1.
Were you really? Wow.. I would have like.. winners remorse if I were you. Were you not in Sparta in this last war?
Nope, I came back to CN after the war had ended. As for winners remorse, winning was just logical being in TI and The Continuum, didn't think twice about it.
2. I don't really remember which alliances I fought but these are the wars I've been involved in: Maroon War GWII St. Patrick's Day War GWIII Green Civil War (Viridicide or whatever else it's called) FAN-WUT war MCXA - Wootsauce war Legion-Valhalla (Dove war?) The Unjust War BLEU-NADC war Continuum-GPA war GATO-One Vision war BLEU-GUN war CIS- One Vision war War of the Coalition Karma War On the winning side of all those conflicts...
3. It's great to see that you've made it through the hard times. So many doubted you'd even make it through your first month and here you still are, congrats!
4. I would like to point out that this person is not a member nor a current applicant of Sparta, despite his current AA. I do not wish to throw doubt on his credibility as a tech seller, however I would like to make it clear that Sparta is not responsible for his deals. I just wanted to make it clear so people know exactly who they are dealing with.
5.
Quality ex-leader right here. The most classy person ever to grace Planet Bob. TSO, I have to hand it to you. I really thought you'd bail on TOP to save pixels. Although I'm sure you thought you'd win this war. In any case congrats on 1 year and the Umbrellian nukes you'll be sucking down. I know the 2nd year won't be too easy to get through now that big daddy TOP can't protect you. Who knows, miracles happen.
I may have lived in the shadows for pretty much the past year [ooc] retired [ooc] but when I got pulled back to CN due to a (argh we're at war!! e-mail) I was pretty convinced that winning was a no go. Anyway, to be honest, there seems to be a lot of progress here. By my count only about 50-60% in this thread hate us. That's quite the improvement compared to last year. Granted, it might not be through our own merit but more through the fact that you can hardly flame people that are fighting beside you but it still makes me happy. I suppose this was all we could hope for, a year of relative quiet with the group of friends that had formed in TSO. In the end the amount of hatred shared by those politically in charge would catch up to us eventually. I'm glad at least we got the chance to prove that we are able to stand together and play this game as it's supposed to be. This is why we stuck together, why we formed this group of friends. The comment of some guy earlier who said you're supposed to have a MDAP with each and every member of your alliance. Well that's true. That's where we and MCXA in general went wrong. It was too big, too many factions and no friendship. We tried to change it, by your definition TSO is more of a true alliance founded on the right principles. Unfortunately MCXA suffered a lot in the process. Myself and many others had given too much of our time to MCXA not to feel sad that it went this way. Anyway /rant Time for me to head back to real life and close this chapter. Oh and [ooc] I'd love to have a beer with you sometime Penchuk [ooc]
6.
I would have said Valhalla but after seeing MCXA's page I will go with them for sure. Want to know some fun stats? Alliance: Score 1 year ago today | Score today MCXA: 55.03 | 15.92 IRON: 72.23 | 33.06 TPF: 28.00 | 8.61 Valhalla: 19.56 | 6.25 Echelon: 17.43 | 5.03
Yes, because that has so much to do with this war. Genius.
7. I joined 10/29/2006. Which was just before the Maroon War. The whole Nordreich, MDC and other Maroon alliances against the commie alliance. think it was called ICP then...
8. To call his posts awesome is like me telling him to drop his AA, come for us instead of asking the reverse or any assorted unlikely scenario. Fact is he is happy with his AA and it being there to protect him. Same as we're unlikely to sacrifice our nations by making the very useless action of atacking Hell Scream. Not that I actually know the guy. His whole act now is useless and plain chest thumbing.
9. Actually, once they are out of tech selling range we will upgrade the treaty and use them to defend us in times of war. Meatshield and the like. Like where you're going though.
10. Hah, I always liked him on IRC. But seriously, his in-game character a great man? He loved starting trouble and I think that he would simply laugh at all the negative comments in this thread. Leaving the way he did is right up his alley. I really liked him but lets not picture him different than what he was. He just had a very peculiar way of playing and interacting with people. Anyway, glad I came across this thread. Welcome to the well-deserved rest.
11. You should have used me as a example of total incompetent people in the High Council. Cadie actually did stuff, and quite admirably at that. And yes I used my good looks to get myself into goverment, I only missed out on being a girl. As for Francesca; "meh" about covers it.
12. Congratulations TOP, awesome achievement. Also I love the image. [OOC] The Crusader Kings (I believe?) reference is awesome. Edit; don't have the games here. Help me out, which game is the shield from?
13. You have to keep in mind the manner in which TSO was created. We specifically chose to play together in this set-up. The group of friends that formed TSO all want to play together and leave the massive aspect of a alliance like TOP behind it. TOP, while great people, would be too big for what we want to get out of the game. Which is playing together in direct contact. A larger alliance would not suit us at this point of our CN experience (for me anyway.) That being said, during our creation, TOP was so awesome and stood by us. We now repay that trust and friendship. While the payment might not be on the same scale as TOP's actions toward us the meaning behind it does not change. We stand by TOP in their fight. That meant fighting Invicta and several other alliances. Good luck to them but the point of war is to defeat the opponent as fast and with as little damage to yourself as possible. That usually means getting as many people against the enemy. Numbers simply mean a lot in war. We provided extra numbers to make sure as little damage to TOP can be done. That is what we see as our duty due to our treaty and our friendship. Nothing personal, good luck in the war and afterwards. My respect for making the decisions that you've made. I know they can't have been easy.
