Like I said earlier ive been disgusted at MI6 since I saw the threads of people who wanted to stay on good terms and they were crapped on... I know YOU personally werent one of those (sorry) but Chim was, Merger was, Ava was... and they were all in govt and pretty obviously didnt think pursuing a normal relationship with us was worth it... if anything this made it easy to jump in against MI6.

That would probably be because you were mostly made up of former MI6 members, and most of our members did not want to pursue a relationship, so we did not see it as prudent. I'm not sure what is so difficult to see about that.

EDIT: Though after re-reading your post, we did, as a government, attempt to pursue a normal relationship with you guys. It was more our members that didn't see that as the most prudent option, so if you're going to blame someone, blame Chim, since he seems to be getting most of the blame.

My god, can you reach any further? That's a list that's open to pretty much anyone on our forums... it was Kait's joking 'wish list' from when we started. The idea that this is an active poaching list is positively laughable. We used to talk about people's positioning on it in our public IRC channel.

We're just so terrible. Meanwhile you got caught with your hands in at least two of our member's pockets in the last 24 hours.... How delightfully projectionist of you.

We're at war, can you really blame him?

Still cant come to terms that people left MI6 because we got tired of your crap?

I would think he has expressed the fact that he has come to terms with that. In fact, many of those MI6ers that left for TBC have since returned. So, I'm not really sure where, exactly, you're getting this idea that Chimaera remains bitter about the fact that you all left six months ago.

MI6 will never change, that much has been clear to me for a long time, and should be clear to you all now. My disillusionment with MI6 when I left was because leaders before me, far better than I could ever hope to be, had failed. MI6 revolves around Chim every time he runs, and he is elected like it was nothing. Sadly, this leads the rest of Bob to view MI6 and Chim as interchangeable--the same. And can we really blame them? Whenever Chim isn't in government, if gov does something he doesn't like, he meddles. He has his finger in every backroom pot deal that ends up undermining the legitimate government, proving yet again that he is the one truly in control of you all. People say "Well then, why not just kick him out?" Those people are idiots. Doing so would lead MI6 to the burnt out husk that TL is referring to, all because of this ridiculously stupid personality cult. I spent a lot of time cultivating relations with TBC when I was MoFA in MI6, realizing that it was a natural treaty. Instead, those relations went to !@#$ because Chim decided that his ego was bruised. Instead of acting like an adult, Chim lashed out even more. This very war occurs because of that childish, impulsive behavior that should not have been tolerated from the beginning. I hate to say I told you so but this once, this one time, I will relish it because I !@#$@#$ told you so, you arrogant pricks. You can't keep sitting in MI6, fawning over how great you are while making yourselves the burr in everyone else's ass. THIS is where that brings you. Until you stop thinking Chim is god, this is exactly what you will continue to get, and what you deserve. If you EVER want to be something other than the receiving end of his abuse and manipulation, you know what you must do. Otherwise, well, you've made that bed. Time to sleep in it.

This was remarkably difficult to read, but I nonetheless persevered.

I used to like you, bomber, but this post and others like it reveal that there is little hope left for you.

That's what we call an example.

As I already said, poaching isn't really a massive issue and definitely not a reason alone for war. It is more of an annoyance and is frustrating when telling you "no thanks" doesn't seem to stop it.

"Chim just tried to recruit me again lol" has been a pretty frequent statement in our backchannel since our DoE. Sort of an ongoing joke for us at this point.

Okay, those three statements did not relate to one another in any way, and contradict each other. I'm not sure what you were trying to prove with this post, Hoo.

"You" doesn't mean you personally. While we've seen plenty of conversations and logs in regard to us, I don't recall you being in them or at least weren't involved in any of the negative commentary. Gold star for you.

I don't need other parties to form an opinion of Chim's involvement. I saw it when I was a member and have seen it after I was gone. Perks of having plenty of friends in MI6 at the time who were not amused at what he was trying to do and the amount of dishonesty he exhibited. Like it or not, that still reflected on you.

