1.
I'm sorry to see this happen. Now I'm even up in the air about whether a paperless route is the route to go. I thought friendships could exist even without, and maybe this is notice that we have no friendship amongst us, I do not know honestly. I for one would of protested any declaration of TOP hitting FOK in any arena and will continue to do my best to see both parties regain our friendship? I'm just kind of speechless on this one. To me this is the same as Umbrella, Argent, or Gremlins hitting us. Something I never, thought possible. I suppose I'm naive though.
It is amazing how short a memory some people have (and like to twist facts and intentions), and how easy it is to say "But we don't have a treaty woth them". I think FOK made the wrong decision this time (after quite a bit of discussion).
That being said, I wish FOK the best of luck and I suppose I'm still sacrificing my pixels for people I hold in the highest regard, even if they are being sacrificed towards those people. Again words escape me, and I must say the only thing appropriate here is, I'm sorry. Both as a TOP member that has allowed our friendship to degrade to this point, and as the person who proposed a pre-emp attack on your treaty partners. I truly am sorry that you are in the position you are in, due in large part to my own actions.
I think TOP's attack was a wrong choice. I think FOK's attack is the wrong choice. We still seem to have a lot in common. Good luck to both sides. Regards, Jan Doedel. Edit:
Can someone from TOP address this? More specifically the aiding their wartime combatants part. Since apparently its been ignored by everyone but Saber who decided to ignore it and just make an entirely unrelated comment.
I've counted about 20 aid packets the last week. While I can understand that the opposite side is short on cash and TOP is one of the few places to get it, it did hit a sore spot with a few of us.
2.
In fact, it is the second most popular fruit in the world second only to the apple.
That's like comparing apples to oranges. Regards, Jan Doedel.
3. I have to say that, after reading this thread, you do seem to be one of the more skilled diplomats in Invicta. Regards, Jan Doedel.
4. No, it's a question. Please point to where I said that Purple nations can't read? Exactly, you can't. I pointed out that there apparently were Purple nations that could not read (or were a moron, or even both), or else this would not be an issue. It looks that you're the one that's in the category 'cannot read, and may or may not be Purple'. We'll see if this turns into a war. But it didn't start with war, or anything that comes close. Or maybe they go for quality. If the other Purple alliances that have an issue with mass messaging would do that, they would not need to have an issue with mass messaging. There you go. Now prove how I don't get these? Oh, I see. You can't. 2 this week, more last week, I'm sure I'm going to get some more next week. If I'm getting them, other people are also getting them (or I'm unique, whaich I don't claim I am). Then you can ask the nice people at Stickmen to not do so. But since they have done so, it would be easier for the Purple nations involved to ignore the message, if they are capable of the fact. Follow> Ah, so I can wildly assume that you would have said something, and then accusing you of such? How juvinile. I follow the 'rtfm' philospohy. I recommend it. Actually, it is. Regards, Jan Doedel.
5. Can't find anything else to complain about? Not reaching at all. If they read the message and then vote for the person they don't want to vote for, they're morons. If they don't read the message and still vote for the person they don't want to vote for, they're morons or they can't read (or both). I like it how you try to make this incident a war, and not an invitation to vote for a senator. I also like it how you try to to blame Stickmen for the fact that apparently a lot of people can't or don't read a message before doing exactly as they're asked by someone they don't know, who isn't even in their own alliance. I'm very thankful I'm on Orange. I'm sure that there are some lazy people in Stickmen, but apparently they have a lot of active people as you can see by the many message they have sent. Also, read herring. Of course you're not going to argue against this, since you have shown no proof and I have. Therefore, you have no choice but to concede. I've never claimed I received more messages then I do, but if I did I probably could trick someone into thinking that, if I wanted to. Yeah, people are stupid. My point exactly. The amount of work was not up for debate, as far as I know. I have Lumber/water. I'm sorry you're feeling neglected, and if I ever need iron and uranium, I'll be sure to send you an offer. Exactly. Both are strategically valuable. Yeah, my words exactly. Oh, wait... Regards, Jan Doedel.
6. No. Again, no. Apparently they do, ot this thread woun't be there. Also, I love how you imply that a relevant number of Purple nations cannot read. You should check your messages once in a while. They don't have to, but apparently they do. It's not too hard to ignore one more message. Nope, I already got one, but people assume I'm looking for one, apparently. That is a very arbitrary judgment, and one I obviously don't support. And if an alliance can't be arsed to send new members a welcome package and lead them to their forum, that alliance get what it deserves. In this case, it's Michiel de Ruyter as Senator. Regards, Jan Doedel.
7. My point still stands. I've been asked to change colors at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks, while I'm in an Orange alliance. Sounds just as political to me. Exactly my point. If that's the kind of nations that Invicta has, then sure. A vote is a vote. Yeah... Regards, Jan Doedel.
8. It seems that Invicta believes that their members don't know who their government is. Or that their members, if they don't recognize the sender (who, by the way, didn't claim to be from Invicta, or any alliance) were too lazy to click on the name to take a look at the sender's nation. Are Invicat's members not quality members with some common sense? I get messages every day without my consent, or that of my alliance. People can't read? And apparantly a government members cannot be bothered to put their alliance's name in a message? All readers with common sense would disregard said message. All readers without common sense should learn that ignorance is no excuse. Like you're doing right now. Regards, Jan Doedel.
9. I, on the other hand, don't. I get mass messaged every day, and I don't make a fuzz about it. Regards, Jan Doedel.
10. I wonder why VE violates my rights by insisting on sending me Trace Circle messages then, since I am not a Green nation? Regards, Jan Doedel.
11. You mean 'They became involved because they chose not to ignore a message'? It was Avalon's own choice to become involved. They were not forced. Regards, Jan Doedel.
12. It seems to me that the OP implicitly warns Purple nations not to vote for Michiel de Ruyter, which sounds rather active to mo. Except for the fact that you're not being neutral, maybe. To me, making yourself look 'neutral' while clearly you are not doesn't look very honourable to me. Regards, Jan Doedel.
13. Seeing I get trade circle offers from White nations, I don't see this as (more) unseemingly if you were to add me to your message list. Regards, Jan Doedel.
14. Could have fooled me, I get unsolicited trade circle messages every day, from about every alliance out there. It seems that there are very few upstanding formal alliances out there, including Avalon, since they decided to spam this forum. By launching a campaign against a Purple Senator, it seems that Avalon's long held position of neutrality in regards to the matter of the Purple Senate just came to a screeching end. You cold always continue your limited participation in this area of sphere politics. Correct, since Avalon just got involved. I've never seen Avalon's citizens as a herd of cows, doing everything they've been told to do without checking from whom the order came from. Therefore, I'm not sure how this action has put a burden on your bureaucracy. As for undermining your policy of political neutrality, Avalon decided to break said neutrality by the OP. I'll be happy to ask Arexes to stop his senate campain if you can make sure I won't get any unwanted messages. If you cannot do this, then unsolicited messages seem to be commonplace on planet Bob, and thus I won't have any reason to ask Arexes to stop with unsolicited messages. I'd recommend apologizing to them. Regards, Jan Doedel.
