I'm confused as to how this works.
Dry docks and shipyards allow you to buy +1 of each type of ship they support, respectively.
So say I had 5000 infra, 1000 tech, 5 dry docks, and 5 shipyards. My theoretical maximum navy would be 40 ships, right?
What's got me confused is that destro just said that the "optimal" amount of ACs was 5, but that to me now implies that you can buy more than that amount, as with cookie's post. However as far as I know, you can only buy 5 of each of the naval improvements.
Along with that, landing ships boost ground attacks by 1% up to 20 ships, destroyers boost CM dmgs by 2% up to 10 ships, and same for subs with nukes (Like nukes really need that much of a boost anyway).
So can you buy more than 5 of each ship, or does the battle support bonuses have to do with the total number of ships in the attack (ie. I have 5 landers and 1 corvette -> 6 ships -> +6% ground attack dmg.)
Then again, that wouldn't make a huge amount of sense as I could then build 1 sub, 5 corvettes, and 4 landers to get the maxed out sub-nuke bonus.
EDIT: I've poked around the forums a little longer and it seems like for every multiple of "Vessel Infrastructure" requirement you have, you can buy another ship on top of the naval improvement bonuses. I was approaching the navy as the same thing as aircraft. The help guide doesn't really clearly explain this.
So now I just need to know if tech does the same thing too.