I am attempting to recall a time when Chimaera was dishonest with me, and am failing to do so. You all left because you were tired of the constant anger within the alliance, which was caused by keeping OPSEC things OPSEC, something I would have expected former alliance leaders, such as yourself and Gibs and all the others who left, to understand.

Bold thought: Polar and NG got tired of burying axes in each others skulls once a year, pulled them out, and decided to go on a grand crusade together. Unsure how that's selling out?

I was not upset when Polar signed with NG. Instead I saw it as a prudent, political move. They saw Doom as the biggest threat to their security (and justifiably so), so they signed with an Oculus alliance in order to secure their position.

They sold out when they signed with Pacifica. That is what infuriated me and has caused me to nearly double my post count in the last few hours.

You are correct, we haven't had any recent issues ... but are incorrect about why no attack came. Of course you're bigger than us, but we could have had any number of alliances sign up for such an attack along with us. We chose not to. You're welcome.

Being quiet is great and not an awful idea, but doesn't magic away past transgressions. Again, when you act towards an alliance as some of yours have and the day comes where they have a decision to make ... well, you already made it for them.

I certainly don't recall making any decisions for MI6 with regards to how to treat TBC, other than determining, along with Shuru, to close the embassies until March. Chimaera is not the entirety of MI6, despite what other parties would have you think.

And if that's the case than you already know you are causing more of an embarrassment on yourself (pulling the 'I was gov once' card)

In what way? I was gov when Polar was ascending to the top of the world in 2012 and 2013. Not now, when it is sacrificing everything it stood for in exchange for some pixels.

I think you lack understanding the difference between betrayal and progression.

Polar is Polar, always has been and always will be- in a sense that they are not swayed, strong-armed, manipulated, or intimidated.

It amazes me the amount of people who are mad at polar for being on the giving end again- a lot of whom are the same people who band wagoned Polar when they stood isolated. And now that the big bear is on the prowl, half arse alliances are pissing their pants.

I was a member of Polaris for almost five years. I served in her government for two. I would hardly say I was ever on the opposing side of the web from them.

There was no ill will from us, yet its hard to like someones whos being an ass at every turn. So when friends asked... BOOM

im not privy to any of this stuff but I think that what Hoo is saying...

I could be wrong, but I don't recall any vitriol occurring after mid-February. You could have attacked us then. But you didn't. I am 95% confident it was because we were bigger than you, more coordinated than you, and quieter than you. You aligned yourselves with Oculus, and you brought this on yourselves. We have been quiet for the last four months, so don't try to pin this on us being confrontational, as so many of your comrades have done.

Far from it Merger, but you hang on to whatever fantasy you believe in if it helps.  We are actually NG's pawns for the record, but none the less we still stand for exactly what we always have, Order.  We have had our issues with Pacifica, none more than me, but time is a curious thing.

You can rant and rave all you like, when the dust settles and the world ends there will be Order.  Then our work is done, you left to do whatever it was you are doing, I stayed to help build something else.  There is a reason I am MiniTru, and it isn't for my diplomatic smile.

See you in your crater later

I don't see any crater, all I see is a Polaris that has betrayed everything it stood for. I am, now, ashamed to have ever called myself a Polar. I am ashamed of what you have become, or maybe this is what you've always been, Grub. There will be no Order when the dust settles. The Orders will be ripped apart and you will hopefully come to realize the depth of your errors.

To be fair, we aren't attacking you over those problems. They are, however, what made it easy to agree to help when asked.

We had no interest in attacking an alliance that was just rebuilding after getting rolled, regardless of Chim's ongoing idiocy.

Like I said, some might disagree, but we're not attacking them over any of that. That stretch of stupidity just made joining in an easier decision to make.

So these two posts have nothing to do with one another? "Making it easier to agree" does not equal "not attacking over any of that"? Maybe it's me, but that sounds very much like an admission that this war was started for, at least partially, that reason.
