1. Well done! I wonder how long it will take Grub to offer you individual terms for his surrender... Also, good show on catching him out of PM.
 2. A Paradoxian Always Pays His Debts. I have to laugh at people that act surprised this day has finally come. We have always said we would pay back our debt to Polar.
 3.
Dare I say, a cultural victory for Vlad's roguery?
Agreed. Given the tactical and strategic victories he achieved prior to this thread should we be calling this a total victory?
 4.
So, what, I'm supposed to throw away my principles, swallow my pride, and stop arguing here?
After reading through this thread I would have to say the answer is yes, most definitely. Its not so much a question of swallowing your pride but leaving with some pride intact. If you take a moment and re-read the thread you might see what I mean.
 5.
It will however never change the fact that you have it completely wrong and will never have it right.
Yeah, there is no chance we will ever remember what you told us because there was no chance we were in that conversation. I think you may have told your big lie so many times you might even have started to believe it yourself. But the problem is, its pretty hard to try to lie to people that were actually there. No chance we are ever going to by into your self-delusion/pity.
 6.
You can only speculate on what happened because frankly no one involved will ever tell you the truth.
Hoping that your dirty little secret will never be discovered might help you sleep at night but, at the risk of disturbing this obvious self defence mechanism, I have to tell you - we already know what you did and unfortunately for you so do the people you did it with... You can lie to yourself. You can lie to your alliance. But it is awefully hard to lie to people that were actually there. Edit: in any event, it is pretty obvious from this thread that TOP-NpO have become the all time number 1 rivals
 7.
That argument is only legitimate if used by actual members inside their own alliance. When you all gave up membership you ceased to have a say in the running of Gramlins. As non members of Gramlins you have as much right to seize control of Gramlins as you would of MK, FARK, MHA or anyone else.
A real world example is apt. Under International Law recognition of a State by other States is very important. I see a direct analogy here. Much of Planet Bob politics operates as a matter of mutual recognition. Someone could pop to tomorrow and claim to be MK but that claim would be meaningless if the rest of Planet Bob didnt recognize them as such. Here we have a group that claims to be the Gremlins and, except for a few voices of dissent, that claim is universally recognized. Another test of the viablility of a State is the ability to assert and enforce its claims. Under this test there is no viable contender to dispute that this group is indeed the Gremlins. So for all practical purposes you are raising a moot point.
 8. I feel a bit sad for Lemeard. He wanted to create something that would last and now it is gone.
 9.
Because breaking terms would definitly be a beneficial thing to do. Your insults don't matter to NpO.
Then maybe you folks should stop teasing us with this Never say Never stuff when we know you are hoping it really is never.
 10. Ok, so NpO has found yet another way to weasle out of an obligation. Congratulations. Turns out Never say Never doesn't mean you will "fight till forever".
 11.
*aherm* might i step in and say we had no treaty obligations with top but obligations with mk? do people ever stop talking about this !@#$?
Roi, please invest in some reading comprehension classes. The topic at hand is the treaty NpO has with Legion. You know, the one that says, in part, "Should either of the signatory alliances be attacked by another power, the other is required to come to its assistance with its full strength and resources." Now be a good lad and convince the NpO to take their treaty obligations more seriously please. You know, in the same way TOP takes its obligations seriously.
 12. My favourite memories of Goons are the people in Goons I have gotten to know over the years. Although, I have to say, watching Grub make a fool of himself in this thread is pretty good too. Happy Anniversary!
 13.
Never say never.
Unfortunately you just said it twice. Ironic when you consider that this thread has contained a lot of criticism of TOP standing by its treaty obligations. I really do urge you to consider taking your treaty relationships more seriously. Especially when you have people like Grub continually reminding us of just how worthy your alliance is.
 14.
tbh, I would say the war helped normalize relations more than any Q&A threads. It pretty much forced us to interact.
That is an excellent point. The interaction allowed us to realize what had actually occured, showed us the skill and honour of those we fought against, the honour of those who stood with us and the perfidious nature of those who crossed us. It was an exceptionally enlightening experience. Those who do not understand the lessons of that war are either wilfully blind or lack sufficient understanding.
 15. You could not have merged with a better group. Good luck to you and your future prosperity under the GLOF banner.
 16. What I hear a lot of our detractors saying is that they would rather we had attacked NpO. Thank you for the advice. But you should be careful what you wish for...
 17.
Congratulations on being nobody, having the temerity to criticize Mr Wonderful. Get back behind whoever it is you are following sheeple.
Do you realize how pathetic that makes you look?
 18.
Admittedly, I think Grub has long since given up on any attempt to be persuasive
Good move on his part. Let us know when he tries to come to terms with the rest of his failings.
 19.
Hasn't TOP spent its entire existence being somebody's lapdog?
Your name is apt.
 20.
if NPO knows GOONS is getting hit just as hard it does make them feel better as they take in the blows and make MK+allies consider whether its more important for GOONS to be left partly in tact at the end or to completely destroy NPO.
Given what GOONS are saying about that, it would appear the answer is obvious. Am I missing something?
 21.
It's to early into the war for any side to feel overly confident about the result. I am sure some on both sides are doing very well. It's going to be a long war and these first few days have not decided the out come. Just fight and we'll see what things are like after a 2-3 weeks of war.
Thanks, you put my point better. Which is why I was wondering why Meth thinks Goons are definitely on the losing side here.
 22.
It got to the point where even if I lost just 1 out of every 10 ground attacks, I was giving away more money than I was stealing.
But Hizzy, isnt that the point. It seems to me GOONS dont really care about winning this war in the short run. They are not going to blow you out of the water with stats. They are going to wear you down over time with grim determination. It will be interesting to see if Meth's theory that GOONS are nothing but bravado holds true. But given their history I am not sure I would bet on it. But put all that aside, I am still wondering why they are on the losing side. Isnt there the issue of MK et al to deal with?
 23.
But Ardus quoted me and I received a notification, you didn't so I didn't noticed your post. Are your really that desperate to receive a thank you that you need to argue even about that?
Sorry, again it must be your weak English skills. I was Saying you were wrong about correcting your errors in your post. You had many such errors and only corrected a few of them.
 24.
Thanks both of you, I noticed and corrected(I hope so) the grammar/english mistakes. Edit: You receive no thanks Lamuella, you're late to the party.
mmmm no.
The funny thing is that I don't need to prove anything for MK members. If You don't believe that MK whined about how evil NPO was when they were threatening with eternal war those in peace mode? If you want to look like a fool, it's your choice.
The bolded part still makes no grammatical sense. I think I can guess at what you mean but it is really very unclear. Which makes the second sentence ironic given that fact you took the time to correct your post...
