  1. Yeah I have to say I thought the absurd overkill of blowing up their in-game war flag was a nice touch. What if the real reward was the Polar's we became along the way ❤️
  2. *Laughs in 'has been already fighting Doom for over 2 years'* Yeah, you tell him. You may want to check in on that sentiment with some of your cannon fod- I mean coalition-mates who you aren't allied to.
  3. I find this hard to believe, not because I think that you've done something to cause them to want to hit you (they were your allies in a not too distant past afterall) but I think you do know everyone and their mother hitting CCC was part of a strategic blunder to coax your allies into defending you and attempting to pitch the battlefield according to the terms of your opponent. It's not so much cowardice, just incompetence and lack of initiative.
  4. You do indeed, there was also a NAP treaty that preceded it but I don't think LoSS were part of that but I can't remember what it was even called so I could be wrong.
  5. Well naturally, I'm more inclined to make it clear that I view most leaders with disdain- honesty is the best policy. Though it begs the question; who among us would be so duplicitous to pretend they like someone?
  6. Agreed; Anarchy is the only acceptable form/lack of government. The great thing is even if you don't have anyone to grant you the blessing or Anarchy, you can always inflict it upon yourself like any other type government but it will cost a small fee to do so. Worth it for the secret Anarchy perks though. The odd one has always been odd, usually not to this extent though. I guess they must be feeling overexcited- which is a welcome change of pace around here even if it is barely literate!
  7. My point was based on reading between the (limited) lines provided and your coalition seems to be relatively complacent in the belief they will achieve victory simply knowing they have greater spending power. Also it was made out of curiousity to coax a more detailed response delineating what a victory would look like like for your coalition. I'm equally curious what victory would be defined as by the other coalition. I think a significant portion of your opposition are unlikely to surrender and will continue to ankle bite until the cows come home, I'd even go as far to suggest they don't expect to win on a statistical level (Having your enemies forever beyond reach means the only war they can wage is a proxy war utilising aid slots, DBDC know this pretty well) The simple fact that they've launched the war in the first place is what they may consider the victory- but I'm not them or you so this is pure speculation on my part. The question for your coalition is whether or not your ankles are capable of biting back for however long it takes to deplete their warchests; the question for theirs is how long they can maintain the morale to keep fighting against a considerable statistical disadvantage. When a war grinds on for an indefinite period of time; the rank and file will become fatigued and get tired of logging in to perpetuate the same grind day in and out. Even if they are constantly being funded eventually it ceases to be fun when no clear objective is presented or there is no visible evidence of progress- wars of attrition require something more than the mere capacity to bankroll fighters indefinitely. Unfortunately I think we're well past the point of any meaningful changes made to the mechanics, I've seen countless suggestions come and go which could have improved things for the better. It's very much a case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted, the dwindling pool of remaining players makes any major shift in game mechanics a risky venture (especially if you consider people who have spent RL money on donations to get a bit further ahead). I do like the idea of tech trees which encourage people to specialise in different areas but I don't know how that could be implemented in such a late-game circumstance that we find ourselves in- especially when the planet is currently in the middle of a global war. True. If there was a reliable metric for self-loathing this would come pretty close.
  8. The CB being they were colluding with KNB/DBDC during and after the Prohibition Era conflict against the interests of COBRA? If this wasn't the case why did RT advocate so hard for them to be included in the peace treaty? Or request that White Chocolate be part of the negotiations (when she had previously been side-by-side with KNB/Banned during that conflict against us)? Or publicly petition I grant 'Mercy for the Mouse' for KNB in exchange for peace? Or propose that if you lifted the sanction on TDE then the sanctions placed on us by DBDC might also be lifted? If anything the peace negotiations all but confirmed I was right
  9. You're right, you did indeed want it in writing but what I said isn't incorrect. You made the request for TPF to sign after Kapleo made heated comments toward KoRT which you argued could be seen as a potential threat, therefore you wanted TPF to sign the treaty as a pre-cautionary measure to ensure they would not launch attacks on your alliance after ending hostilities with COBRA- this included your request to lift the sanction on your member which pre-dated the War of Nurture. Kapleo agreed to sign the treaty (reluctantly) for the sake of achieving peace, despite having no real intention to attack KoRT and had no direct involvement in the war between COBRA and KoRT.
