Thanks I kinda wondered if they were absorbed into another alliance or were just deleted or still there just "collecting dust" (aka just become a waste of data space). In fact thanks to everyone who replied I see a much clearer picture on this subject and I definitely understand a little better now.

Ok I'm sure that this question was asked before but what is going to happen to the all of the big and small alliances that have been inactive for a long time altogether? (As in the owners have stopped playing CN completely and all activity has ceased)
