RedCommunist's Achievements

  1. I, RedCommunist of the DDR, hereby surrender to Fark. I feel the ongoing conflict between the NSO and Fark, and the fact the initial alliances that caused said war have since peaced, is unjust. It has been brought to my attention the NSO is not looking for peace. I feel the best course of action is surrender to my enemies as I do not agree with fighting them. With this said I also resign from the NSO as I feel the government does not represent me and the alliance as a whole is not the right place for me. Such are the surrender terms by Fark that I will comply with, although 2 and 3 have been given an extension so I can redeploy my soldiers to decommission them. 1. Peace out of all wars. 2. Decommission soldiers down to no more than 50% of your working citizens for the duration of the terms. 3. Decommission all tanks for the duration of the terms. 4. Decommission nuclear weapons for the duration of the terms. 5. Decommission military Improvements except for those needed to keep an SDI. 6. Post your resignation from your alliance in the public resignation thread on the OWF here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=213 7.Switch your AA to Fark POW until the conflict is over or you are released, whichever comes first. 8. Do not re enter the conflict, including spying on Fark or nations on AA's allied to Fark. 9. Do not send aid to anyone fighting in the conflict for its duration. 10. Failure to comply with terms will result in a resumption of hostilities. DDR: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=80895
  2. Chron, thank you, although EvilCommie is Soviet Sovereignty, not me. I am looking forward to it as well. Personally though, I'd prefer that they just agree that the NS NPO and CN NPO have different government structures (which is truth no matter how you spin it) and agree to release control of the word.
  3. The Revolution acted as a rallying point at the time; and established our philosophy. It held a practical stance since it changed politics forever in the other world. That is the beauty of this thread; the Revolution is a symbol of being oppressed. It stood for when the NPO was not at the top of the game. "Do something about it" are not the ideals of the Revolution. See this is a perfect example of how the Revolution is seen now, 6 years later, from those who are oppressed. The Revolution has an ultimate goal, a grand design...or it did. Now it is used by what few Revolutionaries are left in the NPO to explain anything they come up with. You are correct though, the Revolution was about challenging people to better themselves and better everyone so we are something; more then just individuals. The August Revolution to me was progress and direction; friendship and fun. It allowed us to fight against all odds with people with similar ideas while giving us purpose and the ability to build something from nothing. All in all, it made a unplayable game very playable. It made a game that had no substance last for four years of very active members. What does it mean now? It gives us a direction and purpose; a way to keep growing and being successful. Why settle and scare off new people? As for the ideals of peace, strength, prosperity, and the goals of the revolution? Peace: The ability for a nation to exist without fear of being harassed, raided, oppressed, destroyed. The ability for a nation to avoid taking arms against other nations if he so chooses so. Prosperity: The ability for a nation to grow under it's own direction. For the collective good to benefit from the fruits of the labors of every member. The creation of a strong government and social network that can last years. Strength: Economic, political, and military control of our domain. It is also individual strength; the ability to motivate people to find their true passions and skills; ones that can be used for the betterment of the whole as well was the ability to keep the person entertained and active in the group. The goals of the Revolution: Simply put; creation of an organization that protects and exerts the ideals of Peace, Prosperity, and Strength. But of course you can! The New Pacific Order here is not the Revolution; there is no way I can stress this enough. The New Pacific Order is to be the vanguard of the Revolution; much like the Soviet Union was the revolutionary front of the Marxist ideal...but the Soviet Union was not over Marxist philosophy, they could be separated and often were due to the course of the nation over the Soviet Union's history. New Frontier's interpretation is very different from any I've heard; but who is to say he is wrong? If that is what he needs to believe to change the world, then what is wrong with it? Who is to say there is only one correct view of the Revolution? What is the Revolution, really? I'll explain that in my political statement following this. The topic never covered that should have been mentioned years ago is this; the New Pacific Order's philosophy is Pacificism, not Francoism. What is Francoism and Pacificism; what are the differences? What is the Revolution to look like and how has it failed in the NPO? Francoism is a term that was never used by Francos Spain and all the founding political works on it were wrote by people who were not Francos Spain. Not to mention the original use, in the other world, can not be applied in this world. Francoism, as described by Vladimir, is the separation between Userites and Feederites. That is all well and good, but Francos Spain never touched on a class struggle during his revolution. The August Revolution and philosophy of Francos Spain were practical, not philosophical. I argue that Francoism is the political ideology behind the goals of the August Revolution and the establishment of the New Pacific Order. These goals being peace, prosperity, and