  1. Would like to take this opportunity to note the bravery of all our fighters in this fray. The Imperium moves forward, as it always does. Our brave warriors are fighting this good fight, embracing the conflict and making us proud to be an alliance. Another testament to the great strides we have taken since the much-vaunted July Revolution. An alliance, once timed and weak, nor roars with bestial vigour. We shall continue the struggle for as long as necessary, and we shall give our all in our pursuit of our goal. All of our soldiers fighting this battle are heroes of the Imperium, and their collective efforts are reaping great rewards in our struggle for justice. I see our unity in combat, our friendships forged in the fires of war. Since the Revolution, I've always been happy to be a member of the ISX family, and seeing the valiant efforts and camaraderie among our ranks, I've never been prouder to be a part of this wonderful group. On an entirely unrelated note, Serberus, Mrs Graceford would just like to pass on her admiration for your dedication to the "Power and Chaos" philosophy of the great Zoot. It almost got her rooting for you guys rather than ours. Divorce papers shall be served in due course.
  2. Two years ago, our Imperium changed. The July Revolution of 2015 was a turning point, when we took hold of our destiny. We've become a family and a unit. We are stronger together and work towards common goals. We've made friends and allies throughout Planet Bob and we are grateful for every one of them. We've made enemies too in our struggle for survival. We've fought in conflicts of every imaginable scale, against rogue AAs and against massive coalitions. And now, 2 years after our true beginning, we step once more unto the breach, into battle, and towards glory. The Imperium of Supernova X hereby declares a Third War on Terror against the malefactors in Apocalypse Meow. For months they have acted in aggression towards us, hiding behind a treaty network that looked the other way. Today, they will reap the harvest of their villainy. We do not take this action lightly, but given the actions taken against us over an extended period, and with the recent attacks against the Emperor and other members, this is an appropriate response. These actions began during the Second War on Terror (aka Monster Mash), with hostilities threatened due to coalition disagreements. They took to harassing our ally, Animalz, when the Libertarian Party of Cybernations aligned with the Imperium. More recently, Land of Freedom went rogue on the Deplorables AA, hitting 3 of our members, including one that had just rebuilt to 7000 infrastructure after months of fighting. Despite being on the Deplorables AA, Morphine confirmed that Land of Freedom was still a part of the Apocalypse Meow government, and that any ally who countered would be attacked. These provocations will no longer go unanswered. We shall fight with every fibre of our being, with every means at our disposal, to deliver justice upon these enemies of freedom and prosperity. Immortan Junka, the Emperor of Mankind Galerion, the Emperor's Hand Edward Graceford, Guardian of the July Revolution
  3. Another great day for ISX, and a positive treaty to be a part of. Well done to all involved in reaching this agreement.
  4. Very true. nevertheless the threat was made. Ability or otherwise to act on it notwithstanding.
  5. I've always had strong reservations about the rationale that sellers should accept deals that favour the buyers, out of the notion that once (or rather, if) they become buyers themselves, they'll reap the rewards then. How many get that far? Some will, certainly but not everyone does. Some can see it as a little pie in the sky, that little utopia they strive for but always seems so far away. On that rationale, the seller must become a buyer. More precisely, sellers develop and grow their nation until they reach the tipping point where they become the buyer, and carry on after breaching that barrier. In that view, the ideal is for all nations to eventually become buyers. And that is also the problem. With less and less new nations arising, "natural sellers" (those selling on their journey to grow) become more scarce. As an increasingly scarce resource, there is pressure to commandeer those sellers for an alliance's own purposes. Wars have been threatened, even declared over access to this resource. The perpetual sellers offer an alternative. They keep low, they keep selling. The tech will continue to flow. But at the same time those who choose to stay there make that conscious decision and thus have a negotiating position. Buyers perhaps are more wary because perpetual sellers are more likely to know their own value and how sought after they are. Thats partly why they try to command better rates. My belief is that those who are buying shouldn't be the only ones able to dictate terms. Of course, other views and rationales are available and all that. Personally, as well as the wonderful people, I love SNX because the tech program is one where I feel more than just a tech drone, producing and producing for a comparative pittance. Just throwing my two penny's worth out there.
  6. Well if you're going to copy something, you might as well copy the good stuff. Why copy mediocrity?
  7. I'm not sure I'd place too much trust in the posturing on these forums as a credible source of accurate news. By its very nature, we big-up or belittle, depending on our needs and stance. Your summation was, demonstrably in some aspects, wrong. Just to name one, your point 3 was that we went after an ex member because he wouldn't go along with the plans of the alliance. In truth we went after him in retribution for his looking to undermine the democratically decided direction of the alliance. He attempted a coup. Thats somewhat more than just not agreeing with the direction. As for being a tech farm for protection. We indeed sought protection, and gained it. This wasn't something done out of the goodness of DK's hearts. We had to give something in return. In truth, what we got was a programme of very reasonable rates for the tech producers, which we maintain sovereignty over. Some of the strongest bonds come from mutual benefit. Out of that has come a strong bond of friendship. I see no reason to deny or feel shame in that. We don't need fabrications to support Junka. Since July we have gone from strength to strength. We may not be perfect, and even if we were, some people will never change their minds or accept progress has been made. As for Junka's shortcomings, which are often brought up. SNX are under no illusions about them. But we support him anyway, because he has done a great job. As has the new second in command, Galerion, whose running of our tech program has brought us many benefits, both in terms of economics, and indeed using that program as part of our foreign relations toolkit. For me, we have come a long way from the stricken ship we were in July. We're not only still afloat, but have made ourselves into a better run and stronger unit.
