Shockingly enough, disliking communism and all other forms of totalitarianism is pretty mainstream in most parts of the world. Not exactly edgy or even slightly controversial.

Which world are we talking about? This one is filled with autocrats and totalitarians, which isn't a leadership style mutually exclusive to communist alliances.

As for the world beyond this one; the same applies insofar as you can be both a socialist and opposed to totalitarian dictatorships. I don't wish to debate matters relating to the other world aside from recognising the correlation of viewpoints between people on either world. People who take a rather fatalist stance toward those who would align anywhere left of the centre. It is assumed and repeatedly parrotted that anyone who does is in fact all the way to the left and as a result tend to be the kind of person who would gladly support a totalitarian police state and lick boots until their dying day. The reality on both planets isn't easily defined when viewed through the same polarised perspective ;) You're right though, it's not really edgy or controversial to see things that way. You're just showing your age and there's nothing wrong with that.

Back to more important matters; it seems we have two votes in favour of naming this war "Bundy's Boredom" and I always say you can't go wrong with a good bit of alliteration when naming a war, it helps to make it stick y'know?

I like this satire, on the other hand I'm worried that you may have entirely authored it, it'd seem a waste of talent.

I've had emails from employers which are more or less identical to this which is impressive, however if it's satire then it needs to be punching upward. If you're punching in the direction of ODN in any capacity nowadays then you're aiming down (and speaking as one ghost to another; I mean no offense intended toward any of the ghosts who still roam those desolate orange halls)

This is a forum for people who play Cybernations. LSF, SWF and UCR are alliances in Cybernations. This thread is relevant to current events related to the aforementioned alliances. Hope that helps.

MK made a mistake when they did not forcibly disband NPO and salt the garbage pile from which Pacifica sprang.

MK/Doomhouse successfully beat the snot out of any potential rival and are the only entity that achieved a true victory on this world by leaving behind a mound of rubble in their wake. The failure to prevent any alliance that still stands today from springing back up is owned by the people who stuck around and let it happen.

I mean the overwhelming amount of free aid GATO is sending PGS must really have generated that extra bit of good will.

It certainly doesn't hurt! Though it seems to have really touched a nerve for you ;)

AAs on the opposing side respected Legion's difficult position and did not directly declare on Legion's allies?

Yeah, it was out of 'respect' wasn't it?

    What's the point?

PGS could declare an MDP with a single nation and it'd be equally significant... That's about how involved GATO was in the last war.

If you were that hungry for our involvement your handlers could have always taken a more direct approach, however they seemed to be more inclined to avoid that for some reason.

I read this as The Catatonic Accords and thought, “Wow what a great name for a treaty between two inept AA’s!”

    Congratulations?!

Agreed, someone else has certainly taken up the mantel as worst alliance.

Nah there is more than one contender for WAE, probably enough to draw up a draft and make it a competition like we did in the longlong ago era to decide definitively who the Worst Alliance Ever actually was.

There'll never be another WAE like GGA though imo.

No honorable mention for the honorable Hime Dame Themis? Told me he was coming for justice, declared war on the forums, and then did absolutely nothing but hide in PM.

Shhhhh! Of course not, wouldn't want to say anything bad about the fringe shield.

On topic, I respect and appreciate both these alliances a great deal, both of them are good long term allies to our Order. Nothing has changed from our point of view. Part of me wishes there was some drama though, lord knows this place could use some real drama and not just yelling at whatever alliance affiliation someone might have in the few times when people manage to get worked up to a mild irritation.

    teach me your secrets.

Also yes I generally agree this place could use some drama, some broadcast entertainment perhaps like from days long gone by for example. There's not a great deal to be dramatic about with this unless for the sake of theatrics; a distraught member of the Legion or NATO who might be utterly devastated by the news, openly begins weeping and lamenting the loss of their former treaty partner. Instead both alliances have amicably parted ways and everyone's respective friends are being very polite about it- it's a bit weird actually.

22 hours and not a single "the web gets unwebbier" comment.
    Shame shame

That's because we're all used to the web typically getting webbier, when it gets unwebbier we all put on our serious faces because it's an anomaly.

I don't sense any ill-will between the two alliances or that they've necessarily fallen out. Unlike a treaty you can't really cancel a friendship and I wish both parties luck going forward (mainly our allies in Legion though ofc)

There's tons of timeless humor in CN.

    For example: GATO.

It's true, our comedy clubs have been open and a real hoot since time began in this world. Once you fill in the appropriate paperwork anyway.
