4.
xfd someone let ffrog into government.
Heh, what do you know? He can't do worse than some other ex-ODNers
Nice Group ! o/ DAWN p.s. Frannie bakes the best cookies!
I do?!?
Are you democratic yet? Also congrats and such.
Hey, Zessa, we miss you. Stop by for some chat sometime. And cookies. I didn't know I can bake cookies, but with Alaric enjoying them so much and Samus stealing them every day, I must be. Last but not least, thank you all for your kind words and wishes.
5.
Gongrats DAWN! GLOF are some awesome allies. also, Considering GLOF's time table for these things, how many years ago did you start talking treaty with them? I'm just curious. (obviously kidding)
GLoF are certainly awesome friends and allies. As for time tables, we drag our feet in the same rhythm.
6. Congrats, BAPS & Duckroll. A good combo, as far as I can see.
7. I love the "Orange is the only citrus" thing. Maybe SGC will add it as a logo for a new t-shirt series soon. Also, welcome newcomers, it's great to have you on board.
8.
I would've expected it more from Golan.
I believe Golan preference in drinks does not include beer, but rather scotch and other strong spirits, indeed. Thank God we have these two German fellas with us, between shilo and TheMaskedLord, we could find a decent German beer to review. FARK would've been sad otherwise. And I've come to actually enjoy Persephone's presence, so that would have been very unfortunate.
9.
Where's the outrage at having to do a Beer Review!?
Sorry, shilo's still out. If he manages to actually sober up enough to come here and state something (anything intelligible) he might express some outrage (or not). I, for one, am glad my whip can rest.
10.
It took approximately 6 months to pay off the terms? I forget what they were, but either there was no rush in paying them off by mutual choice of both sides or the terms were harsher than they seemed? Terms should be for the truly evil like GOONS Yes, I referenced the GOONS and expect them to enter here shortly with some nonsense
Before GOONS get to post their "nonsense" here, I have a bit of that too: the war with gRAMlins ended on July 31, which means we've paid our reps in 3 months. And yes, there was no rush and there was certainly a lack of aid slots going around. But we've worked with everyone extremely well and I'm grateful for that.
11. I'd also like to thank TORN and GLoF for their help and support. We owe you one, guys!
12. I stand before everyone today with a short announcement from DAWN: Yes, reps are done. The financial ones, at least. We still owe FARK a beer review, so here it is, on behalf of shilo, our designated beer specialist. I'd like to mention he's tried and reviewed this beer a while ago, but he's been out drunk ever since and we had to wait for him to sober up a bit, at least until I could figure out WTF he's saying, so I can post this in an approximate readable English. Enjoy:
Beer Review Schneider Weisse Tap 2 - Kristallweizen (crystal wheat) My beer of choice for this review is the Schneider Weisse Kristallweizen. For those of you unfamiliar with Kristallweizen, it's basically filtered Weißbier, although it's not simply a cleaner looking version of it, but definitely its own beer. As the name suggests, it looks clear and filtered, but it keeps the carbonation. Due to the filtration, it gets a fresher but a bit less heavy taste, and in my opinion is the most refreshing kind of beer, as it looses most of the yeast taste of the original Weißbier. Personally, Kristallweizen is my favorite kind of beer during the (too short) summer, there is nothing better than barbecuing outside and having a couple of those, or simply relaxing somewhere and drinking one. Naturally, served only in the right kind of glass, as you can see in the picture above. And oh, definitely not with lemon... Schneider Weiße is one of my favorite breweries for Weißbier, in my opinion their Weißbier is the best there is, and their Kristall is also one of the best there is. Now to the review itself: The color is clear golden, and with visible carbonation. It has 5.3%, and comes in .5 l Bottles. The original wort is 12.3%, so clearly one of the lighter beers. The first impression you get is a rather strong smell of yeast, lest you expect a Kristall that is a bit more heavy on the yeast taste, more than many other Kristall have. And that continues once you take the first zip: At first, you get the cold, refreshing impression of the carbonated beer, typical for its kind. If you resist the urge to continue gulping it down because it just taste so damn fine, you will notice a definite taste of yeast. This excellent combination of the two main characters of Weißbier and Kristallweizen, the light and refreshing taste of Kristall, and the full volume of the yeasty Weißbier, all in one beer. I hope I could give you a small impression of this beer, and maybe interest you in trying it out yourself if you haven't already.
Thank you for the attention, you may return to your usual program.
13. Good looking lineup. I don't know about competency and whatnot, but with Sky in there, you've got the looks
14. Now, what could this temptrading be and why would I use it?
15. This is what happens when you let Calderone run around free without medication. You get treaties to archive Congrats, nonetheless.
16. One needs to quit RL if it interferes with CN , Peron. Also, congrats, RAB.
17.
I don't think Peron passed on to your council or whoever else (back when I was in IRON it was only the council) that I was looking for information about the matter.
With all due respect, seems to me you weren't actually looking for anything, but waiting to be called back about something. If I'm looking for something, everyone in the govt. of the other party and their mother know I'm looking for that specific something. At least that's the way I think allies should treat each other. It's obvious you don't think so. Good luck wherever you go, anyway.
18. Yes, potato, you did and thank you for it. Also, thanks for the good wishes, everyone. The whip sure comes in handy.
19. Heikk-i decided it's time for a little vacation. We'll try to keep him busy otherwise, though. Also, thanks, Cald. I think...
20. We've had our autumn revolution, in the civilized manner people do these things now, elections, of course. No blood was shed, but only tears, sweat and lots of [s]aid[/s] bribe. This being said, I'm happy to announce the rest of the world our new Government consists of really old guys: President: Franciscus (aka Frannie) Chief Councilour: shilo Council: Golan 1st, Booter. And yes, old is the new New this fall. You've heard it here first.
21. CMEA are awesome. Welcome aboard. I hope Gurn is ready for some dirty work.
22. Wait! Sanity, at last?? What will come of this world???
23. Folkminister is on the death watch. Going down to 14 nations?
24. Actually, I will have to agree with SynthFG, going paperless (I mean, completely paperless, though) with a strong alliance would be an interesting experiment. With the one condition to be able to admit you're going into wars aggressively, regardless of your intent or motives and to suck it up if others would name you "bandwagoners". The "bandwagon" label wouldn't have been an issue for Gremlins due to their reputation. While some have/would have doubted Gre's motives as being selfless, many would have not and thus the discussions would have been kept to a minimum. More so, they would have had the ability to put pressure on key points, not by engaging in wars but by intimidating adversaries and being middle-men in negotiations. If that was the initial intent, I think it might have worked. However, your (their) internal mechanisms have not been balanced enough to prevent failure. If you want to do an experiment of such magnitude and with so much implications, you have to make sure you have checks and balances in place to prevent it from going haywire. That's where the experiment failed.
