decorate it in a suitable style, but was reminded immediately of the reality of her situation when she left for her meeting. Though it was colder than she would have liked, she left behind the heavy coat and gloves, for which she was grateful; none of the Russians she passed on the streets were bundled up, and she would have been quite out place in her cold weather gear. At last she made her way through the streets to the place of her meeting, and found her way inside. She greeted the Russian security in their own language, and left her own men in a lobby, save for a single aid. She stepped into the meeting room and flashed a smile at the Commissar, ā€œHello. I am Callista Lekas, and this is my assistant.ā€ She held out her hand to the man.
  5. Private The Kralj glared at the doors of the conference room he was currently in. It was no denying that the Sovereign had seemingly reached the end of his patience as he read the public news clippings concerning relations between his two allies, Hungary-Slovakia and Alvonia. To say that the Sovereign of Yugoslavia was incensed would be understating the sheer frustration the Monarch felt towards the situation between two of his allies. He shook his head and prepared to calm himself for the coming meeting, it wouldn't do to be utterly enraged and start chewing out two of his allies in a private meeting. [hr] Upon each dignitary's arrival, they and their entourage would be escorted all the way from the city limits of Beograd with diplomatic honors befitting a foreign dignitary within the Yugoslavian White City to the White Palace on differing routes. The foreign dignitaries of Alvonia and Hungary-Slovakia would not meet till they had finally reached the doors of the designated conference room. Standing besides the conference room's plain looking but tasteful table, the Kralj of the Kingdom turned and politely smiled at the entourage, "I had sincerely wished this meeting would be a pleasure to meet again, Director Wilding, but I would be lying" he started off immediately before turning to the Hungarian Deputy Minister, "Likewise but it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance for the first time nonetheless, Deputy Minister Kovach," he added before he he gestured to the table, hoping his guests would sit in order to get the meeting on track.
  6. The land had once been named Australia by those who had lived there but now it was better known as Naggaroth, the land of darkness. Ruled by the Dread King Malus Darkstorm this land was a place of darkness, death and violence for its ruler was a man of pure violence and malice and from him it seemed to seep into the very soil itself. Always seen in person clad in a brutal and intimidating suit of armour Malus ruled with a tyrannical and brutal fist crushing any who dared to stand against him. By his side his cold but beautiful mother Malerieth offered advice and support to his actions though rumors spoke of her own plans and ambitions. The people of Naggaroth were cruel, spiteful and selfish. They were always ready to profit from and exploit another person's misery and misfortune. In fact this was how Malus ran his kingdom pitting each city ruler against each other and even against their own families, the weak died but the strong perished though never to such a strength as to be a threat to the Dread King. From such misery and hatefulness the military of Naggaroth was furnished into a small but elite fighting force, punishments for even the slightest failure were so extreme that none wished to do anything but succeed and those that did not quickly died out. Naggaroth survived by trading with the local islanders around their home though it was more truthful to say they exploited them. The raiders of Naggaroth kidnapped slaves from the islanders and more often than not stole rather than bargained for goods though a select few communities were given amnesty and were left free from harm. Great care was taken to ensure the larger and more active nations in the local area were left unharmed their lands and shipping were always left alone...for now. For now the Dread King focused on increasing and improving his military forces and raiding fleets and the foundries and mines of Naggaroth continued to stir and bellow day and night without rest. No one but the Dread King knew what his plans were, not even his mother but it would surely spell doom for anyone caught in the Dread King's path.
