We have a word for that where I come from. Overcompensation. ODN's history up to that point had been bailing out of one conflict after another, and always at the expense of one of their so-called 'allies.' Then came a time when they realized they wouldn't be allowed to run anymore, and only then did they discover their sense of loyalty. Do try to understand if I'm entirely impressed.

The alliance you're thinking of is The Legion.

  2.

Are you asking me be an interpreter, cause as far as I can tell excluding the spelling error it's in English. If you were wanting me to point out instances in which TLR was attacking the integrity of alliances they are at war with than you should ask that I do that instead of translating. This thread and numerous other threads should provide enough material that I shouldn't need to point out what I am talking about.

So as a member of an alliance I am not allow to have a poor view of your alliance?  Is that what you are whining about?

  3. Like I asked earlier, do you expect Umbrella to be forever indebted to you? It's politics. It's happened many times before, and will happen again in the future. If we all stayed in the same groups with the same allies, we would all be bored playing out the most repetitive wars ever. This is where TOP and Polar excel, politics. Umbrella is just along for the ride with their closest ally, TOP. Did you expect them to do anything different?

Also, talking about how good your own speech was, is lame.

How quaint, Starfox calling me lame.

Rousing was not talking about how good a speech I gave. It was a way to describe the tone of the speech, as in a rallying the troops around the flag. Saying "OMG I GAVE THIS AWESOMELY GREAT SPEECH" would be saying how good the speech was. And those words never came out of my mouth in anyway other than sarcastically. Go find a dictionary. It can help out with things like this.

Plus, ask anyone, I am pretty lame.

I accept the reality of everything. Doesn't mean I don't look back on it with regret. But hey, apparently I am supposed to be happy about the fact that they have had influence on the decisions of two of my allies that could be help with the defense of my alliance/bloc instead of being part of the dog pile on the other side.

We've been down before, we've been up before and we have always kept on ticking. That's what we are going to continue to do.

EDIT: Apparently editing a post with a quote in it breaks the quote. Oops.

  4. To GATO: Yes, I very much appreciated your role in our coalition in the anti-BIBO war. Every single alliance was a great help, and it was great fun "losing" the war in the style that we did.

That said, you are in an enemy coalition, and you are having free reign in the upper tier. We had to help out.

Beyond that, you did not fight for Umbrella, per se, you fought for your partners in C&G. And if we were beholden to every alliance that has ever fought for us, for allies of allies or allies of allies of allies ad infinitum, we would never face war at all.

During the last war there were many alliances in the coalition that wanted to leave Umbrella on the battlefield at the end and I, as part of the triumvirate for TLR, gave a rousing speech to the coalition about how we were all in this together and that we would not leave an alliance still fighting while the rest of us got peace.

Ask me how I feel about that speech right about now.

  5. Did they burned 3 billion just in 1 short war? Fark put alliances like NG in high regard because they know how to fight, but you with your mouth?

1 short war? Rush and I were engaged from day 1 in the last war we entered until the day we exited. We were triple teamed every cycle due to competent planning by our competition. Between fighting and rebuilding, I blew through 4 billion in the same time frame as Rush.  The last war was not a "short war."  3 months of upper and middle tier fighting.  Does FARK even know what an upper tier is?

  6. That is because I haven't. In fact when the NG position was unrecoverable yes, when I was asked how about them getting hit my response was "have at it".

Don't worry that will be spun too. Particularly when I would not agree to more war on CnG.. you know the group that was not a target of the war.

Old friend, logic has no place here.

  7. Oh I don't know, something along the lines of further beating up parties in the "competence" coalition, of which many parties in the eQ coalition had a vested interest in doing?  That seems like the obvious elephant in the room.

So beating on someone just because you could?  Wasn't that a charge that was levied against us at the beginning of the conflict?

No one forced anyone to accept peace. You guys could have said no...but you didn't.

  8. Actually, IRON dropped NPO for putting the protection of CnG over the needs and wants of the overall eQ coalition in which they were a part of, nothing to do with support.  Did you even bother to read the OP?

    I read the OP.

How dare they at least consider the needs of their other allies that were not in their coalition. There were times where I lobbied for NPO's needs to MK and they didn't turn around and drop us at the end of the war. I probably did that more than NPO lobbied for us or NG.

What exactly were the needs and wants of the overall coalition? I am not even sure you guys can answer that.

  9. ...it means you should seriously re-evaluate your opinion, to finish your first thought.

On your second thought, likewise. I'm not sure what your problem is with us, but it appears we won't be exchanging valentines any time soon. Oh well.

Why would you want to exchange valentines with us anyways? You just dropped NPO because you claimed they supported us more than they supported you.
