  1. Most (if not all) tech buyers are happy to send the money first and wait 10 days to get their tech although larger deals in which 3 buyers and 3 sellers (or 5 buyers and 5 sellers) get together are also common. In those cases you receive the money from one buyer and send tech to the other two buyers. The cost of tech is going up so most tech buyers are very happy to find a reliable seller who sells 100 tech for 3 million. Typically it is easier to trust a seller who is a member of an alliance and has been with them for a couple of days (at least). There have been cases of nations taking the money and not paying the tech but they typically don't get very far.
  2. First person to post here gets the deal (if they fulfill war and alliance requirements). in-game pms will be ignored. Edit: Slot has been taken
  3. Done - Bibiophile gets the deal. Sorry Baron - I don't send money to nations that have been a member of their alliance for less than a day.
  4. Check under world statistics and then under demographics.
  5. The number of citizens that you get from each level of infra depends on your modifiers (resources and improvements and wonders). I currently get around 11 citizens per infra.
  6. Global Radiation Levels are starting to drop quite fast which means that we will hopefully all see our populations recover pretty soon. Does anyone have any estimates of when it will be back below 5.00? Current levels are 9.56 but we are up to 14 or so just a week or so ago. Perhaps someone has been able to crunch the numbers.
  7. I think you may have misunderstood the benefits of water. Your nation gets hit with unhappiness penalties when the population density is too high. By having water the threshold where that penalty kicks in is raised by 50/mile (at least that's how I understand it). Water is still a great resource - especially when combined with others for bonus resources (e.g., beer). Hold on to it.
  8. Ha Ha - nice to see another Hofstadter fan playing this game.
  9. I doubt whether anyone will give money to a nation involved in three wars with MHA - chances of ever seeing tech appear low. Nice try though :-)
  10. Not really that expensive - I've been paying that for a while now - will have slot open in a day and will pm you then.
  11. Could be too high population density, or the wrong government type.
  12. Dude, I sent you an offer and you canceled on me despite the fact that you have no active aid offers. Please stop wasting my time.
  13. I think nations will be quite hesitant to send money to a nation not in an alliance - chances are you will get raided and then loose our money/tech.
  14. Defintely get a wonder asap - Social Security or Stock Exchange. You also have really great starting resources and could probably do a lot better with trades than what you currently have. Just my $0.02 worth.
  15. I think that for a nation of his size +5 happiness translates into a lot more than a 5% jump in income. I am quite a bit bigger than him and a +5 happiness wonder would increase my happiness (and hence income) by around 8% which translates into about 10% jump in net income. For him the effect of +5 happiness would be even bigger. I stand to be corrected of course.
  16. What Bob said. Focus on getting good trades and then infra, infra, and then some more infra. You need to get your population up which allows you to rapidly acquire improvements, which gives you happiness, money and more population - which ultimately can be translated into that military might you so crave. Focusing on tech and military in the early stages is highly counterproductive.
  17. Yeah - you need more tech and also probably have a very low environment score which is killing your population. Either get yourself some border walls for the environment bonus or tweak your trades a bit. Your population density may also be too high so consider buying more land.
  18. Yeah - the typical price is now often 3 million for 50 tech.
  19. I think that you need to focus on getting that environment score down. 7.94 is scary high and killing your population count. I have about a 10:1 ratio of working citizen population: infrastructure. For you this figure appears to be closer to 7:1 which means that you could get about 7000 extra working citizens if you got your environment under control.