  7. He was not a man of tall stature. He was short. His robustness betrayed some thought of a stone golem come alive. Within his hefty hands he carried several sheets of paper. The sheet held creaseless in his grip. His olive complexion was different than the natives, the majority of whom were hazel in color. Despite his grey and white hair and fully grown beard, he never seem to lack the vigor of a man in his prime. His face is heavily beset with wrinkles, yet his eyes are sharp, his nose round, and his ears hide behind a half-shaven hair cut. He passed several military soldiers of the Plains Federation on his way up to a stage. It was centered in the middle of a plaza where buildings of historical antiquity sounded the square. The people of Hawaii had long been through a process of admittance into the global community. The country, once a simple agricultural and fish producing 3rd world nation, undertook a radical revision and modernisation enterprise that was suppose to take 50 years to complete. It would implement new roads, schools, harbors, factories, and science centers devoted to the development of technologies to further the self sufficiency of the country as a whole. Today is the 50th year anniversary since the countryā€™s first push for modernisation. There was a feeling in the air. Tense anticipation saturated the square where people murmured and were taking pictures. News crews both international and local positioned themselves in front and around the stage, with photographers capturing history with each snap, and cameramen poised video recording at the ready. The soldiers of the Plains Federation stood on guard with guns at the ready. When the short man reached the podium that awaited him, adorned in wreaths of the natural foliage of Hawaii, the soldiers stood down with their guns at their side. He set the papers upon the stand, and took a few moments to order the sheets and adjust the microphone. With a quick blow into the mic, he said, ā€œAlohaā€ ā€œAlohaā€ the crowd responded with cheers and whistles from the far back. He waved and motioned with his hand that he was to continue. ā€œFor all those watching whom I have not had the pleasure to meet, my name is Professor Kainalu. I think it seems to be superfluous formality for us to even begin with an introduction. We would say it is, un-Hawaiian.ā€ He chuckled with the crowd. ā€œBut in truth this is a special day, a day where we look back and marvel at our accomplishments. What marvelous things we can accomplish together! What a glorious day it is to be Hawaiin!ā€ He beamed genuinely as the crowd broke forth in applause. ā€œYou have every right to be proudā€ he continued over the uproar, ā€œyou have every cause to celebrate!ā€ The crowd was energetic and brimming with excitement. He turned a page and rose his hand to command the crowds composure. ā€œEven if we are not accepted by the world community, and our efforts are rejected, or subject to delay, to not despair. For we have come a long way since those days when first we lived in huts and complex wood works, or when we first met foreigners, what they brought to our country, what they helped teach our people. They can never take away our hard earned progress!ā€ The crowd applauded, but were now in suspenseful anticipation of the results of the world communityā€™s decision. He turned another page. He spoke of the impact of the medicine introduced to the country. Of the natural sciences and cures that have developed in merely half a century. The construction of the very plaza itself was the very hallmark of the countryā€™s grandest project. As the country grew and educated itself, it became innovative, creative, and progressive beyond their original intentions. It showed the strength of the people, ā€œand everyday I prayed to God it would never end. Yet with every end there is a new beginning. He turned over the final paper. ā€œI am pleased to announce that we are now the United Free Pacific Peoples!ā€ The crowd bursts into thunderous applause. ā€œWith the coordinated leadership of the other islands, we shall continue to progress forward as a free people, as a pacific people, as a united people!ā€ The crowd cheered, applauded, sang the national anthem and then saturated local bars and restaurants with nation wide camaraderie, while fireworks were set off from every island throughout the night. The following morning Professor Professor Kainalu would sit down with the Pacific Peoples Council to discuss collectively the future of Hawaii and her people.

  9. OOC: Before someone asks, this is not an annexation,or a protectorate thingy. At least not yet. Feel free to join in. IC: Internal If Belarus had fared poorly after the third Great Collapse, Poland had fared worse. The East of the country, which had been held under a brutal Belorussian occupation for decades, would finally see freedom, as Belorussian troops withdrew in order to deal with the chaos that was unfolding at home. However, as soon as the Belorussian administration vanished, so did any semblance of order. The Polish Authority, which had governed with an iron fist, had ruthlessly exploited the country. Many cities were in the advanced stages of deterioration, and vast areas had been strip-mined for resources. The complete lack of local Poles in administrative bodies would create a situation not so different from the the one in the former Belgian Congo, which lacked the infrastructure and skills necessary to create a functioning government. This landscape would prove a perfect breeding ground for communists, ultra nationalists, radicals and extremists of every kind. One of these groups, the Polish White Army, fueled by a dangerous mix of religion, nationalism, and xenophobia, would come to power in large swaths of the Podlaskie region. Public Broadcast From the White Army "The White Army, recognizing the years of intolerance and hatred the Polish people have faced from Minsk, and recognizing the decades of occupation under its so-called Polish Authority, hereby unconditionally demands that the Belorussian government withdraw from the region of Hajnowka County, and cease its oppressive rule there. If our demands are not agreed to within 48 hours, we will unleash a reign of terror on the Belorussian people, the likes of which has not been seen since Polish armies swept through the area after the First World War."
  10. Druk Yul announced to the world that the project at Everest was complete. The utopian city of Shangri-La was revealed. It was announced the city would soon be the new capitol of Druk Yul. In addition to that Aerostat Industries announced that it had been chosen as chief public transportation provider in the Everest region. Their solar, diesel, and battery powered civilian aerostats, the Cloud Carrier Mk XI would begin immediate service from the air-docks at the city to surrounding airfields. Aerostat Industries has announced that it is looking to secure docking ports at airfields around the world to provide global air travel service via Aerostat and also plans to introduce mobile air cruise and hotel lines in the near future. The airships designs all incorporate an emergency ejection system of civilian compartments with parachutes and built in water flotation devices for the entire compartment in the event of catastrophic failure of the air flotation rigging/helium drums. They have been tested at altitudes up to 60,000 feet and are considered six sigma standard fail-safes for safe evacuation of all on-board crew, cargo, and passengers. It was also disclosed that the architecture and modeling of the upper city was actually done with the aid of a contracted Tikal architectural firm.