  10. This has been the case before as well, you can have an untouchable upper-tier pumping aid to your cash strapped troops all you want but you still have to make sure they use the money properly, otherwise you're just making piggybanks for the opponent to smash open. Personally I think it's a bit weak that your side's idea of victory is contingent on the fact that you've got the biggest piles of gold as a result of not doing anything for years. People who have poorer warchests are better players than people who are sat on billions because they've at least been playing the game beyond back-collecting and doing tech deals. It'd be interesting if there was some kind of inflation mechanic in place that depreciated the spending power of people who have absurd warchests and do nothing with it for years, or conversely increased the spending power for nations who actively use their cash. It would present a chance to meaningfully rebalance the playing field and create an incentive for people to try and catch up to the larger nations, as well as for the larger nations needing to participate more to maintain their positions.
  11. In fairness some of 'em weren't that bad at fighting, but they weren't they that good either. We were happily holding our own despite being half their size and probably could've kept throwing nukes at them for a bit longer if the entirety of Oculus (sans Polar) and RFI (sans FTW) hadn't jumped us. I've no idea how they're performing this war. Gotta say I have no idea why you respect them, they insisted you sign our peace treaty not because you were even at war with them but because you said some vaguely threatening words in public. I respected them a lot more when they at least appeared somewhat independent and self-reliant. That facade disappeared pretty rapidly when it came to negotiating peace and it became clear that they were (as initially suspected when COBRA declared war on them) merely another Doomsphere asset. Congrats on your redundant paperwork; Adar o'r un lliw ehedant i'r un lle
  12. It's practically identical to Communism for a war build. Difference being if they don't have a lot of Military when bills are being paid, having the -5% Improvement/Wonder Upkeep reduction may be more cost efficient for them in the long term. During a war; military is being shredded daily and the upkeep is minimal, whereas wonders and improvements aren't getting blown up [OOC] which imo doesn't make a lot of sense. I feel like targetting wonders/improvements as part of an attack is something which could be part of the war mechanic but I digress [/OOC] Sorry I mean; lulz communizm is bad and dat is why
  13. It's good to see at least one of the alliances with the RFD Coalition are actively thinking about their next moves and has the initiative to put them into action! I for one welcome our new Arctic overlords, that other Order is now finally free to take their pipe and slippers to the retirement home in the upper-tiers. You can rest easy now Pacifica, no longer will you be burdened with having to use your power for anything anymore.
  14. Like I said; doesn't matter who. By all means; fire away, I need more dead people. Their bones are being re-purposed for an intergalatic spaceship that will propel Ouroboros from this planet for good.
  15. I 'member LoSS Now pick up a gun and start shooting someone- doesn't matter who.
  16. Hey there CRAP good to see ya! Knock 'em back into range for me to fight them again, you can never be too rich in a target rich environment Godspeed o/
  17. Oh man sorry, that completely went over my head there. I was more thinking of the other members and I associated him with NPO in the end. No disrespect intended there at all
  18. While we're all roaming the graveyard with these shovels, let's find where GGA are buried too.
  19. I have a feeling that treaty might have gotten lost underneath some more relevant paperwork. This is Argent we're talking about afterall
  20. Are you implying that Polaris are leaving Oculus and friends because the battle is lost? Because it's only really cowardly if they're doing it to get out of losing.... Years and years ago I watched the ambitious electric sponge blow up a variety of alliances and there was nothing that resembled cowardice in his approach.
  21. Who the heck even are the Dark Temples anyway? These should be the only two labelled cabinets found in a Ministry of Love, maybe one for "Smalll Joy" but that's pushing it. Also congrats on streamlining your FA policy so that it makes sense and you aren't friends with literally everyone for the sake of having multiple worthless security blankets, you truly have fixed CN- for yourselves at least.
  22. Some nobody who just likes to fight giants for fun. Also why announce anything if you're not gonna put in the effort to give it some gusto eh?
