  1. Sorry to hear relations were torn. >_>
  2. This is a great reason to switch to leadless ammo
  3. I think this scenario describes most of CN.
  4. Trouble making dorks You guys have done an amazing job.
  5. You lose. Also GGA, sometimes things come around like this and it sucks, but I'm confident you will arrive out the other side stronger. If you guys need anything feel free to ask.
  6. Congrats on graduation, always nice to see the full course of a protectorate realized.
  7. TPF has absolutely no involvement here. I'd also like to remind folks TBB and Slayer while highly honored members, are not active gov and their opinions reflect only their personal views. After talking to GRAN, it is clear they feel wronged by this situation and we wish them the best luck finding resolution to the issue and I offer any assistance we can toward that end.
  8. Fee fi fo thumb..... stop recruiting from ussssss.... raaawwwrrrrrr....... stop slot filling our rogues....... In all seriousness you don't owe us anything, however I am asking you guys take the mindless grudges out of our protectorate's thread. They have come a long way and deserve better. Most your major issues all occurred before myself or the majority of our current gov was in TPF. If you have issues with myself, feel free to take me up in irc or pm.
  9. I knew you would be appreciative of us letting you guys buy manhattans again. However from the bold talk here after I tried to calm things down I take it you intend to make me regret affording PC any measure of trust and respect.
  10. Bad slayer. Go back to the porch. No need for folks to pester each other here.
  11. Pfft you TPF punk copy cats were just following Elysium and BAPS lead.... wait a minute....
  12. I look forward to watching Soldier realize their potential at OPP.
  13. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannd here comes the blind NPO hate. I do fail to see how his comment in anyway insulted or even mentioned NPO.
  14. Haahaha so anyone that didn't post after a certain time frame was deemed a spy. Awesome! I look forward to a very high attrition rate among your spies. -- PS one of the "spies" you guys found already confessed he was working for you and ended up in vox. You should probably inform your spies they are really counter spies before booting them
  15. To be honest im kind of curious what you guys do all day. Is the whole time spent spying trying to find the spies spying on your non existent alliance that is an alliance, but just not until the day your spies fight back?

    Sorry

No, I'm saying your understanding of the difference between an IP address and an IRC hostmask/registered nick switching in public channels is highly flawed. Subsequently the rest of your assumptions are equally flawed. We don't have some master IP list, our forums even delete accounts/ip's after a few weeks of inactivity as a security feature. I'm done filling this thread corrections to the ignorant and arrogant jabs. Welcome back theStig.

    Sorry

A clearly flawed analysis of the situation. Nothing we did supports your conclusion. We didn't attack him. We didn't want reps. We didn't ask for an apology. We didn't ask him to reveal himself. All of those would be highly likely if we believe him guilty of something sinister. Quite frankly I was informed who he was (by stig himself) and did NOTHING, because I didn't see it as an issue. My commending slevin comes from the very most basic principle of alliance security, your members taking vested interested in her defense. "There are many, many ways of doing this and I know most in gov are familiar with these practices." Slevin is not gov, but was looking out for the welfare of TPF instead of being a mindless drone expecting gov to take care of everything. We give lectures about complacency and slevin followed them, good for him.

    Sorry

Okay okay you got me. In the cotton candy lollipop land we believe that everyone likes us and we have no reason to doubt anyone. Sometimes right after a trip to the gumball fountain, one of the carebears makes an uh-oh, but thats otay because he really didn't mean it and it was probably our fault for not sharing and playing nice anyways. 1) Stig wasn't identified by ip addresses. 2) Slevin and Stig have worked out their differences, how are we using anything to further our in game "cause" ? 3) Tarring with a prejudiced brush? -- Really take a look at yourself in regards to prejudice. Stig came to me with who he was and I told him I didn't care what he did, thats about as neutral as possible. We didn't ask him to reveal himself, he asked my advice and I told him to do whatever he felt would work for him best. In this case he choose to tell folks who he was and make amends for a multitude of actions he felt folks would hold against him. 4) Last I checked there seems to be a weekly column, irc channel, and an offsite website of spy information from our allies and our bloc boards, that is hardly a "vague paranoia." Most enemy nations in vox have the option to surrender and go peacefully, yet continue to reroll and plot stealing hundreds of millions from us and our allies to use in direct action attacks on our smaller members. While I recognize there is little we can do, I think it is naive to expect us not to attempt any sort of defense to such attacks. To those claiming to be against asymmetrical warfare, I feel that you have failed to grasp that it merely means a war fought from disproportionate numbers, which is certainly the case to various conflicts we are fighting. Arguing the morality of taking the most basic steps in internal security is folly, I'm quite certain kingsqrt himself "logs" IRC chats which is all slevin did. Judge us by our actions, not because we don't put our heads in the sand. Here are our actions for you to judge. 1) Stig came to me telling me his former identity, I told him we had no issue with him. We did not release his identity, his ip, anything. 2) He asks if we want an apology, I told him we don't care, but that he can do whatever he wants. 3) Our allies come and ask us if we have issue with him, I tell them we don't. 4) We get chewed out for being "!@#$%^&" and oppressive monsters. Yup, that surely is the logical conclusion to reach when reviewing the actions.

    Sorry

Slevin did what he thought was best and I commend him for his service. I didn't ask slevin to track jack, however jack made the issue quite bitter in the past with the log dump thread targeted at slevin. You'll notice he didn't post up a thread informing the world, he didnt tell anyone but stig and myself. In a day where folks are rerolling to spy and actively posting up "private" info all over the owf, it is indeed the nature of the game that people keep an eye out for folks that happen to demonstrate particular hostility toward us that join our allies or us. We didn't ask for an apology, that was stig's decision, and I must admit he did a good job of it. Fighting an asymmetrical war means you must prepare for offenses to come from new and unknown routs, all one can do is attempt to reach a balance between protecting the alliance and helping preserve the game from needless attrition.