strength. The government of the New Pacific Order was that of a benevolent dictator under a Soviet style government; six senators (cabinet members) who just helped organize the organization and run it. It had Roman themes but a lot was taken from the Soviet Union. The August Revolution occurred because outside nations moved into the region and occupied it; hence the first principle of peace. Peace was established by the creation of a military force to defend The Pacific and keep the NPO is power. The NPO never took direct imperialistic measures and never fought wars other then defense. On several occasions spies were used to subvert control and take other regions; but still The Pacific forces would stay still and make no comment on these outside issues. Simply put, isolationism was the stance of the NPO. It held one alliance for a long time, to the USSR, until it began to expand alliances to other feeder regions and the Union of Sovereigns. Prosperity was ensured by the creation of a government where the people of the region had a say. Finally the people of the region could do what they wanted and didn't have to be directed to a foreign government. This allowed people to be as active or inactive as they wanted; without fear of punishment. As long as they didn't assist in losing the region, they were not ejected. Strength was established by a strong culture, played heavily off the Soviet Union. This helped motivate people to use their skills on the forums and created a thriving community, some of which we see here today. The strength was the will power of the people; to unlock the individual and make him apart of the collective; the idea of a meritocracy was in place for government positions. One man can perish, but his ideas will live forever. So how did the NPO in CN fail at this? Peace was shattered by the imperialistic invasions by the NPO into other alliances; as well was the alliance webs it has become tangled in. The NPO should have never lost a war since it should have never fought one. As a member of the NPO, you are forced to fight for the NPO. That makes sense, expect when you have no say on who we are fighting or why. I could care little about other alliances, so why am I losing my people over them? Now becomes the argument of, "You're a coward because you don't want to lose pixels." I find the point of the game to be different; build an economic superpower and play the diplomatic world. I will fight a war, as long as it makes sense; and few do when you are ordered to so do. Shot by an enemy you don't hate or by your commander you've known for years. Prosperity is something lost in the NPO by all the focus on military might. So much micromanagement of nations; don't build this, buy this, save your money...ect ect, all punishments if you fail to obey. Well if I am in peace mode for 15 days with no explanation and I'm losing a million a day from doing nothing and then you want me to buy a national wonder I don't want or need while I've been saving for another....I feel like the prosperity has been taken away. Strength; because of such a massive class system created in the NPO, the internal strife is always there. Not to mention the turn over rate is so high because people have no reason to get involved. It went from a fun place to meet cool and interesting people, to an organization focused on building a war machine with no substance to keep people interested while they are building up armies. So what is Pacificsm? Well, in January of 2006 the New Pacific Order was created in Cybernations by members of the other game. Most were not NPO members; in fact most were the mortal enemies of the NPO and PRP following. When the organization was created we formed together with no leader and voted for one. We also voted and formed a style of government. One that was more like the People's Republic of The Pacific; a republic as opposed to a dictatorship. There was a single leader who was elected and ruled until he gave up his spot and two councils who ran the government for him, both were filled with elected positions. This is already completely different from the NPO of old. The government formed and evolved into what we have today. One leader who was picked by the previous to rule, one elected council with no power (I've served on it several times), imperial officers (cabinet or senators if you will) with unlimited power, then the rest. The NPO in CN, when founded, looked to become the most power alliance and just protect our own. Peace, prosperity, and strength. Now the NPO fights wars, limits growth, uses nepotism instead of a meritocracy, and has lost it's power to inactivity. Pacificism is what Francoism was; the physical idea behind the government. The whole structure of an Emperor with Imperial Advisors and such is what Pacificism is. If a government wanted to emulate the CN NPO, it would be based on Pacificism and not Francoism. So here is my issue; I want to make it clear Francoism and Pacificism are different. But who owns the word? Logic would give more justification to my views on it since I base it on what is physical, not what we feel Francos might have meant. I could say it all I want, I could have you all sit here and agree with me...but does that mean that New Pacific Order would stop saying Francoism and start saying Pacificism? No, they will keep using it. I just hope one day that logic and reason will be the accepted method of truth. This is fairly short and wrote fairly quick, I will take questions on it. I expect lots of responses from the NPO that will quote post-NS examples, giving proof to Pacificism, as well was personal attacks. I will only respond to real questions and intelligent responses. Also, Pacifica is not apart of the August Revolution or Francoism; it is The Pacific. Stop using that term or else you are only further proving my point.