  8. The start of another prosperous chapter for us. Great stuff indeed.
  9. We went through those some time ago. We're considering going back to Galleons to free up our naval steel for the next round. Anyway, here's wishing our fighters in this action all the best. May there be lots of blood spilled, and very little of it ours.
  10. Because of the very sporadic spread of NS in our opponents, some of our members weren't in range of anyone. Some noticeable intervals. Not sure specifically how many of our nations were unable, but certainly that i an issue some were having. That and the very speedy and welcome joining in of our allies meant some of our nations weren't able to get involved. The very clear victory, which was admittedly all but a foregone conclusion, is only part of the success with this campaign. Here has been a good opportunity to look at how the offensive was handled, how our nations performed, and allows us to look at where we need to improve. We're able to now look at the lessons of this campaign so that we don't need to learn them the hard way later on.
  11. The issue there was that he was unwilling to accept the opinion of the SNX membership, unless that opinion was what he wanted it to be. We either elect him, or he ends the alliance. For some reason, those strong-arm tactics went down like a lead balloon. So much of his actions at that time, once it was clear he was losing the support he had, was to essentially throw his toys out of the pram. He did have support at first, but ultimately his hostile rhetoric and attitude, coupled with ego drove his supporters away from him and towards Junka. Let that one sink in. Ultimately, I believe SNX's decision to elect Junka has become the best thing that could have happened at the time. Initial misgivings aside, we've been more stable, secure and prosperous than we've been probably since SNX's formation. I feel the way we have thus far handled this offensive has been more professional and more decisive, and shows there's been a good level of progress compared to the circus act we once were. Of course, still more work to do, but we're putting the efforts in and reaping the harvest from it.
  12. To extend Junka's remarks, Shark Week was what happened to us when other alliances smelled blood. Being left without both leaders and treaties, we were sitting ducks, and thus a group of alliances organized a week long curbstomp of us. Happily it was a positive experience. The alliance members still with us grew closer, we became more decisive and this has led to what i believe to be the most prosperous and meaningful period in our history. The Week stripped the alliance of it's trash. Now we're having a bonfire with it.
  13. On this day, November 3rd, 2015, Supernova X declares war on the Allied Forces of the Revolutionary Order. Casus Belli as follows; AFRO leader Masterchief777, during his time in SNX, sought to create a provisional SNX government so as to deny the SNX membership the opportunity to vote on their leadership and direction. He stated his desire and intention to disband SNX should Immortan Junka win the leadership contest. This was in opposition to the wishes of the SNX membership, as demonstrated by the July Referendum and Never Capitulate vote. He refused to share the complete logs of his conversations with an unknown foreign actor, which compromised the security of SNX He distributed false orders, and in doing so committed High Treason He formed the renegade SNX Restoration Movement, and in collaboration with our enemies of the time, spammed the SNX membership with messages with the intent of pressuring and extorting them into leaving SNX. During the period between the cancellation of our treaty with Polar and the start of Shark Week, Masterchief777, leader of one of the competing factions within SNX, sought to take control of the alliance, setting out his stall and recruiting members into a provisional government so as to consolidate power. From there a hostile attitude towards differing views, an unwillingness to let the SNX membership decide for themselves who should lead, and a potential security leak to an unknown foreign nation led to increased opposition to his leadership attempt and his eventual expulsion from the alliance. Upon leaving, he formed the SNX Restoration Movement, and during Shark Week sought to destroy SNX by working with our enemies of the time to message members, seeking to pressure them into joining his alliance. This alliance later became the Galactic Guard, and is now the Allied Forces of the Revolutionary Order. Additionally, certain former members of SNX, now members of AFRO, defaulted on tech deals with Polar. Their actions caused Polar to cancel their treaty with us, which in turn led to Shark Week. These actions have gone unanswered for too long, and today Supernova X will rectify this. Thank you for your for time. I welcome all comments and queries.
  14. Try for about an hour to fit a message in, then wonder if there is some form of shorthand code to get longer messages across. Give up on that, then fall into despair, knowing there is no chance on Bob of getting a message across under that limitation. We'll be able to hear his cries of frustration and rage all across our forums. Will be interesting to see how the Twitter works out. Not a fan of it myself, but if it helps get information out, then all for it.