  11. The backdrop is the beautiful city of Orleans, a small city in Central France with a small population and a rich history, pivotal to the survival of France at times, the center of its culture at others, and extremely well kept now that the nation's capital is there. The Empress of France, as she often did, had dressed herself in civilian attire and went on the town. None recognized her, or else no one cared too much. She stood at la Pont Royale, leaning on the rail and making a call on her personal phone, "Come on Kazzy, pick up." she muttered under here breath as she looked out over the river.
  12. France hereby requests a high-level meeting between our government and the government of Alvonia to discuss matters of security, border issues, trade, and Switzerland.
  13. The Empire of Great Britain Millions the world over are proud to call themselves Britons, subjects of His Majesty the King. Hallmark of free government, the Empire is the proud overseer of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Its capital is London and it is indeed a mighty city, as we are told by Samuel Johnson: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." With goodwill and peaceful intentions for all nations, the British people extend their hands in friendship, seeking brotherhood and to establish close ties with all those who admire liberty and justice. ooc: very sleepy... more tomorrow...
  14. Leader of the Dark Claws: "We have been waiting thousands of years for this day. The day we can finally strike back against the Light Dragons!" Adria's training is nearly completed but now she must face the most powerful enemy the world has ever seen. Adria: "They will destroy everything we have fought so hard for unless we find a way to stop them." Jesse: "I know Adria. That is why you will be joining up with Jake and his squad." Adria joins forces with the new Delta Squad but will they be enough to stop this ancient enemy before it is too late? Jake: "So what is the plan Adria?" Adria: "Lets kick some Dark Claw ass!" And what other secrets will be revealed before it is over? Adria: "There is something you are not telling me Jesse!" Jesse: "There is a lot of stuff I don't tell you and it is for your own protection. You cant change into a human like me, our mother, Lee, and Jake can and if the rest of the world knew about you there is no telling what would happen!" Keep your eyes on this new CNRPA story and you will find out.
  15. Declaration of the Confederacy A deal has been struck in Fredericton, New Brunswick to unify the Northern States of the Atlantic (NSA, containing Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine), and the East Canadian Federation (ECF, including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward island, and Anticosti island) (and all associated territories) into a single, unified Confederate Republic of the North Atlantic. Among the concessions made were the abandonment of the FPTP system of elections, the instatement of French as a national language alongside English, and the devolvement of several important powers to the individual states which are now unified under the Confederate government. National elections will soon be had for a President and a new legislative body to represent the interests of all constituent states.
  16. From the abandoned fishing villages in Kaliningrad to the frigid shores of Murmansk to the massive, empty industrial plants of Magnitogorsk to the sun-baked resorts of the Black Sea, the Soviet flag continued to flutter. Just barely. The cities of Moscow and Petrograd were little more than a bunch of blackened husks that lined their gnarled streets, equally as irradiated as the former city of Novgorod had been. The same fate had befallen other cities such as Rostov, Kalinin (Tver), Yaroslavl, Kazan, and Saratov. Other neighboring cities such as Tula, Ryazan, Vladimir, and Kaluga were deemed "unhabitable" due to high radiation levels. Moscow Many others, such as Stalingrad, Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod), Ulyanovsk, Sverdlovsk, Molotov (Perm), Ufa, Chelyabinsk, and Ordzhonikidze (Grozny), however, miracleously escaped that fate, and were unsurprisingly bustling with new life, having replaced Petrograd and Moscow as Russia's core cities. With much of the Central Committee vaporized, and many administrative officials perished, the surviving Politburo members had taken refuge in Stalingrad, designating it the "temporary capital." In theory, Soviet authority extended to the pre-apocalyptic borders. In practice, it was much limited, with considerable lands outside Stalingrad's control. The peasants were virtually in control of much of the Tambov region - or at least, the non-radioactive ones - and the Donbass, while "warlords" ruled over scattered tracts of lands in between the irradiated cities. A "Vostokslav Extraordinary Committee" ruled over the eastern regions, technically reporting to Stalingrad, but actually independent in all but name. The same went for the "Karelia Soviet Federated Socialist Republic" that encompassed much of the Murmansk and Karelian regions, and which supposedly acted in accordance to the Politburo's wishes. Kaliningrad was virtually a country of its own, conducting trade and diplomacy with other neighboring nations while swearing fealty to the Soviet government. While Soviet authority was extremely shaky, at best, in the north and east, it was strongest in the south, including the festive Chechen and Dagestani regions, ironically enough. When the Chechens and Dagestanis attempted to make a grab for independence during the Second Apocalypse, Soviet troops, police officers, and NKVD agents were quick to brutally quash them, committing massive executions, and the Politburo quickly made it clear that Soviet authority over them were "paramount" as with the rest of the country. Given the situation taking place across the country, the Politburo, led by newly-appointed First Secretary Dmitri Volgin, who had replaced the perished Markov, struggled to maintain "unity" and to present an impression of an unified Russian community to the world at large. The government was busy rebuilding and expanding any existing infrastructure, reorganizing the Red Army, winning over the minds and hearts of the surviving population, and rebuilding itself in an attempt to re-assert control over what they termed the "Wayward Regions". They had their work cut out for them, but that barely mattered, for the Revolution had prevailed!