  4. I will try and answer all I can with the best information I can provide in the format of your comment then my response. I am no longer a member of the NPO, mind that. Daboo has the best questions so all those will be answered at the end and I will follow this with a little philosophy of my own. We kill because we are afraid of our own shadow, afraid that if we used a little common sense we'd have to admit that our glorious principles were wrong. ~Henry Miller, The Wisdom of the Heart, 1941 It is easier to lead men to combat, stirring up their passions, than to restrain them and direct them toward the patient labors of peace. ~André Gide, Journals, 13 September 1938 Well I am glad someone can find some similarity in my vague post; but comrade, an August Revolutionary and a Pacific Revolutionary are different. Anyone who fights for the betterment of our people is a Pacific Revolutionary. He does not currently play CyberNations. Where he is; that my friend is the most guarded secret in the NPO. He didn't get banned. He was deleted shortly once by accident in the other world. There are a lot of comment on what he would think of the CN NPO. Some supportive, some against. We will never know; but logic and reason about support that he wouldn't have been a member. Don't always believe what you read...although sometimes the unlikely is possible. He was not banned. The Revolution was for The Pacific, but the ideals are for anyone who will take a stand for what must be done for us; the common people of planet bob. Yes, it is. This is correct; the Revolution is not limited to one alliance. There is no way one people can claim they have ownership over a political movement. Although I disagree with you; the Revolution does not change or evolve. For "their" purpose it does; but the Revolution does not. The ideals and goals are still the same, with anything different being it's own singular revolutionary movement. The Revolution we speak of is that of Francos Spain; not just the disobedience to the general state of the world; those are their own revolutions and their own ideals. Some correct other revolutions, some just make more problems. What do you consider to be the "old guard"? Of those from the other world NPO, it is evenly split; from the other world PRP, it is very different because of the political landscape of that situation. Regardless, many of the older members who no longer are apart of the NPO are kept silent by the issue discussed elsewhere in this thread; making the Revolution fit their actions as they go along. It makes it near impossible to even hold a valid argument when you say, "he said this" and the counter, "Well, he said that, but he meant this and we know this because we just do." It just isn't worth debating with logic such as that. Francoism and Sith Philosophy are very different, the main similarity is the goal of motivation. Of course you could argue all ideologies are meant to motivate people to step up their game. Those who hold the Revolution dear are many; those who know what the Revolution is won't be as numerous. There is really nothing else I need say; this sums it up perfectly. Well, not quite. They were fed up with other regions in The Pacific and wanted to keep their cool region to hang out in without the drunken guy who shows up at a party just to steal the keg.
  5. Forgot Doppelganger but yeah don't know LV's new screen name so not sure if he is playing. Last I heard he quit.
  6. In the year of Revolution, 2003, there came about a political force standing for all that was right in a world filled with wrong. Every year I write a long-winded speech praising the ideals set forth by the founders of this group, but now I do so just out of tradition. On August 28, 2003, hundreds of people sick of tyranny in The Pacific helped form a revolution that ousted the monarch and put in place a benevolent dictator, Francos Spain. I can say I am proud to have served with such a great man and in such a historical event. I stood for those ideals set forth by this group when the revolutionaries formed the government that was named the New Pacific Order. Until the dissolution of the group the following year, I served as a citizen within that group. When it disbanded due to Francos Spain leaving due to personal issues, the People's Republic of The Pacific formed. Although similar to the New Pacific Order, it compromised ideals for the organization to be accepted. I never agreed with this and rarely took part in that group. Then comes 2006 when several of us from the People's Republic of The Pacific joined CyberNations and reformed the New Pacific Order. Moving along from this history lesson is the point; on this day six years ago, a great group of people formed a government that has indirectly lasted six years. A government meant to serve the people, dedicated to peace, prosperity, and strength. I will forever stand for a group that holds the same ideals. I hear the current propaganda from the New Pacific Order claim the revolution is not over. I would agree to this, but the revolution is reserved to those looking for peace, prosperity, and strength; not an established government that exerts the opposite. I will never stop fighting, I will always be an August Revolutionary, and maybe the last. - RedCommunist, August Revolutionary
  7. Hail the August Revolution! Hail the New Pacific Order! Hail Francos Spain! And for those of us who were there that are around now; Sir Paul, Mussolandia, Vladimir, and myself. May we never forget.
  8. Look all this spy talk is silly; while I don't condone spying I fully support an individual obtaining information that is considered secret or confidential without the permission of the holder of the information. So how about we all agree and stop talking about spies? Point of this thread; Altered Beast is one of the best Sega Genesis games, behind Michael Jackson's Moonwalker of course.
  9. DDR! Happy bday man. Hows it going man?

    Long time no speak.
