Sometimes you just forget to log in to your nation and it becomes very inactive, especially if you've been playing forever and are bored with this game. I came very close to being deleted recently by doing that.
Sucks to see Opethian gone though. Sharks are very awesome, as are tyrannosaurs in F-14s. -

CN just isn't the fun community it used to be, and there aren't as many interesting posters. So maybe there's less of a reason to Halloween.

Well, I'm going to miss your presence here. Even though we're pretty much opposites politically, I enjoy your posts in the Boiler Room.
And for a memorable moment: the time you took the Red Team Senate may have been one of the most influential little things that have happened in CN. For the first time in years, it became apparent that the NPO was not invincible, and did not "win" the game as was so often claimed. -
Don't have much of an opinion on this, but I can't say I'm surprised. There are old grudges that undoubtedly pointed towards this happening at some point.

This irritates me to no end. People from alliances who made no effort to contact me and offer their support and willingness to chain in, are complaining about the fact that I "didn't" escalate it. We activated all of our treaties, and every single one of the treaty partners of [i]Sakura[/i] were involved, along with a number of other alliances.
The fact is, SOS Brigade unexpectedly backed down from their initial unreasonable demands, apparently under some type of pressure, I took the opinions of the alliances that had actually pledged their support to us into account, and diplomacy happened. If you or anyone else wanted me to take your opinion into account, you should have actually talked to me while the incident occurred instead of taking shots at me from the peanut gallery after the fact. -