14. Member of MDC during both GWII and GWIII. Had to ghost NoR during GWII though, as the MDC wasn't allowed to enter the fight. Silly Legion.
15. I'll probably stick to the collecting and ignoring. It isnt these two weeks, it's simply the fact that I was planning on retiring already. This pushed me over the edge. I just got the keys to my new appartment. I'll be moving shortly and get more involved in a fraternity. So I simply wouldn't have had the time anyway. I wanted to keep going for a month or so but things got pushed into perspective. For now I aim for the summer. Thank you all for the kind words. I'll try and stay in touch.
16. Always fun to see somebody who has no clue what he's talking about. "Valashu was supposed to be the first one." You couldn't be more wrong. The first I heard about any new alliance was the 19th, 5 minutes after hearing about it I told the President of FOK, the alliance I went to after I left MCXA, that I'd be leaving because a new alliance was started. I left because I was sick of the the atmosphere in MCXA. I was not a active member and didn't feel like becoming active in MCXA because of its horrible drama. So I went to FOK. In the end another opportunity arose, a great atmosphere with friends and a challenge. To sum it up, don't asume things. It makes your whole argument looks bad because it comes down to hearsay. You don't know me well enough to even remotely make such a character judgement of me. Enough people can vouch for me. I would not do such a thing. Now go back to your useless whining and keep me out of it. Retirement's a bliss, such things however need correcting.
17. Don't want to hurt the TSO average NS just yet. Will keep the nation around for a bit. See how life is in a few months. Summer break might prove interesting enough. Jump me when I drop my AA though.
18. This means a lot to me, I always tried to stay normal even during war. Trolling never appealed to me, I tried to approach a situation and say things the way I saw them. CN never will be perfect, but I wasn't a fan of having enemies last longer than the war itself. Unfortunately that doesn't always work.
19. Nah, I've been on the receiving end of diplomatic beatings before. This just pushed it, it made me realise that this isn't the atmosphere I want to come back to. I'll stay in private and on skype with those friends that I want to stay in touch with. But the political and outer CN is done for me.
20. I joined TSO in the hope to find the boost I was looking for. The people definatly were worth it, but the game itself and the situation thoroughly didn't. That was my own fault. But I play this game for fun, I'd long been edging towards this. But tonight pulled me over. Also, no idea who Quitztole is but I wish him luck.
21. After 848 days I imagined I'd seen it all. I counted myself as a experienced CN'er, having been through a lot of conflicts and drama. I had several spells of inactivity, recharging I suppose. This was supposed to be the start of a new era. I was hoping to find the fun back in the game, but after tonight's, granted, huge failure on my part I must say the fun has disappeared a whole lot faster than I had imagined. I thought I'd keep it up for another month untill it was rowing time, but with this huge screw-up comes the time for me to realise that I really do not have the time to follow enough of CN to be able to stay involved on the level I want to be involved in. So with that I'll focus on school and my fraternity-rowing and say goodbye to a place that kept me entertained for a good 2 years. As for the hailing part, some deserve a hug. Sam, you're a good friend. You work hard and you've always done what's in the interest of your friends. Keep doing it but always make sure you enjoy the game. Else it's not worth it man. DA, good luck with the responsibility. You know you're ready, now prove it. I'll miss your singing on skype. Cadie, only known you for a few months know but you were one of the reasons CN got interesting again, and no not just because you're a girl. Thanks for putting up with me . Dr. Fresh. I still love you man, we've both been way too inactive lately. Hopefully you can set things straight for all. You sure as hell are able to. Adrian, we go back quite a bit. Never imagined we'd still be around now. But you grew up (sorry but you did). In MDC you were this troubleshooting maverick, we did need one... Now in Sparta you're the big boss. Good for you! Tulak, keep drinking man. You're awesome when you're drunk. Always wanted to be back in a alliance with you. Olo, since you're reading the Big Boards again I count on you reading this. Get better man, you were the rock that kept MCXA together for a long time. You were a awesome leader and I loved following you. Avenger, sorry I only spend two weeks at FOK. You people rock, and I did keep my promise in the end. I visited FOK before I quit. ORANJE BOVEN! o/ Shamed, maroon never dies. Just get more active and be the big boss of everything. Then you can kill adrian . To all the rest, I loved being around you people. I wanted to spend a lot more time with all of you guys but in the end I probably spend more time here than I should. Vox and all the others. Thanks for keeping things interesting. Keep this game fun for yourself. I realise making it fun for others isn't and shouldn't be your top priority but keep it in mind. I tried doing that, even during war. With that I bid you all goodnight.
22. I realise that I shouldn't have used the term lightly, but keep in mind that the circumstances are very different from any prior situation. Almost all of TSO's members were involved in heavy arguments regarding to the trial drama. There was a division starting to show. That is when myself and several other members left after they got fed up. That's when sam got fed up as well, he mentioned leaving to me once, and I can imagine he mentioned it to others. That's probably where the idea formed.
23. That much is obvious, at least I made it to a sig.