  17. By popular demand Generalissimo's foray into CNRP-A will be a serious endeavor. After years of playing not-very-serious roleplaying nations I will do a stab at normality. Thus begging the question - what is a serious Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear? Yes, a serious nation with absurd geography and nomenclature. Still going to stay rather serious elsewhere. I am open to suggestions and input before posting my nation's existence. Let's hear what our (extended) community has to say!
  18. A name from the history books, a once holy and powerful knightly order brought low by treachery and vanquished. The name lived on in the pages of novels, games and other sources but the true order was dead. Or so it was thought, in truth a secret pact had been made, one made as a precaution against the end of times for the order. For hundreds of years they select few had waited passing down their knowledge and duty to their descendants. Finally the time had arrived. The order was to be reborn. Grand Master Guillaume de Beaujeu was the currently leader of the newly arisen order and with his influential backers among the Sicilian elite he managed to secure the island for the order. Of course his backers had their own plans for the order but they were swiftly dashed when the Grand Master ordered them to spend at least half of their vast fortunes on improving the lives of the citizens of the island. The intelligent ones did as he asked while the slower men and women refused and were swiftly removed from power by the order, exiled from the island and their fortunes seized. Life under the Knights Templar was good for the populace of Sicily, services were maintained at a high level, security was provided by the Knights and the order was always ready to provide funds if the citizens required them. The only stipulation to taking these funds that at least one of their sons or daughters serve in the order's military arm for a five year period. Crime was all but non existent as security and law and order were heavily enforced by the Templar Knights with many law breakers receiving heavy punishments for their actions. This however, was deemed acceptable to the Knights Templar as order was what they expected and aspired to above all else. With the island of Sicily firmly and securely under the order's control and with a small but highly trained military arm in place, with plenty of room for growth, it was time to announce the order's return to the globe. Grand Master de Beaujeu would release the following statement globally: "Ladies and Gentlemen of the world, I am Grand Master Guillaume de Beaujeu of the Knights Templar. Many years ago our order was all but destroyed by the actions of the King of France and his supporters but we have survived in secret. We had hidden and waited for the right time to emerge and now is that time. The order bears now ill will towards France for what happened, for those who committed these acts against us are different to the people who now live in France." "We the Knights Templar only have one true desire for this world, to achieve a world of order. A world where we can all live in peace and prosperity. We have done so in Sicily where the people now have safe and prosperous lives and face little threat from the likes of criminals and malcontents. We invite you all ladies and gentlemen to work with us to achieve this goal of a world of order and hope that together we can make this a reality. Thank you".

All New French States have also been sure to have proper governments. The States have been officially named by Clovis I, named Georgia, Carolina, Virginia, Transylvania, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Main, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
  24. The plan had gone off without a hitch. Earth was unable to use space, probably for several generations. The humans under Druk Yul had built a masterful mars base and the Dragonisians had used them to get there in mass. They no longer had use for the humans. Maelstrom called into the mars base ahead of his arrival, "Dread Space, kill anyone there who isn't one of us." Dread Space responded back, "Affirmative, beginning the extermination of the homo-sapiens." Dread went to the weapons lockers and got the smokeless powder pistols. He went through the colony and systematically exterminated all human helpers. "Sorry, your usefulness has been outlived." In those few shots the only humans off of earth save the ones on the space station and moon had been exterminated. The ones on those outposts had no idea now whom it was they served and relied upon. "We need to begin work on getting more payloads back to earth.. we need to put more junk in its orbit, increase the density of the debris cloud. We don't want anyone getting off that rock. Make methane extraction for fuel production a higher priority." Dread barked to his crew. In the meantime around the poles of mars mirrors had been situated focusing sunlight onto the polar icecaps attempting to get the icecaps to slowly sublimate over time and increase atmospheric density. Right now it was difficult to breathe anywhere outside of Hellas. ooc: Let me be very clear this time, no ooc beyond this point. This is an IC thread, don't like what you see? Go complain elsewhere. Do not post here unless you are seriously intending to participate in the rp with something based on your cn nation.
