I use a smartphone and iPad for a lot of things, but all my foruming is done on a computer because the regular layout of the forums is easier to navigate and it has a better keyboard to type on.

Old Guard is still around, totally defying the all the odds. I played a very small role its founding. While most of its ex-GPA leadership have disappeared from this world many of its key people are still around and keeping it running. CN is still a total nostalgia-fest, simply because Admin has done nothing for at least 5 years towards game development and the numbers have slowly been dwindling. I keep on keeping on in the hope that this community will either reinvigorate this game or mass-migrate to a better one. For all its flaws, there is much hope in the CN community.

The Boiler Room is the only active part of the forums anymore. Given the quality of the content, that does not bode well for CN.

I too joined TOP in the twilight years, but it was a huge honour to be part of something great. I got to see an insight into the deep strategically thinking about CN politics that allowed TOP to have disproportionate influence given its relatively smaller size (kind of like the model Umbrella has worked with for the last 3-4 years). Congrats, my friends, on the 10 year anniversary.
