  1. First week of chemotherapy is under my belt. Thankfully, not many side effects that could not be dealt with. Next week, I have one more day of out patient chemotherapy and then on Wednesday, I am being admitted into the hospital for a few days for that portion of the treatment.

It makes life so much easier with all this stuff with having a port place in me so that I'm not having to be poked and prodded in my veins.

  2. ODN elects OsRavan for 70 years straight.

The game isn't dying because the OWF is dead, the OWF is dead because everyone uses Skype to mention the game in between fart jokes and stories about their fake sex lives and real mental disorders, rather than using the OWF. Both make the game boring as hell.

Anyone who tries to play seriously (actual risks, not derpa-doo wet's be fwiends wiv 100 tweaties, durrr I'm here for the community not the game) does indeed get pilloried, isolated, and kept in a dusty corner until time to roll them or draw in their NS for a few minutes.

The OWF and game are dead because there is no ideology or actual politics.

This is a serious question, Steve, what are we supposed to argue over if none of your alliances have any angle on gameplay? There isn't one alliance with a defining, differentiating ideology. No one does anything for any reason, they have no way to argue about it or defend it beyond RETARDED "friends" pap or equally stupid wishy-washy lobotomized crap about "honor." Not even NPO gives a single rip about Francoism, they're just a tub of NS like every other alliance.

The game thrived in large part because of numbers, but its decline is due to the loss of politics. This is a geo-political simulator that you and your buddies turned into a geo-friendship simulator, forging fake friendships to make the biggest gang to go alliance raiding. MK and GOONS, and their allies like your moronic AA, made the fatal mistake of believing, erroneously, that the game needed a bad guy, so they just went around pissing people off and being bad, with pseudo-intellectuals like Azaghul and Londo spouting the most idiotic crap about saving the game by generating bad feelings and what they called activity. At the same time they spent years ripping down every political aspect of the game, they held their enemies to the old standards.

You were wrong, here we are. All politics is dead, the game is useless.

The way to vibrant gameplay is politics.

    You are most correct.

  3. Bilrow? YOU'RE doing it?I say we hold a GFX Stand Off...
Yeah, I had to do a IPB 3 Upgrade to the NPO forums. I could think of very few things more painful than that experience. However, after that point, it gets better and I wouldn't go back from IPB 3.
  4. Oh wait, whodunthunkit....

My leaders said we will not accept surrender and we will fight to ZI and beyond yet ALL of them are hiding in peace mode! I refuse to fight for the same people that taunt every other alliance who uses peace mode this way. They said that anyone who surrenders will be hunted down after the war and shot. Machine guns in front and machine guns in the rear. I don't see other alliances have to threaten it's own members with death.

I have resigned and surrendered to Karma as I refuse to be used. This is the only good thing that has come out of this war for me.

I do adore how your entire upper echelon is in peace mode, I know its a tactic, however do they plan on staying there as long as FAN did ?
The Hegemony side seems to keep its "leaders" In peace mode, and pretty much using all their members as meatshields... Yes, im sure your leaders love you... as much as they can argue its a "strategy" They are still sending theit members to die, while they sit back and watch, only to get in when it suits them...

Karma side seems to be supporting eachother having a more, noone left behind attitude if that makes sense...

Tonight, fully 50% of the Pacifican government--IOs, High Command, and Council--are in peace mode.
What's funnier is that they've chased people for months (years?) citing "desertion" during a war. Nobody's above anyone else in the Order, yet the leaders are the ones in peace mode and the leaders are the first to be rebuilt when the dust settles.
I don't think Umbrae has ever been out of peace mode while NPO has been at war. Umbrae, if you are reading this, remember when you tried to ZI me and promised me that it would be a "very long time" before I had nukes again? Well, I have nukes again. Come out of peace mode and I will show them to you.
No my disappointment comes from the fact that officers should always lead from the front ranks, all that bravado and talk about it being honorable when they do it wouldn't sound half as bad if they had their goverment in the front lines while letting people from the general body of the alliance stay in peace for a 2nd wave (and no i don't accept that you couldn't have found 150 nations who aren't gov to go into peace with similar stats than the nations who remain in peace).
With the leaders being stubborn with continuing this while they hide behind peace mode, do you see an uprising within NPO in the near future?
The question you should all ask your self is, how many of those in peace mode are banks and how many of those are NPO staff such as IO's, who are sitting back and letting the general membership take the damage for there actions ?
^^^This. This is something I have been wondering for a while now. Id really like to compare NPO's staff list with the list of nations in PM at the top right now. Most in the top 50 have been in NPO for 1-3 years. I doubt many of them are regular members.
